Would have given 5 stars if they had wait service. You have to order up front, but it is delivered to your table. I had to ask for eating utensils for my triple decker sandwich. PMS, which I have learned stands for Professionally Made Sandwiches, gets quite a bit of military business. When I was here, there were at least eight or ten in fatigues chowing down on sandwiches. And wow, I can see why. I had a 12 inch "Pilot's Pride" and it was well loaded in meats and cheeses and shredded lettuce on top. Boar's Head, so it was good quality! Very tasty and a good lunch. The macaroni salad on the side was different and interesting with bits of shredded cheese. Yum, would come here again. Smaller sized parking lot and if it's busy (and it usually is), you might have to share a table. That's okay! read more

The place is actually very bright and spacious inside, not what you'd think from the outside. Tons of tables. You get in line, order, and they bring your food out. Browse and be tempted by the display of cupcakes on your way to the register. They looked great, and people have said great things about them, so I'll definitely get one next time. I chose the General Booth - Grilled Chicken, Pesto mayo, avocado, and red peppers. (I got it without the red peppers.) Tami C. chose the "Hot Mama" because she is one! Lol. It had turkey, pesto, cream cheese, and a couple other things. Soooo, their food is DELICIOUS. Couldn't remember what I had last time, but today tried the Italian Melt. Yummy! Didn't realize it was a panini which I havent had in a long time either. So good! This place seems more like a locals establishment. I worked with a guy that stopped by at least once a week. I know that they have a reward program and the food is good, not sure if you get what you pay for though. Just two sandwiches and two drinks were $36 and we didn't leave a scrap behind, but I didn't leave us totally satisfied. That's a little steep for my wallet. I've had the General Booth and the Southwest Club. Both delicious... But smallish. My girlfriend had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and it was too much wrap and not enough of the good stuff inside. The package could've been heavier for sure. The wrap had a kick to it though! Somewhat overpowered the other flavors in it though. The folks inside of this place as so nice that I almost feel bad about being on the fence with a three star review. I hope they find their balance and can be more well noticed. As soon as I walked in, I got the immediate vibe that it was a local and chill type establishment. Very simple place with military members and blue collar workers. They have a few coaches with a few dozen magazines as well. The gentleman who took my order was friendly, he did a good job helping me narrow down my order. I decided on the Italian hero. I'm a pretty tough critic of Italian sandwiches, but at least I knew with Boar's Head meats and no regular ham, it was going to at least be decent. It was a fine sandwich. The bread was pretty standard Italian bread, not the best, not the worst. I did like that there was a nice sweet vinaigrette and plenty of Italian seasoning on top. To find a flaw, the one thing that would have really helped the sandwich go over the top would have been some cherry peppers or some other kind of peppers to give it some spice. Thumbs up for having Coke products and brewed iced tea. They also have to go bags readily available by the condiment table as well. Not sure what made me want to go here, but I'm glad I did! The way they make their sandwiches is SOOOO good! I was skeptical at first because lately I haven't had a good basic sandwich. I always thought to myself all sandwiches tastes the same no matter where you go. This place had it down to the tee. When you walk in, I was surprised by how big the place actually was. They had plenty of chairs and tables and they also had couches. The menu had a lot to choose from. They also now sell Boars Head, which is really good ham and turkey. I ordered The General Booth which is grilled chicken, provolone cheese, avocado, roasted red peppers, and pesto mayo on chiabata bread. Sounds basic, but that grilled chicken was on point! The way the chicken was cooked and the way they put the panini perfectly together was outstanding. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I understand why; the meat and the bread is great quality. I've had PMS Deli more times than I can remember. We've been in person and I've had many lunches catered by them. Going in person is way better than what you get when they cater. Nice selection but it is pricey! I like their roast beef sandwiches and their tuna salad. Again, the salads you order in person are 100% better than what you get when they are catering for hundreds. I have repeatedly disappointed by their wilted lettuce in their catered salads (I am a salad junkie and I like my salads fresh!) However my biggest rave is regarding their orange cake. OMGeeeeee! Absolutely delicious! Very moist and just like Momma use to make it. I hope they are still serving it the next time you stop in. read more

After many recommendations I've decided to come here for lunch. First time in and I like the atmosphere of the place. It's a local place and has that feel to it. Lots to choose from on the Menu. I got the Firefighter Sub. It was pretty damn good. Meat was awesome. Plenty of meat on there. Bread was great. It was fresh. Spicy mustard was really good. Only thing I didn't like was the fries it came with. They were soggy and not that appetizing. It was about 13 bucks for the combo. Few dollars more than going to a chain place but I don't mind paying a little more to not eat foam bread or whatever else they put in their meat. Give them a try. I have been to PMS deli quite a few times and I would have to say they are very consistently delicious. I mean, who can resist a good sandwich and a side of macaroni salad!? Oh, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my cupcakes because I inhaled two on the ride home. Needless to say, they are mouthwatering. I believe I had a champagne cupcake and a chocolate cupcake. You need to try these things! This restaurant is set up like a deli counter and then you pick a table to sit and stuff your face. They use boars head deli meat which is very tasty. I love how they can make simple sammies (grilled cheese) while also going for the fancy ingredients (Apple slices, cheeses, jams, etc). read more

i've been here twice now, once for lunch and once for breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches were a bit of a disappointment. I was excited to see that they were willing to slap some fried eggs on a variety of different sandwich options but of course the egg yolks came out rock solid, as in hard as a rock solid. Note to all restaurant proprietors...if the yolk isn't runny you are losing points!! This place shines brightest on the lunch selections. I think the grilled cheese section of the menu provides the most unique offerings. I had the grown up grilled cheese with Asian slaw. This work of inspiration has sourdough bread, sliced tomato, really good cheddar all with a layer of delicious pesto. I really enjoyed it. And the Asian slaw was awesome with good sesame flavor along with ramen noodles thrown in for added texture. Very disappointed today. Ordered pick up breakfast. They said 10-15 mins. When I got there 15 mins later they first went to charge me for the wrong order and then I had to watch and correct the girl making my food. First she thought it was two sunrises then went to do bacon not sausage and provolone not American. And then was so rude and acted like I was the one in the wrong. 20 mins later... My steak and cheese had basically no steak in it. Tasted terrible. Disappointed as this was our local breakfast joint. But the rude service and bad food has put a bad taste in my mouth read more

I can keep this one really simple. I got the chicken panini and honestly I could have gotten better at a chain for almost half the price. Ingredients was pretty fresh but the overall quality was not worth the price I paid. There are plenty of other places that you can go for a sandwich that would be better than this place. Thank you Barry for getting back to me. Barry, I have yet to try the Cole slaw. I have tried the potatoe salad and pasta. I totally respect the use of fresh ingredients. Being a cook in 3 well known restraurants in Virginia and a total foody cooking various dishes from comfort, and Asian foods myself. I've traveled to many states and been to a few countries experiencing food. My review is not based on anything else but loving your establishment and hoping those items get improved on for a better experience. Potato salad and pasta salad are a huge staples I make during my cook outs which I've made for 12+ years. I'm new to yelp so hoping I responded correctly for you to read on here (I usually post about food and places on Instagram). Thankfully this update post doesn't effect your rating.
