Since they couldn't find a suitable engine, their final recommendation was to send my car to the scrapyard. This was incredibly stressful, as my family was not in a position to take on a new car loan at this time. We brought the car to Ahmed for a second opinion, and he gave us hope. He performed a proper diagnosis and found a fix that cost significantly less than the junking/swapping options. What an awesome experience. I needed an injector and thermostat replaced in my van. I normally do my own work on cars but I was just too busy this week and needed my car fixed quickly. I had diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts on my own but reached out to Ahmed to see how much it would cost to have someone else do the work. The price, excellent. The communication, excellent. The quality of work, excellent. There were no issues asking him to use parts I had purchased. He even took the time to have me come take a look in the middle of the repair to show the faulty part with a multimeter. He brought with him all the tools to work, including lights as it was dark when he was able to come out. He was prepped with paperwork and torque specs for all the things, and was well stocked with all the tools he could need. He worked late into the evening and was very communicative about arrival timing between delays in a previous job and really bad traffic. Got it done on the day he said he would. This was absolutely wonderful, after having such a horrible experience with the first mechanic I went through on this site I was very leary of using yelp again to find another one, but bit the bullet and entered my information to see what came up. And this time after conversation with Ahmed, PNW mobile mechanic I decided to go with him to do the repairs. And he was absolutely amazing. Did tests to make sure ke knew exactly what was wrong with it, ten was here the next day to do the work. Found another issue while doing the repairs and went above and beyond to fix it too. I never write reviews but I've had almost only negative experiences with mechanics in the past talking down to me, belittling my opinions, and outright rudeness to me wanting to learn. This is not Ahmed. I don't even have a quote for repairs yet but already I'm so impressed by his professionalism, his knowledge and the mere fact he talked to me like an equal and not condescending at all. I've been around mechanics most of my adult life (I'm 74). I even employed mechanics. You will not find a better more knowledgeable technician than Ahmed of PNW Mobile Mechanic. What separates Ahmed is his use of high tech electronic equipment that he has for diagnostics. That and the fact that he knows how to use them. He showed up at my place around 6PM to trouble shoot a Jeep that would not turn over. He discovered squirrels had chewed some wires and that the battery was no good. He worked for 2-1/2 hours and even after dark. I don't give out reviews like this very often but I feel very strongly about the quality of his work. I can't recommend PNW Mobile Mechanic enough! originally called him to change my spark plugs and coil packs, but he went above and beyond. While working on my car, he discovered a rat's nest and even noticed a chewed-up wire. Not only did he clean out the nest, but he also took the time to solder the damaged wire back together. On top of that, he applied a product called Rat Sheriff to help keep the rodents from coming back. My car now runs like a dream, and I'm so grateful for his attention to detail and dedication to getting the job done right. So I just had this guy come out to do an inspection on this car I wanted to buy and let me say he was meticulous like he caught a lot of things I would've never seen and guided me through all of it explained it so I could understand and just an overall amazing experience and to top it all off this guy was willing to wait longer then his business hours and still got everything looked at and all of it for like $200 to drive an hour out and work outside business hours. 11/10 will be going to him for any more help needed read more
