I had a falafel wrap since they were out of pita and you'd think having pita they would have something better than a sorry tough tortilla for it costing 7 bucks. Falafel was burned to where it resembled more of a hush puppy. Tried to eat it but it was brick hard. Sauce had the consistency of silicone rubber caulk right before it dries. Very past-like. Nothing really else was in the wrap to even pick through to eat, so I ended up tossing it. I only wish I had pocketed my cash before approaching this place and gone elsewhere. That being said. . . I just ate this for lunch today because they were stationed at my work. I had the falafel pita. The pita bread was very tasty and so were the falafel patties. The pita was filled with spring mix lettuces and cucumber slices. They were out of tahini sauce, so they substituted ranch dressing, which was fine with me. Just based on the food, I think I'd give it 4 stars. But I thought it was too expensive. $8 for a fairly small and not terribly filling pita. Fries would have put me at $11. Those prices would MAYBE be worth it, if I was at a cute, sit-down cafe. That's what I don't get about food trucks. $8-11 to stand in a hot parking lot next to an exhaust-creating truck? Why? If I want a quick lunch or dinner, there are much cheaper, still tasty, and more filling options than this truck. Just my opinion. read more

I ordered the Loaded Fries and thought they were yummy! $7. Yes, it's kinda pricy but all food trucks are to me. They came to our apartment complex so we try all the food trucks. The had gluten free items too. From the owner: "Our tacos are corn tortillas and Gluten free. We will also be offering Our Fish and fries which are also gluten free". The first experience with Pocket to Me was sharing my boyfriend's "Wicked Hot Sausage" pocket @ Food Truck Fridays @ HEB on West Alabama. It was really hot (as promised) but delicious. We searched online and once I found them on social media, began to look for other opportunities to eat there again. The next time was @BoneyardHouston, where we tried the chicken, which was even hotter than the sausage. I cried from the hotness but it was totally worth it. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good too. I think you can get any of the pockets as wraps, which I prefer but then you might now know when a big bite of jalapeno is going to kick up the heat even more. I wish it was a little easier to know where they were going to be, some food trucks have semi-regular schedules that you can find online. Checked out Pocket To Me for the first time at a food truck festival at Hughes Hangar. We went with the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. The Cheesesteak came with steak, cheese, onions, peppers, and sriracha mayo sauce for a little kick to the regular Cheesesteak. All this was $16 which was a bit pricey but the meal was good. The meat was well cooked and the bread was fresh, definitely loved the sauce as well! read more

I found this place across from the museum of fine arts. They had many different pocket pita options. All great from vegans and vegetarians. I had the skinnygirl pocket. Mushrooms, peppers, vinegarette, lettuce and tomato. Wow, it was amazing. The staff is also incredibly friendly. Check them out if you get the chance. read more

Really disappointed!!!! I notice the amount of food has shrunk and price went up!!! 13 is a lot for two very small thin pieces of fish and 4 shrimp!!! Believe truck and their other truck been servicing my job over a year now and 10 dollars got you fish and fries and the portion was very satisfying!! Pocket to Me came to the La Maison Apts today. It was tough deciding what to order. It all looked great. I finally went with tried & true of fish & chips. The fries are excellent! They are nice & crisp on the outside. While the inside is soft & moist. Very, very good!! The fish batter is very tasteful. It is very crunchy. I would eat here again. Pocket to Me was back at La Maison a week later. I got the chicken strips & fries. Both were excellent! The chicken was cooked well & moist. The fries were just as great as the first time. Some friends got the chicken wrap. They said it was very good. It looked really good. I plan to try that next time. read more

Pocket To Me was at the Tanger Taste & Style Event on Sunday 04/21/13 at the Tanger Outlets in Texas City. My mom ordered the shrimp pocket and I had the fish. I thought mine was wonderful! I'm very picky about fish "tacos" and this one was hands down awesome. It was STUFFED with lightly fried fish and had the perfect slaw topping. I tried my mom's shrimp pocket as well and it was wonderful! I will most definitely eat here again! Tried this food truck on a whim and I'm glad I did! Ordered the fried fish pita pocket and it was tastyy. The batter was crispy and is a perfect casing for the flaky tilapia they use. Also in the pita was homemade cole slaw and that too was on point. Light and refreshing, found pieces of green apple in it too! I might order an extra side of it next time. Yums! The pita was good as expected, although I think it could've been even better if they had toasted it some or warmed up a bit. read more

This food truck is terrible! I hate to say it because the guy was nice and the service was good, but the food was very bad. They served nasty rank tahini that tasted rancid. The shrimp my brother got was bland but ok. The falafel however tasted like nasty grease that needed to be changed. I'm honestly somewhere between a three and four star. I was feeling too lazy to cook, as most nights, so we decided to go out for dinner. Couldn't decide what to eat so we drove around and saw a food truck in front of Liberty Station and decided to give it a try. The picture on their food truck kind of threw me off a bit because I couldn't quite tell what it was. But of course, I know now that it's a pita pocket! They had a good selection I'd say, something for the seafood lover, carnivores and the herbivores. And if you weren't quite feeling too hungry like I was, you could order the smaller portion. All pocket items on the menu had an option of S(mall) or L(arge), which is a good different from most food trucks. As soon as we stood in front of the truck, we were energetically greeted. He was very engaging and answered all questions that we had. We asked for a couple recommendations and he said his favorite was the shrimp pocket and so that's what I had with a side of $4 beer battered onion rings (which there were only 5 rings). Really liked the onion rings, but it definitely wasn't bang for my buck. Shrimp Pocket S $7 L $9 Fried Shrimp inside of fresh pita pocket topped with lettuce, tomato and drizzled with remoulade The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and lightly fried and it marinated with the remoulade perfectly. My only complaint was that it was the pocket as a whole was dry. Yes, I know pitas can be dry, but it could have been saved. Maybe lightly coat the inside of the pocket with remoulade instead of drizzling it on top or add slices of avocado for a touch of creaminess to it. Overall, it was good but not great. The guy that is normally there wasn't there today. He tends to make the experience a little better than the lady. She is always somewhat dry. Mycoworker and I decided to get 2 different things so we could try a little of everything. Well, I ordered the bbq potato $7 and added brisket $2. The potato was kind of hard and had no butter and definitely not enough bbq sauce. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese $3 and it was salty and overcooked (total mush). My coworker ordered the pulled pork sandwich $9 and a side of potato salad $3. The sandwich was not good at all. The bread was cold and the pork had no flavor. The potato salad was ok but she hated it. needless to say, she didn't have lunch because she put her half in the trash.
