I also ordered an horchata to wash it down with. The torta and gordita were both delicious. The meat was tender and flavorfull and blended well with the lettuce and tomato inside of it. The sauce gave it a creamy, savory, comforting taste to add depth to the bun on the torta and the corn shell of the gordita. The cheese was just the right amount, complimenting the meat but not overwhelming it. The lettuce and tomato kept everything tasting fresh. Last but not least, what is Mexican food without salsa. The red and green were both on point! While I'm not a big sweet drink person, the horchata was very good. This was a solid meal from a local food truck and did not disappoint. The parking is very limited but you can call ahead and order. It's located off of a busy road and traffic is a bit annoying around there but other than that, the service is excellent. The food truck operator is very nice and the food was worth the rain I stood in to order the food. There's not much to say about the ambiance, since it's a food truck in a very small lot on a loud road. I'll return to order the pambazos and sopes next.
