Unpleasantly surprised! I have been researching some med spas looking to get a bit of filler and Botox on some problem areas on my face. I chose this place because it's 5 minutes away from home and has good reviews. I came in as a walk-in and waited about 1hr for a consult. I was ok with the wait, until I got into see the Dr. and felt rushed through the entire consult. Aside from being unprepared for our consult, the Dr. proceeded to touch my face without gloves and rushed through the exam. Not wearing gloves is a deal breaker for me. I think it is a bit unprofessional, and unsanitary. The consultation was free, which was a plus. I thought the price was a bit high for the procedures I was interested in, which further deterred me from actually getting anything done. I have been receiving laser hair removal at this location every 5 weeks religiously since January of 2020. I am so glad I made this investment in myself and have convinced other friends to take the laser hair leap as well. As someone who has suffered from deep ingrowns which led to scarring with both shaving and waxing, I haven't had a bad ingrown hair since (I think) my second treatment. My skin is so smooth and I can go days/weeks at a time without any growth. What does grow back is much finer hair now, and very sparse. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the nurses are competent (I say that as an RN myself) and I never feel like they are trying to upsell me on anything. Yes, permanent hair removal requires a time (and money) investment, but I think it is completely worth it to never have to worry about having time to shave, or deal with ugly, painful ingrowns. I have been wanting to write a review about this facility. Doctor is the only one that does the consultations for Botox. First time going in for Botox, he evaluated me for 40-45 units ($8 a unit) so I agreed. I did NOT sign any consents BEFORE and after care etc. and injected me on the spot. When it was time for check-out, I was charged for 80 units which took me by surprise!! He then started telling me how he distributed for all the areas I wanted. I was never comfortable with this. In addition, I had nothing in writing for me to care and or watch out for. Months later I went to a different location, and it was OPPOSITE. I signed consent forms and nurse told me exactly what I needed, where I needed (only 30 units)! I will never return to Plush Derma. Doctor is nice but a good salesperson! read more

I want to begin by saying I didn't not know this place was minutes away from my house in a shopping center. It didn't occur to me at all. Anyway, I made an appointment but before that, I love that I was contacted via yelp first when I had a few questions. I love having an interaction with the business first. It makes me feel comfortable. I wanted Laser Hair Removal to my chin and even though it's a small section, I was still scared. I am not a punk, so I toughen up and made my appointment. I went after work and the parking is great and you can find anyway to park free! When I entered the place, it was so clean and quiet and calm. I needed that for my calm nerves. The nice lady at the front desk was nice, quiet and calm just like the facility. My appointment was 6pm and I love that they started on me ON TIME like literally on the dot! The lady that did the procedure was also nice and calm. I know I keep saying that, but it was like everyone was high off some nice herb, lol and I loved that! She explained what I was going to feel which is like a quick pinch and I understood. She started on me and oh my, It was painless, and yes the only pain I felt was like less than half a second....so quick I didn't have time to scream because the pain didn't last. I don't know if I could have that done to my whole body like some people do though, so I am glad I only have one annoying section on my body. I will be going back for sure until my procedure is done. I've gone to Plush Derma for my lip filler and absolutely love that a Doctor takes his time to perform the procedure he's reassuring. He makes sure you're COMPLETELY numb!! I've heard stories where the patient is not numb but he puts the numbing cream which is amazing to me. I felt nothing. He knows where to inject it and I barely, if even, any bruising. I only come here and no where else. His price is also reasonable, trust me I've done my shopping around, his price is very reasonable, and the results are amazing. I recommended my mom to this place for filler on her face and the doctor recommended her a longer lasting filler and she's a total sceptic and she did it. She's happy with her results as well. I went in for laser hair removal and it was a great experience overall. The session is really quick and the pain isn't anywhere near as bad as waxing. I noticed results after my first time. Some hair grew back (it was a bit patchy) but to see that some hair wasn't growing anymore after the first time was an encouraging thing. When I called to make an appointment, the gal at Plush Derma made it easy. She didn't hassle me at all about having a Groupon and I found a time and date that worked within a couple weeks. They called to confirm my appointment the day before. When I arrived, I was immediately taken back for my "consultation." This ended up being the doctor on a tv screen telling me basic info that everyone who has ever Googled laser hair removal already knows. Even though it was kind of funny to have a prerecorded consult, recorded on an iPhone no less, I definitely appreciate that it helps them be more efficient. I would rather have a video than wait a long time to meet with someone that provides super basic info anyways. If I were to take any stars away it would be that they sell the laser tip at $15. I think this could be mentioned when an appointment is being made. Also, I have to keep track of it myself and bring it next time or be charged another $15. But in the end, it's $15. Not really worth a fight. The nurse that did my laser treatment was very kind and friendly and chatty, which was great at it took my mind off things. She iced me before and after each treatment and the pain really isn't bad. It feels like suction cups, not burning. A few places were a little ouchy but nothing as bad as waxing for sure. I forgot to take Advil in advance and it turned out to be fine. I purchased an 8 treatment package and I'm glad I did as the informative video (ha) told me most patients need 8-10 treatments. Hoping I can report back good results in a few months! Overall this place is friendly, has a professional nurse on staff, and keeps appointments on schedule. It's in a pretty random strip mall in Carson, but the inside is nice and new. Definitely worth a try! read more
