A little disappointed as I thought this might be the food truck I can walk over to for lunch. Unfortunately, it fell below my expectations. The guys were extremely nice, service was good, but it took me 25 minutes to order and get my food. Working in corporate, I have a tight schedule on certain days. That is way too long to get your food. I got 3 different tacos with 3 different meats. Pastor, asada, and chicken. I also tried my friends quesodilla with pastor. Salty salty salty. The sauce didn't help and I don't even think they put on the avocado dressing in any of these when I got it. For $24 including tip, I could've gotten a a couple of Chipotle bowls with chips and queso and a couple of drinks!! Sorry, but this was not my cup of tea. read more

Definitely the worst kind of food truck. Was at Kirby Ice House and this was the only food available. There were only two workers, and they had some nasty attitude. After I ordered, the guy at the register said it would be about 30 minutes, and I was okay with that. I came back after 40 minutes since my buzzer did not go off yet. When I asked the guy at the register, he told me it would be another 30 minutes... I was then getting impatient, 10 minutes in, the buzzer goes off, I was getting excited since I was so hungry! Gave him my buzzer, and only to be told that my order is not ready since they only had half the order. At that point, I was really frustrated and confronted them. While confronting the guy at the register, the cook yells angrily "do you want your money back?! do you want your money back?!" In my head, I am thinking... I already waited over an hour for the food, and I am spending money with you... why the bad attitude? Why just not be honest? I would not care or be upset if you were honest in the first place! Food Truck Friday at the office always makes me happy! Wylie St Tacos was one of our options and I opted in! Yum! I remember trying them once in the museum district but hadn't had a chance to write a review. I got one of each taco. They were pretty decently sized, and I enjoyed that they weren't greedy with the portions - I was hangry! Chicken - least favorite of them all. While salty, the flavor just wasn't it for me. Visited this food truck in Alvin tonight. I ordered the Big Ass Green Chili Quesadilla with chicken. Sauce was mild but flavorful. Quesadilla had LOTS of cheese! Tortilla was perfectly grilled with nice texture and crispy edges. Some fresh, sliced avocado would have been the perfect accompaniment. Also ordered the nachos with queso. They were a crispy blue chip with a white cheese queso. Food truck owners were so kind and accommodating when I asked to purchase extra chicken for my quesadilla. Sorry but this truck doesn't meet the minimum qualification of food. First experience and certainly the last. Burnt quesadilla tortilla. I should have fed it to the dogs that were there, but I like dogs.. I was big hungry. And could not eat it. Also got disgusting fish tacos as well ... and chicken and waffle fries was also unrecognizable as food. I'm not a foodie or a snob but I urge you to steer clear. They visited are complex as do others ... but I was severely disappointed. Maybe it was just me. Caveats emptor ... buyer beware. I wanted to support the business... So I had this place yesterday unfortunately I read the reviews while I waited for my order. The beef I ordered was in fact too seasoned. Others described it as too salty but from tasting the meat myself it tasted like a premade seasoning and they are over enhanced with MSG making them over salty. Ok, sooooo...I really wanted to like this food truck. I love a good taco and based on the reviews, thought I was in for a real treat. I ordered one of each of the three tacos featured. I also ordered one asada, one chicken, and one pork...because, well, I'm a foodie and wanted to try them all. The meat was extremely dry and a bit on the salty side. These guys were at the apartment tonight, so I stopped by. I ordered one of each of the tacos (beef, pastor, chicken). The chicken was on the dry side, the pastor was ok but seemed shredded and not as flavorful as I was hoping since they are my favorite. My favorite was the beef, which had a very strong chili flavor I actually expected from the pastor. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I didn't feel they were overly salty at all. Overall, they were pretty good tacos and the service was fast and really friendly. I'd give a higher rating, but $10 for 3 small tacos is a little high. This was not what I expected. Our food was cold. No seasoning. Bad service and no they didn't have a mask on. Customer service was not good. The salsa is store bought "Herdez" brand. Sorry, not a fan of the tacos. Their truck design is pretty cool though. There's not enough difference between the three styles of tacos - Austin, Mediterranean, and Wylie St. They might look a bit different on paper, but what I tasted was primarily just the same avocado jalapeno sauce + cilantro base. Any extras like red onion or cabbage were too scarce to matter. At least compressing the menu down to just the Wylie St and Mediterranean style would make more sense. Tortillas were not good. The flour honestly tasted like rubber. And the corn tortillas weren't nearly as bad, but I've had better from the supermarket. Meats were not good. The beef (asada), pork (pastor), and chicken were all near flavorless. Chicken was breast meat but the beef and pork were pretty much just ground beef and ground pork. I don't know why they even call the pork "pastor" when there's no way it was grilled on a spit, or the beef "carne asada" when it wasn't even steak! Very disappointing when you've come to expect well marinated, juicy meats from the plethora of wonderful taco trucks around town. And the price, $1.75 for a mini taco and $4 for a regular taco? Ridiculous for the size and cheap cuts of meat. I understand this isn't the traditional parked taco truck that sells dirt cheap tacos, but Wylie St. isn't cooking anything unique enough to make it worth these prices. If you want a $4 taco, I highly recommend Torchy's instead. read more

Was sitting in my office when this taco truck pulled up. I've had so many tacos from different backgrounds and such but if you see this taco truck definitely give it a go, its style of cuisine is uniquely different. Austin style was my favorite.
