Our usual go-to spot was closed (and of course it had to fall on a Wednesday ), so we hopped on Yelp to find another place that could satisfy the craving. After some browsing, we decided to make the drive to POC in Richfield, and honestly, we're so glad we did. We were a little surprised to see they close at 6 p.m., but thankfully we left earlier than planned and made it just in time. From the moment we walked in, the girl at the counter made us feel welcome -- friendly, patient, and more than willing to help a couple of first-timers navigate the impressive menu. And let me tell you... the menu did not make it easy to choose. There were so many unique pierogi options, it felt impossible to narrow down. We ended up going with the daily special platter, plus three extras so we could sample a few more flavors: sauerkraut & kielbasa, chicken paprikash, and goat cheese & mushroom. Every single one was different, but all were absolutely packed with flavor -- rich, buttery, and perfectly comforting. Those little moon-shaped dough pockets did not disappoint! The noodles and cabbage that came with our platters were also excellent -- simple, but full of that homemade flavor you only get from someone who really knows their way around a Polish kitchen. All in all, POC was a great find. It might not dethrone our favorite pierogi place in Parma, but it's definitely earned a spot on our list for when we're craving authentic, hearty, delicious pierogi closer to home. read more

If you want pierogis to go, you're in luck - there are coolers full of packed pierogis that you can purchase and fry up at home. We also tried the kolaczkis, but were a little disappointed. Did lunch with friends there this afternoon. They have a HUGE selection of pierogies you can eat there or get to go, plus sausages, cabbage and noodles, and chicken paprikash. Dough was tough filling in 1st flavor sweet cheese was less than 1 teaspoon; 2nd flavor was prune, dough hard as a rock more filling terrible no taste. Have been cooking European pierogis over 40 years & these were the absolute worse tasting attempt of pierogis. I went because of the advertising sounded excellent was a total waste of time & money. I've never been so overwhelmed by choices! This is a pierogi cafe that does eat-in and takeout. You can do a basic platter with the same kind of pierogis and sides, or you can get an ala cart plate. Anyone can eat here. Tremendous options are available. I chose the ala cart option: potato and cheddar, garlic and herb, spinach mushroom, and crab Rangoon. OMG that crab Rangoon! It turns out 4 was not enough for me, so I stole two from my husband's platter. My husband had platter A with potato and cheddar, cabbage and noodles (a large portion), and sauerkraut (sweet tasting). He was full and shared 2 pierogis with me. Stopped by on a recent trip to Cleveland. I bought potato caramelized onion pierogis and a nut roll. I made both when I got home. We tried some of their specials like crab Rangoon and lobster and they were delicious. We bought apple to make at home and were not disappointed. From traditional to Polish meal favorites like chicken paprikash, to desert and some strange combinations. 3 pierogi are $8.00 an 6 for $12. I got 6 potato cheddar and bacon with caramelized onions and sour cream, my wife chosec3 potato and cheddar, and my son got a kielbasa and sauerkrraut sandwich. Located in a plaza off of 303. The new set up now includes a small dining area. This is not a fast lunch stop but well worth the wait. I love their cabbage rolls; the sauce is perfect and the meat is tender. Unfortunately this latest trip the cabbage was very tough and inedible. The cabbage and noodles is underwhelming and lacks flavor. They sell frozen pierogies in well laid out freezer cases. Tons of variety. They are a bit pricey but I feel correctly priced for the quality. And as the signage says: do not boil. Pan fry them. read more

I got the #3 which is 2 potato and cheddar perogies, cabbage roll, and haluski. I asked if they had diet coke and they said yes. I didnt noice the fountain at the time but as soon as i got my drink i knew it was some generic cola and sure enough the fountain did not have diet coke on it. Id rather be told no then to get generic pop. There is a difference. The perogies were ok, I really liked the cabbage roll, but not so fond of the haluski. I prefer noodles and cabbage not bow ties. I liked it enough to go back and try other things i saw on the menu. I thoght overall it was a good value for the money and worth another trip. read more

Nice little store-front shop, very near the geographical center of Richfield, with a vast armada of pierogi filled with all manner of meat, veggie, even candy. Some are hot, ready to eat. Most, frozen, ready to take home and whip up in the privacy of your own home. (Where it is easier to make a messy fool of yourself scarfing down these delicious little food-pockets. My daughter was in from California and grabbed four different kinds, slapped those babies on the stove and they quickly vanished into our awaiting mouths.) They ship, too. What a great idea. Solid Pierogi, in Richfield. The cabbage rolls are also very good. If you're in the mood for the cabbage rolls, get them frozen, preheat the oven to 375 and let them bake for at least 50 minutes. They'll come out VERY hot, but let them sit for 5 minutes and you'll be happy with the results. Keep covered with foil when in the oven and when they come out of the oven. Get your favorite rye bread to mop up the extra tomato sauce. read more
