Anyways, I'm certain the ones filtered are authentic since Yelps filtering algorithm isn't reliable. Looking at Amy's work I knew she could do a great job, her portfolio shows she can create dramatic but natural looking changes that compliment the face. When I got to her studio (in a Sola Salon building) Amy was very inviting and we got down to what I wanted and what I didn't want. I asked for her input as well (although I wish had taken more of her input to go darker but I was still nervous about the whole process and wanted to play it safer) and we picked a great color and shape for my brows. Everyone's pain tolerance is different but I found the experience similar to someone pinching the skin at times, and I was honestly so distracted with chatting that after it was done it felt like no big deal. Amy does describe before the process the steps and what happens after your brows are done. You have to not let any water be touching or your hands or fabric rubbing against the brows and some other things (like no saunas) after the first week and month of healing. She gives you a good idea of what to expect, I myself did get the tight itchy feel and flaky feeling going on. It isn't so bad for me that I was nervous or embarrassed to be in public. I actually loved how dark it got that I regret playing it too safe and want to go again for a touch-up and go darker. The next day I returned again to get a Keratin lash lift (an eyelash perm)since I have stubborn stick straight eyelashes that don't match with my glow up brows. The keratin lash is still holding up but I made sure to not have any water touch them between 24-48 hours and the curl lasts between 2-3 months depending on care. I've already have families and friends asking me what I've done with my eyes as they appear brighter in color and larger. As cheesy as it may seem but I told Amy I feel like she really made me feel prettier. I look forward to getting a touch-up. read more

Have got to say hands down the best artist. My eyebrows have never looked this amazing and Amy is the reason why my life is so much easier. I used to take hours just to do my brows every morning and with a two year old right next to you, that can be a little difficult. I'm a full time mommy and a part time nurse and find it hard to have spare time in the morning to prepare breakfast for my husband and baby while keeping the house in tact before I head off to work. I am a nonstop working machine and I sometimes walk out the door with a bare face because I don't have any extra time to do my makeup. When I don't look good I feel like a mess. I called to ask for a quote and to see when I can come in and she immediately responded! I came in the following week and she started the procedure same day. The procedure time was about 2 hours but it was totally worth every second. My eyebrow transformation was so amazing and I look beautiful because of Amy. I wish I found this place sooner! I'll post my pics right after the microblading. Highly recommend Amy to all New Yorkers who have no time to do their makeup and want to look stunning. You guys should be careful about cheap eyebrow tattoo places and take note that you get what you pay for! There is always a bad Groupon story from a cheap tattoo salon. I want to start off by saying Beauty Elements by Amy is the absolute best microblading in NYC. I give this place an infinite amount of stars for her passionate work. Amy is so caring and reassuring. I found her through Yelp and wanted to try the consultation first so I can get an idea of the persons background. It is my face after all. I was holding off microblading for a while because I'm a chicken and I told myself this is a new year so new me. I wanted to look for quality work and found Amy fit my personal preferences. Amy is hands down the best brow artist there is. I happened to score an appointment with her when visiting my best friend in NYC, and I've been so happy since besides the fact that I can't get regular touch ups with her. Seriously though, she's worth flying across the country for so I'll have to see her again my next trip. She's not heavy-handed, so the hairstrokes are super delicate and extremely natural. I love the fact that I don't have to do anything at all to my brows anymore, I wake up and they're ready to go. Being one of those girls that spend the longest time of their makeup on finessing their brows, i was very skeptical on microblading although knowing it would save me a ton of time when doing my makeup. Let me be honest and say that I was so scared to do microbladding because I have heard of the pain and me and pain do not get along but Amy is so sweet that she helped me relax and calm down and answered any and every question I had before I went there and during the procedure. I personally have never had full eyebrows so when the procedure was over I was completely at awe and have to say that it is worth every penny if not more! Amy's personality itself is lovely and talking to her though everything not only helped but it made me understand how much she cares about her clients and the love and effort she puts into her work! She went into so much detail about the process and after care and was so patient with me asking a million questions. Went to Amy yesterday for my micro blading treatment, she is such a nice person besides being talented and thoughtful about spelling out all the details of the 2 step process. I had never had this treatment before and her six years of experience and calm chill set me at ease with the process. My brow hair was decent as an asian person, but through her technique she was able to enhance my brows. It looks natural as if no one knew I got them microbladed. Definitely skilled. She filled in areas that could make it darker. I definitely recommend anyone to come to Amy. She's very sweet and easy to talk to. She will cater to you needs. Amy is such an amazing artist! I got a lash lift and completely fell in love with my eyelashes!!! I've never felt more confident and more beautiful wearing mascara in my whole life! I always try curling my eyelashes with my curler but could never get the full lash to curl right but Amy did a superb job getting the job done! It was my first time microblading, and she was honest about the process, the good and the bad, and gave specific instructions on how to care for my brows after the microblading, so that I would get the best results. I surprised my mom for mother's day and bought her a microblading session with Amy. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and she lost all of her hair from the chemo.
