That's fine. What I don't think is "fine" is getting injected and having them hand you an iPad with a "tip" for your injector. Already looking at 20%. It should not be ethical to "tip" for any medical (whether elective or not) based stuff. So let's say you spend 1k on an injectable.... Are they really expecting you to tip $200 for 5 min of time? So what... I'm paying an injector more than my lawyer or a surgeon? No thank you.

Outside it says Walk-in medical clinic and if I didn't know this ahead of time I would have been a little confused. There is a parking lot right next to it which is a big plus for me because so many places in Long Beach have street parking only. The inside is clean, no issues there. The women at the front desk have always been polite to me and I've never had any issues checking in or scheduling my next appointment. There has also never been more than one or two other people at most in the front waiting area, usually there is nobody else. I'm always called back to a treatment room within 5 minutes of checking in. After I undress for the procedure my wait has never been more than 5-10 minutes, only once it had been about 10. I've had 2 different nurses and the doctor do my treatments. They have all been super nice and I don't ever feel uncomfortable at all. They are knowledgeable and can answer questions or give recommendations for other treatments but they don't do a full court press on trying to upsell you like most med spas I have been to. I love this because it makes my appointments more enjoyable. I have previously had some laser hair removal treatments done elsewhere before coming across LBC Laser MD within the past few years. In comparison, all three women who did my treatments here were way more thorough than anywhere else I have been. I always felt other places rushed and skipped spots so you would have to buy more treatments. So my appointments here may be a little longer but I appreciate it because if I'm spending the time and money already and staying out of the sun for months, I want it done right with good results. Overall my experience has been really good and I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

It's just the nature of the healthcare/service industry. Little delays stack up when people have questions or issues. I have seen NP Angel for every appointment except one. Angel is a true professional and she makes me feel completely at ease during my appointments. She's always good about talking though any changes I've made to my skincare routine to make sure it won't interact/interfere with the treatment. As with everything in life, you need to find who/what works for you through trying them out. I tried another NP at SEV when Angel wasn't available, and while she wasn't bad at all, there are just little things that Angel does that appeal to me and improve my overall experience (I have high anxiety about procedures).

If he recommends something that he does not offer at his practice, he is not someone who will push to get your business. He will recommend you to people he can personally vouch for. My experience with him has been a 10 /10 for all services at Lumier Medical, and I have also been appreciate for his trusted referrals to understands my needs better. I have Indian combination skin, which can be hard to deal with using IPL and other procedures. But Dr. Lum is a very cautious and careful person. He will always err on the side of caution, but also deliver results. I actually found him from a personal referral myself! I keep coming back to Dr. Lum because he is a professional and ethical provider who is great at what he does. I also always learn something new when we chat! Great guy!
