This is strictly based on customer service because unfortunately I was never given the opportunity to try his food since he never responded or returned my texts. I called to inquire about his service and left a voicemail, which he later returned. He informed me that he was likely available on my scheduled date and that he was almost home and would send me the menu along with a quote... he never did. So I ended up texting him the next day asking for the a quote and he responded with "What time is serving to make sure I can make time" And I responded with the time of our event.... he never responded after that. I felt as a potential customer... I shouldn't have to flag you down for business. If you were busy and could not attend, the least you could do is inform the customer so that they are able book someone else. It was very unprofessional. Do better! read more

Rude. The owner is rude not to mention stingy for a taco catered event. I've booked maybe 10 different taco guys for different events I've hosted. I didn't book pocho but did go to an event that he was the caterer. I've never had a guy say the rice is limited. Or give attitude for getting more than 3 tacos. His staff looked at me and felt guilty when my son asked for more rice the first round and the owner said come back later. Lol anyways too many taco caterers available, try another. read more

I was referred to this caterer through another vendor, but I wish I'd never hired him for my daughter's birthday. On our first conversation over the phone he mentioned how busy he is and made me feel like he was doing me a favor. I was hopeful and figured he's really good, and that's why he's so busy. A few days after we made arrangements and confirmed, he called and tried to change my serving time for his personal convenience. I declined and asked him to stick with our original arrangement. On the day of my event he arrived and literally would not stop talking about how busy he is and how he's regularly contracted by major corporations and never does small events like my party...at this point it officially became annoying. I had a small family party with 25 guests and somehow he managed to be rude to just about all my guests. He was rude when people asked questions about food or salsa, when guests asked for more food, when guests didn't use the same plate and when a guest assumed he spoke Spanish. One guest asked for an Asada taco and this guy rudely said, "It's steak. Not Asada!" I was so embarrassed and spent a large part of the day apologizing to my guests. The food itself was basic. I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal. I know I hired a taco man not a chef, but a bit of effort would have been appreciated. Now, this vendor sticks to a strict "3 taco per person rule". That alone is a weird rule for a taco man, but okay. My point of contention was the absolutely ridiculous excuse for a serving. I don't think he could have placed any less meat on these tacos than he already did. It was absolutely laughable. Seriously! Guests were laughing at these portions. And of course, he managed to run out of food before all my guests arrived and it was according to him, because many people asked for seconds. Look, we can go back and forth about portions and how many tacos per person the contract stated. But I will be clear when saying that not once in my life have I seen someone try and stretch so little food such a long way and then blame the shortage on my guests. I see many five star reviews on this page and I wish I could do the same, but frankly I can't rate this business low enough. Professionalism and customer service should be the foundation of any business. Unfortunately, neither were provided by this vendor. It actually worked out perfect since a lot my guests came after the 1 pm serve time. I ordered three types of meat, bacon wrapped hotdogs, jalapeño poppers and quesadillas. Street tacos done right! I was at a professional event recently that featured Pocho's and they were amazing! I was told by the host of the event that their original catering arrangement fell through last minute and Pochos was able to step in and not only do a satisfactory job, but rather and EXCELLENT job. The owners served us and were kind and helpful. The meat was tasty and seasoned perfectly (and not fatty or chewy like a lot of the cheap taco men use), and the salsa featured a "hot" option that actually had a little kick to it. Best al pastor meat everrrrrrrr. Their mulitas are to die for!! My boyfriend and I have never heard of mulitas before but we tried them and were blown away. What is a mulita? It is basically a mini quesadilla - one corn tortilla, fried with cheese melted on top of it, meat, and then topped with more cheese and another fried corn tortilla. The marinated meat is probably the best we've ever had. The meat and he salsas are full of flavor. You can tell that the chef takes the time and TLC to make flavorful meal/salsas and quality food. They are usually located at the Diamond Bar Oak Tree Lanes every Friday from 8:00PM to 11:00PM. My boyfriend and I try to go every Friday whenever we can. Bring cash. 2 mulitas for $5. I 10/10 recommend this taco business. We hired them for our large catering event (50+) people. They made sure they were prepared for the COVID 19 safety precautions. Our group and family felt extremely safe , on top of the hospitality their food was AMAZING. The meat was so flavorful and moist, their salsas were handmade, and extremely accommodating for any type of spice preference.
