This place was wonderful! I was able to check in online, walk in with no trouble, and they were waiting for my 6 yo daughter who required stitches. The "paperwork" was streamlined and easy. We saw two doctors since we came at change of shift, but everyone explained everything that was happening and never left us in the dark. My daughter had a previous situation with stitches that was quite traumatic, so she was understandably fearful, but they were so gentle with her, walked her through the process, and she was able to receive the stitches without restraint or tears. And it helped that they had a TV in the room to keep her occupied, especially when she was tired, hungry (this happened right before dinner), and hurt. I would choose to go here in a heartbeat over other urgent cares and ERs I've been to because of how they cater to children, their efficiency, and communication. read more

We brought our child here, and after an examination the doc recommended we take our child to the pediatric ER at INOVA Fairfax. All ended up fine, and we were sitting at home at 9pm on a Saturday night, when Dr. Eisen called to check on our child. We really appreciated that. Super impressed with the staff here. We live in CA but were visiting my parents when my son became ill. The nurses and the staff were knowledgeable and confident with their ability to treat my son and made me feel very comfortable with trusting them. Took my 4 year old daughter to the Springfield location after having a fever of 103 for over 24 hours. The building was extemely clean. We were met with a friendly greeting by the recieptionist. The registration process was very easy and we were registered within 10 minutes (didn't require filling out 15 pieces of paper). There were no other patients and were called to the back within 5 minutes. The nurse greeted us with a smile and took us to our room where she asked questions to find out exactly why we were there. The Doctor (Justin) came right in and he was just as nice as everyone else. He was extremely informative and he explained everything to me before explaining it to my daughter. My toddler had fever yesterday and today with no other symptoms, thus I googled the closest pediatric urgent care from my house and decided to visit them for the first time. I called them prior of going to ensure they would take my insurance. Receptionist was friendly, I checked in through their own app, speedy and uncomplicated process. Within 10 min of our arrival, a nurse called us in. The doctor who saw my daughter deserves more than 5 stars. Usually docs dismiss us so quickly, but she was so thorough, delicate and respectful with my little one. Honestly I felt disappointed. I had to bring my child in the middle of the night, we were traveling and just came back from South America and believed he had a stomach flu or parasites. Our traveling insurance paid for everything (Assist Card). They charged for the visit and that was normal but they did bunch of tests that they charges the company and never really did. If it was for them, would've never know what happened to our kid. Since he kept throwing up and sick , we ended having to go to a decent doctor that gave us results to new tests. PM Pediatrics is fantastic. We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Our son was given juice and Welch's fruit snacks (after the friendly receptionist asked our permission) and cartoons in the waiting room kept him happy. We only waited for a few minutes before the doctor took us back. He was quick yet thorough and was great with our son. We were given complimentary heating packs for our son's strained muscle and the doctor took time to answer all of our questions. Upon leaving the receptionist gave our son a few stickers which was the cherry on top of a great doctors visit. PM Pediatrics is an exemplary display of how medical care should be. Convenient location for those in the NOVA area. I was able to pre-book my son's appointment online and check-in on the iPad when we arrived. No one was in the waiting room, so the receptionist was able to process us quickly. She was also quite pleasant! We sat down, but were immediately called back. The doctor came into our room a minute later and quickly diagnosed our son's condition and got us discharged with a prescription called into the CVS across the parking lot. I think all-in-all we were there 10-15 minutes and our prescription was ready at CVS when I walked in their door. Excellent experience. read more

I was referred by my pediatrician's office after calling the after hours line. Had to go in late night after 18 month old daughter had a reaction to her vaccine turns out it was administered too deep in the muscle so it was irritated but not an infection. Front office staff and nurse were nice and doctor was very knowledgeable and good with the baby. Doctor reassured me and knew exactly what it was after examining the area. The facility is very kid friendly and clean. So much better than having to go to the emergency room and wait for long periods. read more

This brand new clinic is your choice!!! Welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff. Has hours until midnight for any of your emergencies-xrays to boot! We had a late evening soccer injury dreading the hospital ER. I am a parent of 5 and have lived in Fairfax County for 30 years-I've seen it all! From the kind natured receptionist to the fun bubbly Nurse our experience was awesome. The facility was clean, staff were pleasant and my husband was instantly pleased with my choice of facilities. Prior to visiting, I read prior reviews and saw one that spotlighted Dr. Pepper, his professionalism and approachable bedside manner. After having my son evaluated, I realized that it was Dr. Pepper that we were speaking to. I even told him how there was an awesome yelp review about him and that was one of the reasons that we chose this facility. From the time that he entered the room, he was kind and approachable. His manner with my 4 yr old son was beyond professional. There are some people in this world who go into a profession for accolades or financial stability, but you can feel that their heart is not in it. I feel within my heart that Dr. Pepper is doing exactly what God meant for him to do and I am thankful to have him care for my son. He explained everything and remained kind, soft spirited and approachable. He educated us and explained why he chose or declined a specific treatment for my baby's condition. Our 9yo sliced her hand. There was a lot of blood and I was nervous. I called our pediatrician hoping for guidance about which emergency room we should try, knowing that rush hour was underway. They suggested PM Pediatrics. I called and they put Dr. Johnson on the phone who kindly talked me through stopping the bleeding, had me text her a photo to see if they would be able to treat our daughter, and texted me the address. They could not have been nicer and more professional. Our daughter needed 6 stitches and they calmed her and were very gentle but efficient. They explained things to her at a level that was appropriate and reassuring. They even had a TV in the room to help distract her and pass the time while the medicine was kicking in. With 3 young children, I'm so glad to know this place exists!! read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Jackson. She was amazing!!!! We have seen her twice - once with our 5 year old and once with our 8 year old. Both times her rapport with the kids has been TOP NOTCH! She is so much more than a patient, experienced and thoughtful doctor. The way she puts the kids at ease is truly a gift. Specifically, on our most recent visit to remove 10 stitches in my 8-year old's face (which were put in by a plastic surgeon out of town), when I told her he was incredibly nervous and scared she focused completely on him, explaining the process and even offering to let him do it himself!!! He declined but you get the point. She is incredible. While I truly hope we don't ever have to return, I'm extremely comforted to know that Dr. Saadiya Jackson is there for us if we do. read more

Top notch medical care, delivered politely and expertly and in a convenient location. So why not a better review? Because you find your kid screaming in distress after normal medical office hours, and you call them and ask, "Do you take X insurance?" They say, "Yes, come right on in." And what you should have asked, in all of the uproar, was, "Are you a participating X insurance in-network provider?" You needed to do that, because whatever insurance you have, they're most likely going to say they take it. And then, because they're not "in-network participants," you most likely are going to get a huge, huge, gigantic bill. Just like the one I got. Meaning, $200 or $300 or $500. And it is my impression that they knew exactly what you were asking when you asked "Do you take X insurance?" They know the translation of that is generally: "Will I be able to make a copay, for $20 or $30, or am I going to get reamed by you?" It is my impression they knew what your question meant, and the receptionist knew, and the fire hydrant outside on the sidewalk knew. Yes, you're grateful your child got competent care. They knew you'd be grateful. Just remember to ask the right questions, because if you don't, you're going to learn the hard way that they're leaving such clarifications up to you, because, you know, they're in business to do business. And if you get reamed by this clarification not occurring, tough luck for ya. read more
