Beautiful place, makes you think you have to dress up. Business casual was the majority's attire. Food was delicious! A little pricey, but worth the wait for dishes you normally don't get in Ohio, or from this country. They seemed a little short handed, but could have been leaving us alone because we were dressed up for our anniversary. We did see a decent amount of staff, but the place was packed and hopping. Definitely upscale! We wandered to the bar downstairs when we first got there since we're early for our reservation. And it was delightfully cat themed! There is some cat decor in the dining area upstairs, but more discreet.
Dinner in the Speakeasy at Olesia's Taverne in Richfield specializing in Ukrainian-American cuisine! We grabbed seats at the bar and enjoyed the live music. The bartender was attentive and poured strong and delicious drinks. I would definitely skip the Deviled Eggs next time, tasted slimy and made way ahead of time. The salmon and steak were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Plenty of parking available in the parking lot. We had dinner at Olesia's for an anniversary and would highly recommend. Very well decorated and nice ambiance with a beautiful bar area. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was awesome. We split a bowl of lobster bisque, enjoyed crab stuffed salmon and scallops for dinner (I guess we were in a seafood mood!) and then split the carrot cake for dessert. Everything was delicious and fresh, including the bread and garlic butter, and the servings were generous.
Stopped into Olesia's for a quick bite and hopefully some shareable options. This was my first time in and the vibes and ambiance of the place are fantastic. Super nice interior with a great patio that is well shaded. Our waiter was kind and knowledgeable of the menu. The menu is pretty large and do offer a variety of foods that deviate from their Eastern European cuisine if that is not what you are into. We got Olesia's platter to share which came with sausage, stuffed cabbage and pierogis. I'd say the pierogis were the best. The stuffed cabbage was a bit too rice heavy for my liking and I did not love it. We also ordered the deviled eggs which we all were not the biggest fans of as we found them a bit bland and very watery making them tough to eat. The final thing was the beet salad, it's very arugula heavy and I was wishing it was a bit larger with additional toppings rather than it mostly being arugula. This place is a bit on the pricier side and portions are not huge so just know that in case you are planning to potentially share something. Overall, Olesia's is a very cute place and offers a large menu and is definitely a place to give a go. their sausage was great and pierogis as well as the Saurkraut so those would be my recommendations! It also is a great place to sit and chat indoor or outdoor with some drinks and quick bites or full entrees.
The platter was phenomenal so said the patron, Ron. Scallops were outstanding per Sandy. Ray loved the Lamb but the order could be an 8 pack instead of 6.
If I could give Olesia's 10 stars, I would. Every single bite of food was outstanding; starting with the deviled egg appetizer to the entrees and dessert, just so delicious. They have a full drink menu as well. The architecture of this restaurant is gorgeous and unique, including the wonderfully decorated large patio, makes a great place for a romantic dinner. Service was fantastic, our server Justin S, was very pleasant and polite. They have plenty of vegetarian options as well which was surprising but welcome for the vegetarian in our group. Absolutely we will going to be back for sure, loved everything!
Good was all fantastic! One of the best sea bass I've ever ate. Service was all great. You could tell they have good team work. Have several different people getting us waters when needed and taking dishes when finished on top of normal waitress. Ambiance was elevated and very nice.

Even before settling in, a quick stop at the spotless restroom speaks volumes about the care taken throughout the space. I chose to sit at the bar, which offers comfortable seating and a great view of the action. Although the bartender was quite busy, she eventually greeted me warmly and offered a variety of menus. While I had browsed the restaurant's website beforehand, I did notice a few subtle differences between the online menus and what was available in person... something to keep in mind if you're planning ahead. The food and drink selections are extensive, with plenty to explore. I settled on a glass of the Inscription Pinot Noir from Oregon's Willamette Valley. It was smooth, bright, and layered with red fruit and subtle spice. It turned out to be a perfect match for the 6oz center-cut filet, which was cooked beautifully and served with silky mashed potatoes, crisp asparagus, and a tangle of crispy onions. While I could have done without the onions, everything else on the plate was spot on. I also tried a side of grilled asparagus, lightly drizzled with balsamic... simple, fresh, and just the right touch of acidity to enhance the vegetables' natural flavor. Although I passed on dessert (with Country Maid ice cream just down the road calling my name), I left thoroughly impressed and eager to return. Every dish that passed by looked thoughtfully prepared and genuinely delicious. This is clearly a place worth coming back to.

We had shrimp cocktail, flight of soups, the SSS entree and pork schnitzel. All were very good. Only complaint is that we wish we didn't have to ask for more bread from our server when the server at the tables next to us asked them many times. Also, just because we had leftovers, doesn't mean we are not interested in dessert. Our server could have asked but lacked in that area. That's our biggest complaint, but it won't stop us from returning for more delicious meals.

Consistency is an under appreciated attribute of a restaurant. We've been visiting Olesia's for a long time...pre pandemic, previous building, and throughout, the quality of the food remains excellent. For that reason alone, everyone should consider a visit. I can't get past the Pork Schnitzel and my wife loves the Salmon and the Pirogies and the sausage. They make the Crème Brûlée in house, so it is perfect. I suspect if one of the menu items we haven't tried (very few) is ordered, it would be experienced likewise. Good, just like six years ago. Want to be assured of a great meal? First timers who will be back for another date night. Beautiful patio with live music on a summer night. Several servers checked on us throughout the night. Recommendations were on point. With a vast menu, we ended up loving the complimentary bread/butter, trying the crab cakes and soup flight (chicken paprikash was our fav), then ordering an entree, a salad and a side. Even ordered a second mocktail since the first was so good (a first for me)! read more

Such a wonderful place to dine in at. We always seem to forget about it and then there's a big time gap in between our visits there. Our latest meal did not disappoint. This tavern honestly blew my expectations. The food was delicious, fairly priced, and the ambiance was perfect. I got the chicken wings, pirogies, and mashed potatoes. All came out very fast and obviously homemade. The service was also excellent and quick. Will definitely be coming back!! read more

We made reservations on a Friday night for dinner and to see Ronnie Clinton in the speakeasy. Easy parking, speakeasy is downstairs. We ordered the chorizo meatballs for an appetizer and they were amazing- so good we both said we would order them for dinner next time, nothing like it around. We had quick service, bartender checked on us a couple of times, our waitress was very attentive, water glasses always filled, the complimentary bread and garlic butter was delish as well. We have had the pork schnitzel and short ribs before and like the mashed potatoes they comes with. They were both excellent meals. Looking forward to come back! read more
We got hungry after a trip up to Cayuhoga national park and several hikes along their trails. It was a wet, rainy day and we were looking for a nice warm meal. Olesia's was definitely on the nicer side of restaurants, but they still served us and were kind regardless of our wet clothing and worn appearances. I got the meatball sliders and upgraded my fries to the rosemary garlic fries, which I'd highly recommend! The meatball sliders were great and I liked the bell pepper based sauce, nice, subtle change from the tomato sauces I'm so used to. I was also able to try the beef stroganoff and the lobster mac and cheese and both were also very delicious. Much more rich than what I had ordered but again, super comforting and warm after a couple cold hikes. read more

I've eaten here a number of times in past it was fine, but recently got take out twice and it was horrid. Food tastes like chemicals. I wouldn't have gotten it a second time but my husband got it... the menu never changes and it's such heavy food, not something I desire to eat often even if good. The hot soup served in flimsy thin plastic container screams cancer, not so appetizing, nobody ate it, the hummus was a spit sized serving in a ketchup cup (lmao) the pitas burnt and hard and dry, the kids tenders and fries were way too salty for consumption, and the wedge just tasted like a Sysco wedge I can get anywhere all this way over priced. Mashed potatoes taste like chemical flare and I lost my appetite didn't want the schnitzel at this point. The ambiance of the deviled eggs was prob the best thing we got. I'll let everyone else line up to eat here bc it's not my jam. read more
Stopped in for dinner on the way east for the weekend. Super friendly staff with a great menu selection. I ordered the beef stroganoff and the fiancé ordered the chicken skewers. Both were tasty but needed some salt or other seasonings. Only annoying thing is that we saw some tables received bread and we were never offered. Would definetly come back again. read more

We had an amazing experience from start to finish planning a baby shower at Olesia's Taverne of Richfield. Alina assembled a stunning balloon arch for us which made a huge statement at our event. She also baked and decorated cake pops and other desserts that went with our chosen theme. The food was delicious as always and was served with enthusiasm and good cheer. Staff was extremely helpful with event set-up and clean up afterwards. We had a group of 25 people in the VIP room, and it was a perfect fit. If you'd like to plan an event with minimal stress and assistance with attention to detail, I highly recommend you go with Olesia's Taverne!! read more
I came to Olesia's during a vacation and overall, it was a good experience. I really liked the atmosphere of the restaraunt. I sat outside with my family and I really liked the big tents over our head to not deal with the sun in my eyes. The food is delicious and is a true, authentic Ukrainian kitchen. I recommend trying the pierogi, they are very good. The portions served here are large, which is what I and most people want to see in a restaraunt. However, the borsht and crab cakes we ordered for an appetizer weren't very warm and I didn't like that. My beef stroganoff for the entree wasn't hot either. Other than that, it was a very good restaraunt. read more
@olesiastaverne last week. I had a great meal at the Tavern in Richfield. Some Stuffed Banana Peppers tomato sauce, parmesan , Chicken Wings baked then fried, Buffalo Fried Cauliflower Florets peppercorn ranch drizzle, Honey-Sriracha Chilean Seabass with risotto and broccolini. Some crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was really good. They've got a great patio and service was fantastic. read more

My husband and I love it here! The restaurant really outdid themselves for Valentine's Day. Upon entering, the hostess gave me a gorgeous red rose. While seated at the bar having a drink, staff including the owner herself made lovely conversation with us. The ambiance normally is gorgeous and was especially lovely with the added Valentine's Day decor. Per usual, we loved the chicken paprikash and pierogis with short rib. We did however have varying opinions on the meat pies. My husband loved them and I would be fine to not order them again. We also poked our heads into the speakeasy which looked cool. That's on our list to try the next time we visit! read more
We hosted of our company events and Olesia's did a great job! We had a handful of appetizers but the Porky Fries really stood out especially with the aioli dipping sauce. For my meal I ordered the Pork Schnitzel, I can saw it was one of the best pork schnitzel meals I've had. The mushroom sauce was delicious! Highly recommend coming and checking this place out. read more
