My Fondy friends know how much I love craft beer and took me to this newly opened beer bar. If…read moreyou're familiar with the Green Bay bar scene, this 2.0 Ale House reminds me of Ned Kelly's. First the beer. 52 beers on tap, plus two coolers filled from top to bottom of canned and bottled beer. Almost a little intimidating with all the amazing beer they had. The draft menu was one page, and the bottled/canned beer menu had to be around 10 pages. I do like they organized the beers by the style so it's easier to find what you like. They had an interesting numbering system as there were three columns, Door, Shelf, and Spot. If the beer I wanted was in door 7, shelf 3, spot 2 then I would tell the bartender I want number 732. Makes it easier for the bartender. One issue is that they purchase small batches of beer, so their menu might not always be updated. My friend ordered three beers and they didn't have them. A plus, the beer was CHEAP! I bought a 16oz Mobcraft tall boy (Milwaukee) for $3.50. I got another beer on tap for $4. I know in GB these beers would easily bet $5 or $6. I talked about my favorite my part, now time for the part I don't take care about as much. The bar is big and spacious. They have a dance floor. Ironically, I was there on a Saturday night so the loud music was bumping and lights were flashing everywhere. That definitely attracts a younger crowd that rather drink rail mixers and domestic beers. They also serve food here and has an area of tables and chairs. Can't comment on that. All I can say is that they're definitely reaching out to different groups of people, and for Fond du Lac they're doing a pretty good job so far.

I'll go back again. Lots of beer selections, $2 bottles of domestic beers everyday; Captain,…read moreBacardi, Malibu are all considered their rails! $2 for a shorty(10oz). Happy to see a very manageable menu; I've seen too many places have too many options, non of which were really great. Hopefully they excel at their selections. We loved their boneless wings; big chunks of white meat chicken! Free order for happy hour when you buy 3 beverages. Fairly new, so I'm sure they are still working out some of the kinks but our experience was really good.

In November 2025 the burger special was the Apple Butter Badger burger, which was a 1/3 pound patty topped with smashed fried cheese curds, sliced apples, apple butter, and wonton strips on a salted pretzel bun. My family and I stopped for dinner so I could give it a try. In addition to the burger I got tater tots. While I don't mind mixing savory and sweet in combos I'm not used to, like having apple on a burger, this particular burger was fine to try once but it's probably not something I'd get again. The apple didn't stand out until the last couple of bites when all I had left was the middle (I eat around the middle first). The wonton strips seemed unnecessary and I would have preferred the pretzel bun without the salt on top. The apple butter was great and stood out in every bite. The tater tots may have been the crunchiest I've ever had and, as someone that has crunch as their favorite food texture, I thoroughly enjoyed them. My wife got the PB&J burger with strawberry jelly and no jalapenos. One kid for the regular Badger burger and the other got just a plain cheeseburger. They also had fries for their side. All of them liked their meals and said they'd get them again. Prices seem super reasonable compared to most other restaurants. The bar area and tables were mostly full, yet our food came out reasonably quick, which was appreciated. Home Burger Bar is a place I'd keep coming back to.
