My appointment started on time, and since I had completed paperwork online before the visit, there was no unnecessary delay. The assistants who checked on vitals and do a pre-doctor screening were all helpful, efficient, and kept me updated on the status of the doctor's timing to the room. There was minimal wait between who saw me. Dr. Gormley was gregarious, punctual, and thorough, making reasonable recommendations, although he dresses very sloppily---oversized pants, unkempt facial hair, one panel of a buttoned-down shirt hanging off the belt. Dr Elgamil saw me exactly on time, made me know that I was safe in his hands, and immediately took one look at my infected toe and told me what the problem was ( caused by another podiatrist who botched the procedure to remove the ingrown toenail), and what he would do to fix it. He numbed the toe in a way that I felt no needle go in, explained what needed to be done, answered all questions, and then, after the area was numb, came back and carefully did the procedure. I watched as he removed all sorts of garbage, diseased tissue caused by the other doctor, and then bandaged it up. When do I return for the follow up? You don't need to return. What I did today will get rid of all pain. There will be no more reinfection. If you have either of these two problems, call and we will immediately get you in. But I doubt that you will need to return for this issue. I then asked about other foot problems, pain and other things, no one else has ever solved. Immediately, he explained what needed to be done and how they could be best treated. All the solutions were things I could do on my own. He is not trying to push business or do unnecessary cutting. He gave me techniques to use at home that straightened out my walking on my left foot and relieved a lot of knee pain The second session that I had with him was to help me align my back. Standing or walking for more than 15-30 seconds was incredibly painful and I couldn't stand up straight. Had seen 3 physical therapists and 3 chiropractors over those 2.5 years and none knew what to make of my issue after several months of treatment.
