Trying to transfer funds from PNC business account for business transfer to the external new business owner. PNC REALLY does not want to give me access to the money in this account. DAY 1 - went to PCH to ask for ACH. Teller said it would be an hour or more to meet with a "banker" (one of two people at a desk) for ACH. I said, print counter checks. Counter checks were not accepted by recipient's bank mobile deposit. DAY 2 - try to set up online ACH or wire. PCH says it will take 1-3 business days for PCH to verify online ACH and wire. DAY 2 - Go to branch at noon to ask teller for a wire. Teller says I have to meet a "banker" (someone at a desk). I set an appointment at 4:30, same day. DAY 2 - Return to branch for 4:30 appointment. No "banker" is available. 15 minutes later, a "banker" asks me what I need and pulls the same Teller I met with at noon to meet me at a desk to complete a wire. I ask what the fee is, she says, "$95"?! I have never paid more than $25 for a wire. I ask if she can do ACH, "ACH can only be done through online banking." FML. This bank is the WORST read more

They are restricting my husband from withdrawing "his money" from his account at this bank to pay for his mother's assisted living bill this money. PNC just turned a first-rate bank into a customer service disaster. FirstBank used to be an enjoyable place to bank - smiling tellers, customer service that was A+, an atmosphere that said "we appreciate you". Now it's long lines, tellers that don't smile and don't know how to do the simplest tasks, customer service that isn't. I've banked with FirstBank for maybe thirty years, never had to stand in line more than two or three minutes (and normally no waiting at all) and if I needed a notary there was always someone. Went to the bank today for a withdrawal and also notary service, waited at least 15 minutes behind 6 people in line for a teller so briefly went to a desk where some man was chatting with a woman. I politely asked if he was a notary and he gave me a scowl then pointed to two persons seated about twenty feet away. "You're after them" and went back to what he was doing. Back to the line for a teller which hadn't moved. There were two tellers with a manager behind one obviously guiding her through some task. She looked flustered as though she was a trainee. The other teller seemed to be helping an older woman and she looked stressed also. The general mood of the line ahead of me was impatience. A quick calculation told me that the good old days had just disappeared. I left. l think I'll check out Wells Fargo tomorrow. read more

To all of the former Firstbank customers who were told that the transition from Firstbank to the new PNC bank would be seamless this was untrue. We were told that ALL of our account numbers and bank info would be transferred to the new bank. When my ACH deposits hit my account at the new PNC bank they were SENT BACK! PNC bank does not recognize me when I provide my SSN to enroll on their online banking app. This is the real kicker, Firstbank would permit a mobile deposit to be credited to my account if it was submitted before 3pm. PNC charged me $28 to process my mobile deposit same day even though I mobile deposited the check at 10:00am. The customer service agents at PNC leave much to be desired. I am running far and fast from this bank and by the way, THANKS FOR NOTHING FIRSTBANK! read more

First bank merged with PNC and dropped the ball sooooooooo many times. They made the transition a complete nightmare. 12 calls, and over 6 hours of waiting on the phone or online...horrible. There are too many banks and credit unions who value the customer not make them jump through hoops of fire. I do not recommend using this bank. I am planning my exit strategy. read more

Hold onto your hats, former First One bank customers. It has already been a sxxx show, in less than 5 hours of their taking over. You have to sign in on-line, except your ID and password doesn't work, that is out. Tried to make an appointment, it says O.K, when I get the email confirmation it is for an entirely different time and location that I agreed to. They place your old account into the higher revenue generating account, instead of the PNC Simple plan, without your approval, you have to order new checks at your own cost, you have to contact all previous auto pays on your own, etc. etc. etc. Their info. booklet has 5 pages of consumer rights, and 25 pages of PNC rights!! That alone should give you a clue of what is about to come down the pike. Run as fast as you can away from this corporation. read more

Once again if you could give negative Stars I would as a former first Bank customer for almost a decade I'm going to cancel my PNC accounts. So frustrating they charge for things that first Bank never did and they are paying in the ass customer service is horrible that barely works and honestly the transition sucks. Frustrating bank, had to call Daniel six times to get refund for a fraudulent overdraft fee. Left a message with every call. When he called back he had no recollection of my message and required me to re explain the issue. He made the simple process of a refund difficult and time wasting only to inform me you get 1 overdraft a year. I am leaving the bank as a result of this behavior. read more

It should be a negative 5 stars!!!! I was trying to deposit a check on my phone starting at 11 am in the morning. It would not go through for some reason. I called the woman on the phone said please come in. I went there was a wait to deposit with a line out the door and no one could answer my question. The wait for any kind of help was at least an hour and a half. So I went to another location where no one oculd assist me as well . They had one teller and that was it. I finished making a depost at 2:20 pm. A simple deposit!!! I still dot know why I could not do it on the app!!!!!! Do not , I mean really do not bank with them!!!!!! i was next in line then this spanish speaking lady went in front of us and said she had one question then proceeded to do a whole bank transaction and i was frustrated so I was asking like why she could cut and the lady working said it was becuase she's the only Spanish speaker but that dosent explain why it's okay to cut in front after me waiting for 20 minutes in line read more

They totally butchered a home equity loan getting the rates wrong, and initially assigned us to a very, very junior banker who didn't know much of anything and had to call for reinforcements. And WHATEVER you do if you're involved with any loan application with these people, come armed with a disposable email address or don't give them one at all. Also DO NOT give them your cell phone number. They sold us out within a day of our application (we quickly withdrew it) and have been getting financial spammers for months now, sometimes as many as 5 a day we have to unsubscribe or block. If you give them your real email or cell number, expect a waterfall of spam. read more

Glad I avoid drown Denver like the plague. I came in here on 9/17 @ 11am with crackheads surrounding the entrance so I was a little hesitant to use the ATM so I came inside. I was greeted by the front desk girl "Elaina" like I had to have some sort of weird ulterior motive for waking into a bank. I explained how she had a bunch of weirdos out front so I didn't feel comfortable taking cash out of the ATM HENCE why I stepped inside, and then looked at me as if I had grown a second head. She spoke to me like an idiot child instructing me to get my ID and my debit card out and then laughed at me with the sista security guard (she didn't have a name tag) as I was walking up to the teller. Absolutely the worst banking experience in 65 years. After they bought out BBVA, EVERYTHING went downhill, and their staff at the Federal location in Westminster are no help whatsoever. Almost every damn month, I can spend up to 20-30 minutes just trying to log onto my account. It refuses to store my user ID, or my password, or both. Online bill pay continually screws up. I paid my water bill every month through their online bill pay, only to receive a red notice from the water company threatening to cut off my water for not paying in 6 months. You got it. The funds were being withdrawn, but not paid. I can't tell you how many hours it took to clean this mess up. Mobile check deposit hasn't worked in over a year. After a PNC employee couldn't figure out why, he said, "You'll figure it out" This morning, I spent HOURS just trying to have my power company bill go back to a monthly paper statement. XCEL said that was a PNC matter because they worked through an independent E-Bill company (which no longer works with PNC), and of course PNC said that was XCEL's problem. Employees can take up to 10 goddamn minutes just to find my account, and just blame the delay on the fact that it was once a BBVA account. It once took longer than that to break a hundred. I was promised that my fees would reflect the SAME low/nonexistent fees that I had with BBVA. I'm done waiting for that to happen. Goodbye, PNC!!! Zero stars if I could. read more

PNC bank has got to be the worst bank ever. After they bought BBVA, I would get numerous charges for services which BBVA offered as a courtesy. In addition they changed the nature of my accounts, so that they were subject to more service fees. No one at the local level has authority to reverse service charges, and the management back east typically denies all requests. I have since moved all my accounts and investments over to US bank, which is much more customer friendly. Avoid this ripoff bank. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. read more
