I was in a car accident a few years ago and I was recommended to go to Plus Care. Within a few short visits any pain I felt was gone. Their massages were great and it didn't matter who was giving it. Their music selection was very relaxing and calming. Fast forward to now, and I have continued to use them as my go-to Chiropractor. Whenever I do something stupid and mess my back up, all it takes is a few visits and I'm back to normal. I had a shoulder issue recently and within one visit my shoulder felt better. They were completely fine with that. Also, I didn't notice any strong Christian influence like other reviewers (I wouldn't have liked that either). I came here because of Groupon. Me and my husband both had an hour massage, laser treatment and foot bath. We got there I only got a 30 minute massage witch the lady seamed like she hated her job and for a non religious person she was playing religious music during my supposed be hour massage. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time and I also felt rushed. The laser treatment that I got wasn't even laser treatment and my husband got the foot bath witch did nothing. I have been looking for a good chiropractor but haven't gotten around to actually going anywhere yet. I decided to go here on the recommendation of a co-worker and I am very happy I did. I walked into a very nice and clean waiting room. I was immediately greeted by the front desk girl and given my paperwork to fill out after I handed them my insurance cards. Once that was done I was taken back into a room and a nice young man came and gave me the rundown on my insurance. I called my insurance before I went in to get a good idea of what they cover and he told me exactly what my insurance told me as well. I then met Dr. Allen who came in a did an exam on me and gave me a quick rundown of Chiropractic as a whole even though I had a pretty good idea about it. He took me to get X-rays done and while he looked them over I went to do some therapy with the tens unit and the ultrasound machine. I talked to Dr. Allen before I left and he gave me a quick rundown of what he saw on the X-rays, told me he would go more in depth with my next appointment and gave me a manipulation and I was out the door. I did go back two days later and he showed me my x-rays showed me where the problems were and explained everything very well and answered all of my questions. My experience at Plus Care Chiropractic was wonderful, and so much more than what I expected. Unlike the below post, I was not asked to upsale on anything. My hour-long massage was the best massage I ever had, and I have frequented CC Spa in the past. My consultation was very enlightening, and I enjoyed the doctor very much. They did ask for my insurance information, but they did not contact my insurance company to my knowledge, and did not tell me what, if anything, my insurance company would cover. They gave me lots of information on payment plans IF my insurance company does not cover my treatments, if I so choose to have future treatments. I will definitely go back to Plus One, as I have already scheduled another appointment for next week! read more

I ended up at Plus Care because I purchased a groupon from them for a "Massage and Ionic Footbath Wellness Package". This included a consultation with their chiropractor. Before my appointment they offered me some optional add ons (at a cost) and I added a salt scrub and reiki to my massage. They also asked me for my insurance information ahead of time and before the doctor ever met me they starting talking about having my insurance pay for ongoing massage treatments. When I walked in the door the first thing I noticed was that the place really pushes a Christian theme. They have a big Bible sitting on the waiting room table, crosses hanging on the walls, and bible study cards. Great for Christians but may make non-believers very uncomfortable. The consultation with Dr. Allen was fast and felt more like a sales pitch than a medical consultation. He had a little model of a subluxation that he showed me and kept telling me that I had subluxations all up and down my spine and neck. However, without any x-rays or a more thorough exam I wondered how he could really tell the condition of my spine and whether he ever told anyone that their spine was just fine. I was then off to the massage with Emily which I'll say was above average in terms of being relaxing. However, I will mention that she did the salt scrub on my back and limbs but not on my chest or stomach. I found that strange and I have acne on my chest so I was hoping to get the exfoliation of the salt there. After the massage I was taken to a treatment room for the ionic foot bath. They basically brought in a rubbermaid bin filled with water and put some sort of machine in it, strapped something to my index finger, and had me wear a heating pad around my waist. They also poured some salt in the water. As I sat there for 30 minutes in a straight back chair the water turned absolutely disgusting and rust colored. I'm not sure that I felt any different afterwards but they told me I was detoxifying from heavy metals and yeast. They told me that I would benefit from 10-14 of these treatments. I told them I would think about it. However this afternoon when I got home I did a little research into the ionic foot bath and learned that BBC's Consumer Watchdog said the following about it, "It has nothing to do with toxins. It's just basic chemistry - electrolysis. The water goes brown because metal electrodes are rusting in a salt water bath." So even if you don't put your feet in the water, it would still turn brown". I think I'll pass on the 10-14 additional treatments of sitting with my feet in rusting water. After my ionic foot bath the chiropractic assistant took me into an exam room and said that they had called my insurance company and had gotten authorization for me to get up to 20 massages paid for. That may sound great but I am a licensed insurnace agent and I know that insurance companies don't just pay for people to get massages unless they are medically necessary. I thanked her and then called my insurance company after I left and sure enough these massages were not authorized. I have to say, I have seen excellent and very ethical chiropractors before but business practices line the ones I saw at Plus Care Chiropractic give the chiropractic industry a very bad name. read more

I was very surprised to read the negative review given by Shana K. I have been going to Plus Care Chiropractic and Wellness for over a year. I receive adjustments, massage and acupuncture. I walk out feeling better every time I go. I am thrilled that they offer 1 hour massages in conjunction with chiropractic care. I was skeptical at first, when they said that my insurance covers up to 20 massages (in conjunction with chiropractic) because my previous chiropractor charged me out of pocket for every massage (and those were also in conjunction with chiropractic care). I utilized all 20 of the one hour massages last year, along with other treatment modalities at Plus Care, and my insurance indeed covered 100%. That's a POSITIVE, not a negative. I have recommended Plus Care to my co-workers/friends and have heard only positive experiences. The office is clean. The staff are so courteous and professional. I miss Emily (she no longer works there) but Olivia (the one who replaced Emily) gives a fantastic therapeutic massage. I don't know how I got along before finding out about Plus Care through a GROUPON. I would recommend this business to anyone in need of chiropractic care. read more

I purchased a groupon for a massage, acupuncture and zyto scan for this company. I called and emailed them in January and my appointment was scheduled for February. My first appointment was rescheduled by them,for March due to bad weather that day. They send you text messages to confirm your appointment so I knew I was still good to go. I drove about an hour away to get there and when I did they said they only had me down for the 5 min zyto scan. They said they would have time to do that and the acupuncture that day, but the massage would have to be rescheduled. Keep in mind I live about an hour away, so I told them I would not be coming back for their mistake and I would just do without it. They then told me that if I didnt, they would not do any of the services on me, because that would void some contract they had with groupon. So I left and called groupon myself. The person I spoke with said that was basically a lie, because they would have no way of knowing they never did the services. They also said they would make note of them, because they do not want to do business with a company like that. So they basically lie and can not do a simple job of scheduling correct appointments. There are many other places that are better and much nicer looking than this place. So please do your self a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I was a patient of Plus Care Chiropractic several years ago and for the most part was relatively satisfied. My pain level improved but I'm not completely sure if it was from the chiropractic care, the physical therapy that I received elsewhere or from starting a yoga program. I attempted to make an appointment a few months ago because my pain had returned. It is quite annoying that they have such a long message on their machine that you have to listen to, before you are given an opportunity to leave a message. Also their hours are rather random. Once I finally reached someone, they told me that my insurance would most likely not cover the services, and that I should just pay out of pocket and they would charge me the approved insurance amount. That didn't sound right, so I called my insurance company and they insisted that I did have coverage and I would be covered for chiropractic care. My insurance agent even called them to find out what they were talking about but they weren't very good about returning calls so nothing was really resolved. I didn't make an appointment at that time because even though I was in a fair amount of pain, I was disillusioned by the whole thing. My pain continued to worsen, so I tried once again to make an appointment. As usual no one answered and I had to sit through the lengthy message. I left a message that I wanted to schedule an appointment. No one returned my call, so I called again about 4 hours later. I was told that they were busy and that they check their messages in the morning and afternoon. There were just too many red flags by that point, so I gave up and went elsewhere. Thankfully I had no problems with the new chiropractor that I called. read more
