It was my first being here in years! It's so much better than the last time I came. The place was super clean and the staff super friendly. Paisley took care of us today, and we couldn't have asked for a better bartender!

Pockets is Definitely one of the best pool halls in the Metroplex. The 8' Brunswick Tables are well kept & they all have Simonis felt! There are over 10+ tables here, so no worries if there is pool league, there are still open tables to play on. They even have Shuffleboard!! The Food is Incredible!! The meaty wings have a crunchy, & spicy flavor that's delicious, the fries are fried & seasoned perfectly. The BLT is probably my favorite, and...OH MY GOSH.. that French Dip is to die for!! They also have Happy Hour specials up until 7pm. The head bartenders name is Paisley & she's the sweetest and funnest bartender on the planet! Every-time I go to the bar, she makes sure she takes care of customers without hesitation. The servers are always checking up on you while you play pool, and bring your food and drinks with a smile! They take the time to cut up and share a laugh then move to the next table. 3 waitress there really make the experience fun Sam, Raven & Taylor are Totally Awesome! I just can't say enough nice things about folks that take the time serve promptly & with a smile!! The owner has taken the time to make this establishment fun, safe, and clean. Listen, a well kept pool hall is not something you find often. Most of the time it's nasty & you'd be embarrassed to take a date or a friend there. At pockets you'll get the atmosphere you wanted and more!! I drive over a hour just to come here, because the experience is unlike other locations I've been & I play a lot. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for casual players & even the pool sharks! You'll enjoy your time here! For Real.

While other servers seemed more focused on socializing with regulars than doing their jobs, Taylor stood out immediately. She stayed engaged, checked in at the right times, and made sure everything was handled without needing to be asked twice. That's not luck--that's professionalism. She brings a mix of intelligence and humor that makes the experience better without being forced or over the top. More importantly, she executes. Orders are right, timing is right, and the overall experience feels intentional--not neglected. If you're going to Rowdy Cowboy, don't leave it to chance. Ask for Taylor by name. She's an asset to that place, and based on what I saw, she's setting a standard others there aren't meeting

My Overall Rating - 3 1/2 Stars (5 Stars if you only care about service) Atmosphere - It's pretty electric. There is a large bar in the middle, tons of bar seating, and during my Thursday visit for lunch, it was packed. The vibes are good, and tons of TVs are showing sports. If you have an XY chromosome, this is your place. 1 Star. Service - Rowdy Cowboy is known for having great servers who are very friendly (and nice to look at). All tables were taken, so I sat at the bar. The bartenders were fast, efficient, and very friendly. They got my order wrong, but I don't care. Their friendliness made me not care. 1 Star. Food - Look, if you're here, you're not here for the food. I started with the Steak Frites. The steak was super tender but lacked seasoning. The shoestring fries were awesome and made the perfect pairing to the steak. I ordered the Brisket Sliders but ended up with Wagyu Sliders. I didn't mind because our bartenders were so friendly, but the sliders were just ok. Remember, this place is not known for the food. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Rowdy Cowboy knows exactly what it does well, and believe me it does it well. In fact, out of all the restaurants in this genre, Rowdy Cowboy has the friendliest staff. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.

The bartenders pour well, and it never takes long to get a drink. I like the Friday night Dj - he plays like a mix of music from the last 10-12 years - a good blend. The Saturday night one plays older stuff, and its not really my vibe. You'll be able to tell the difference in the crowd when you visit on a Friday vs a Saturday as well. Friday nights are my favorite night to go though! The only thing I wish is that they had a mini menu for food! I don't think that is a bad thing, it is my favorite cream cheese. It is just different. It comes with chips or waffle fries and salsa. I will say, their salsa is terrible. I do really like their grilled chicken avocado sandwich. It comes with two huge pieces of bacon on it, that I have to cut up and redistribute, but it is a tasty sandwich. I get it without ranch, I don't think it needs it. Their fries are crispy and salty, and hit the spot. They have a nice happy hour and the service has always been good. The restaurant is clean. My only real complaint is, they don't have little tables. Especially in the bar area. If I pop in by myself to get some work done and grab lunch, I either have to take up a giant table or sit at the bar. The patio is small and open to the west, so it can get really hot in the Texas sun.

I do think they do some things really well. They change their menu seasonally, and I have had some really good and interesting salads. They have a decent happy hour and the service is friendly.
