The dr Evan Yoo was friendly albeit a bit quick but thats not unusual with podiatry specialties who are in high demand. He did give me adequate time to relay my concerns and listened to my follow up questions. He seems caring and suggested two options for me. The 2nd requires inserts which may not be covered by insurance but his administrative assistant/receptionist or associate was kind enough to try to help me figure this out. Im hoping they can get them put through as the feet are very painful and don't want to resort to cortisone shots and if needed prefer to try getting the nerves unpinched first. read more

I find your Columbia Branch Manager "less than diligent, disqualified ie Stupid" I have been coming to the Columbia branch for several Years and find most other front desk staffers diligent in performing their tasks Why once the profile is completed with complete Insurance coverage information providing primary & secondary insurance info the patient has to repeat the same info but calling some offsite entity, why the front desk that is so abiding to your company rules to expedite balances fails to follow up with the billing entity and insists upon patients to call here & there, this is rather stupid and cannot be evaluated in any other better terms. I hereby disclaim any amounts being claimed due to your company's staffers in looking up and relaying information already contained in submitted profile and patient expected to relay the to their offsite entities when this action described as *STUPID* a Chinese non concerning individual is brought forward to threaten patients the staffers turnaround as observed over many years is enormous while people experienced in past have always acted with due diligence as compared to current staffers specially since departure of highly qualified practitioners. Great experience w/ Dr. Yoo. Informative, friendly, didn't rush me, answered all my questions. First time I've been to a podiatrist. He provided me the best course of action and I'll move forward w/ him. He gives off a very nice vibe. Office staff was nice enough. They greeted me right away. This review is only based on appointment scheduling. I tried scheduling an appointment after finding out about the practice via my insurance provider. I called and while providing my info - because doc offices need ALL of your info before even letting you know if a doctor is available - the call dropped. I then scheduled an appt on Zocdoc. The scheduler called back and stated their internet and phone lines went down. I informed her I already scheduled an appointment on Zocdoc and she stated Zocdoc appointments aren't real time slots and she could see in her system that there weren't any appts available for the rest of the week contrary to what they have listed on Zocdoc. She transferred me to another scheduler who kept stating she couldn't hear me....guess the phone lines were still acting up? After the 5th "I can't hear you" (even though she's responding to what I'm saying) I just told her never mind. A few mins later, they canceled my Zocdoc appointment which was fine because I already determined this isn't a practice I want to patronize. It shouldn't be this hard to make an appointment. Well after limping around on a bad toe ( ingrown nail ) for a month and not having a great experience with my last local podiatrist office a friend recommended the Gambrills Md office of Podiatry Associates & Dr Tobi Goldstein. Making appt was easy with surprisingly excellent availability! Walking in office I was greeted and helped by very pleasant & professional front desk. Within 5 min of sitting in waiting room I was taken to exam room and again helped by a wonderful nurse and prepared for the Doctor. Dr Goldstein came in discussed issues gave options & opinions and very quickly moved to correct my problems. What a fantastic Doctor and asset to this company ! Very personable warm caring & extremely knowledgeable. Trust me this is a 1st class office with an excellent support staff. And top of the line Doctor ! This office is an asset to our local & neighboring communities ! If in need of a podiatrist try here first you will not be disappointed. read more

This place has been great. I had an issue with my toe and Dr. Ritter was very friendly and competent and was able to diagnose the problem quickly even though the issue was somewhat rare. Dr. Ritter addressed my issues with being awake during the surgery and arranged for anesthesia. The toe is now healing nicely. Also, I never had to wait more than a few minutes after checking in before seeing the doctor. read more

Do not remember the docs name now, I just call him Dr Smellshisfingers because he did it on the sly after handling my sock and shoe. I have gone to this practice practically my whole adult life. When I was in my 20s I saw Dr. Donick (wonderful) in Towson until he retired. He referred me to Dr. Charles Boyd (wonderful) in Columbia where I then lived. I had been seeing him for 15-20 years and we had built a relationship. He retired and I saw Dr. Yoo. Zero personality. Very hasty. I saw him again today, for the last time. I only get routine foot care which costs me $60. Dr. Yoo cut my nails, ignored all my callouses, and spent 5 minutes total. The assistant buffed my nails. Time for a new podiatrist after all these years. read more

Very unhappy with my last visit to Dr. Boyd on Dec. 4, 2019. As I waited a month and a half to get in to see him, I did not see him. I saw a Dr. Yoo after Dr. Boyd popped in the room to let me know he had retired Oct. 31st. and that I was in good hands. I had periodically went to Dr. Boyd for a callous on the ball of my foot that over time would be painful and he always did a great job trimming it down. I can't say the same for Dr. Yoo. First he trimmed my toe nails way too far down which made me nervous that it might cause an ingrown toenail. Then he went to work on the callous and after getting home and taking off my sock to find discomfort in my foot, I saw that the callous was still there! After he was done he said one of the girls would come in and buff where he trimmed and closed the door. I sat 15 minutes waiting then decided that was enough time I was leaving. As a passed a girl who was just sitting I told her what had happened and THEN she said "Oh I can do that". As I had waited awhile for Dr. Yoo to come in and Dr. Boyd to pop in I told her I had somewhere to be and left. First off when I made the appointment they should have told me Dr. Boyd was retiring so that I could have the choice of seeing someone else there or another place. I have always got a notice from a Dr. who was retiring. I called the office the following day to tell them how displeased I was and would Dr. Boyd call me. I haven't heard from him....This is no way to leave a practice. AND they made me pay up front before I was even seen! Not only did they squeeze me in on short notice (my primary care doctor could not help me and told me I needed a podiatrist ASAP) he was on time and very thorough and had excellent communication skills. I had an appointment to see Dr. Boyd and had to wait 50 mins in waiting room and then 20 mins in the doctor's room before being seen. Let's not forget an extra 5-10 mins as I, a respectful patient, made sure to get to the the appointment on time. I don't care how great the doctor is, patients should not have to wait over 1 hr. for an appointment as another reviewer already stated, there are plenty of other great podiatrists out there. Nurses/staff were respectful and Dr. Boyd is great- They just need to work on their over-booking/scheduling issues. read more

This guys just ripping you off. Receptionist are rude. They dont respect you to listen. They quote me on the phone $60 dollars. When come there they said it will be $150 then if doctor do something more that will be additional charge for it. They werent happy someone told me $60 dollara but they said whatever ok pay $60. I went inside with Doctor Heather who very nice and kind person. Did look at my foot and applied some kind special acid and she said i will see you in 2 weeks. She didnt even remove my wart, they said on the phone if they applied removal procedures it will be additional $150 for that. I said that is understandable. Before i left clinic i asked them is there any extra charge or something they said additional $90 dollar because my first visit their location. I mentioned them they said $60. From that point they said ok you good to go. This morning i got bill $308. I called reception they said i was argue with them that night that didn't tell me how much bill it will be. That just nightmare. I am hoping they will resolve my issues. They said manager will call me then. I will update my review. read more

My husband was recently seen at this location and was misdiagnosed and sent away with pills that didn't help. After three days I called to say my husband's condition had worsened; he now had the infection going up his leg! After receiving no call back from a Doctor I called our primary care Doc. who saw my husband right away, diagnosed him on the spot, gave him new antibiotics and told me to take him to the ER if the infection moved any further up his leg. Fortunately my husband's condition improved with the new meds from our primary care Doc. It took 3 days for a Podiatrist to return my call about my husband's worsening condition. Podiatry Associates of Columbia boast a new office space and that's all they can be proud of. Avoid if you don't want to end up in the ER! read more

Terrible place, "a step above" as they claim to be, this is far from reality. If you want to feel like just another number, choose this place, if you want a quality doctor visit go elsewhere! Doctor Ritter will fake his concern for you, and not even well. Instead of performing diagnostic tests he guesses and prescribes. They sent me several times to pick up a prescription that they claimed to have sent to the pharmacy and I drove their three times for nothing. They performed an X-ray and the lady did not have me remove my ankle jewelry, then they made me pay for the visit to get an x-ray + the X-ray cd and they didn't even sit me down with the doctor to discuss the X-ray results! It gets worst, then I pop the CD in on my computer and it doesn't work. I feel frustrated with them and politely voiced all my concerns regarding the practice run around, lack of care and request a refund for the CD as well as some sort of resolution considering they didn't even have a doctor sit with me to go over my X-ray or perform any diagnostic tests, yet they charged me. Although the receptionists were very kind and caring they did not have the authorization to make any decisions to help remedy the issues. So, I wrote a letter to a Miss Karrie Myers (the owner of the practice) to detail everything that went on thinking maybe she would be understanding and could offer a resolution. Either assigning me another doctor to sit down and discuss the results or if not, a partial refund for 1/2 serviced visit...what do I get after several weeks of jumping through hoops with them, a letter from Karrie Myers basically giving me the boot and not addressing any of my concerns regarding the doctor, she gave me the CD fee back. I have never had a worst experience at any doctor I have ever visited in my life, I must say they do put on a good front though. Do not waste your time, money and energy on this practice! read more

I've seen Dr. Capello a handful of times, between waiting and the appointment it's usually taken about an hour and a half. Today I had an appointment with Dr. Boyd. I arrived at 10:25 for my 10:40 appointment. At 11:30 (still in the waiting room) I asked when I would be seen, and I was assured "5 minutes." A few minutes later, I was taken into a patient room and met with a nurse (by the time she left it was about 12:00). By 12:30 still no Dr. Boyd - I left and had my copay refunded. The so called Dr. Droulette, should not even be considered a medical professional due his treatment towards my wife and kids during an appointment. Yes, due to traffic issues they were at least 10 minutes late, but no one deserves to be disrespected and bullied by a "medical" professional. He was extremely rude in the examination room with my kids present. It made my wife feel very uncomfortable and threatened by his erratic behavior. This was not a new patient visit, which is why it shocked my family. No one should have to experience this, especially when paying for medical services. My kids were not even seen by another doctor to ensure their treatment is effective. DO NOT go to this practice. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Board of Physicians to ensure that this does not happen to other patients. read more

I've had a great experience with Dr. Boyd and Dr. Ritter The wait is long but the service is amazing. I see a lot of doctors with my health conditions and from my experiences I don't know of many offices where they are on time promptly. I waited 2 hrs for my primary care before and I think it was worth the wait. Dr. Boyd is very thorough and a well mannered gentleman. Dr. Ritter is a bit faster but addresses all my concerns. I think this office has smart doctors and I am willing to use my time being treated with care. read more
