The last 4 times I went there I waited in the lobby for so many hours. If I had known it would be that long I would have went home. The last time was 5 and a half hours in the lobby! I tried to go home at hour 3 and was asked to stay (telling me it would be soon.) The prices have really gone up. He wouldn't charge me to look at it so I thought I was getting a good deal but with the high pricing it made up for it. Several hundred dollars cheaper at other places when I called around. I got an oil change here and I made an appointment for it. I waited 3 and a half hours in the lobby and it cost a little over 100$. I mentioned I was feeling the transmission slipping and was told they would take a look at it. At checkout they said nothing, I asked them about it and another 20 minutes later they came back and said it was fine maybe I could get a tune up soon. I brought it in again a few weeks later still with the transmission slipping. They said they found a sensor out and a few other things. I paid a little over 1000$ two separate times within 3 months. Each time I asked is it worth it, to fix it? What about the transmission? I got round about answers and was told fixing it was a good option. Now after putting almost 4000$ into it within a year my transmission needs to be replaced and I can't afford to fix it or get another vehicle! I don't have words for how I feel about that. I really trusted Adrian and so I trusted his crew and I feel like they really let me down and put me in a bad spot. I'm a single mom and I needed the honesty and care I had gotten from Adrian at the beginning but I guess things change.

They charged me over $200 and I drove away with the "check engine soon" light still on. The following week I went to Meineke for an oil change. While I was there, I asked if they could find out why the "check engine soon" light was on. They did and said the #4 cylinder was misfiring. The ignition wire on cylinder #4 wasn't clipping on the spark plug, so they fixed it. They only charged me for the oil change, and I drove away with the "check engine soon" light off and my car running a lot better!

On two accounts they have overtightened and stripped out the oil plug bolt, thus now requiring a new oil pan be installed. I have extensive auto history and have NEVER in my life stripped out an oil plug bolt or spark plug bolt. I have done 15 oil changes on this vehicle in my ownership. Never had an issue with it. To be courteous to the company I called out the desk clerks out to the bay to avoid conversation with waiting clients and demonstrated my history of service on my App. Both desk clerks have put the blame back onto me rather than accepting that their tech is causing hasty damage to peoples vehicles. Integrity in industry is all I am asking and that the damage caused by their tech be repaired.

I read the review and for those that are negative I can tell you this: 1. For every negative review, there have been 100 transmission R & R that are still running out there over 200K that were produced by Mike himself, with his own hands. 2. There are two sides to every story. I will tell you my story. Every single trans and clutch job I brought to Mike was and still is a success, 50K miles later. He doesn't remember this, but when he was lead Trans tech at the shop on State Ave, he put the automatic trans in my Nova and it run 100K. Right then and there I have follow him everywhere he has worked for 25 years. 8 different vehicles of all types from an F250 1996 that I run for 350K miles, to a 1991 Geo Metro 5 speed that NO ONE could figure out their ass from a hole in the ground. Mike made this car run 175K miles and the tran and clutch are like new. NO ONE could get the right clutch in that car. A month ago I brought it in for a value and lifter job. Now it runs like brand new motor. My oil gold. I have no exhaust and spark are light brown. NUTS! Do not listen to the 1 off negatives on this site. The quote there was better coming in around 800$. But then I called Canavan's Auto Repair and was quoted 575$. It ended up costing me a little more than that because of tax and also there was a 4% (around 22$) service fee for using a credit card. But I still feel like I got a great deal and it was less than half the price of the dealership! He was also more friendly and didn't make me feel stupid when I asked questions.
