It's hard to describe Marino's as a dining out experience. It is counter service right as you walk in, however there is a quaint sit-down area to the right and it's a decent vibe for not being a fine dining experience. The good news is they have the best vegetarian lasagna for miles around--and I always try it when I find it on any restaurant's menu! I called a little after 6 p.m. wondering if they were still open and Andy picked up the phone and said yeah we closed at 6 p.m. but we can make pizzas for you. I ordered two pizzas and upon arrival I was instantly greeted by a friendly cashier, paid and waited maybe five minutes before they were ready. The pizza was delicious and we loved the crust. The $11.97 including tax special is now a single slice of pizza with AYCE salad bar & soda. Slices are kept behind the counter. You get ONE SLICE handed to you. You don't get to go back & ask for another from a different kind of pizza. It's one slice PERIOD. The soda machine is behind the counter, they will pour you whatever you want and refills are free- included in the lunch special price. The salad bar has some good quality items. Including a pasta with pesto sauce. You can go back for more salad bar. I appreciate this restaurant. Friendly staff & some quality food. However for a lunch special $11.97 is a little much for a single piece of pizza that may have been sitting out for a while & is not that great. read more

Decided to give this place a try. It's in a strip mall and has counter service, so we did not expect a "fine dining" experience. Not having been in before, we had a few questions about some menu items and choices available. I was a bit embarrassed for taking their time, but we were treated politely and friendly, bending over backward (so to speak!) to be sure our questions were well answered. I tried their vegetarian lasagna--something I love, but more often than not I am not really delighted with it in a restaurant. This one was really great--nice balance of noodles and properly cooked veggies, and a wonderful sauce. To make it even better, the serving size was very ample. Hmmmmmmm, late night (8pm stop) here before my hotel. BECAUSE I saw the pics of the salad bar on yelp. Well no salad bar. They said it's been closed over a year. What the frick. The gal said they needed more room. but amazing selection of food ready to go in coolers and freezer. So I asked for a lasagna (meat) and a three bean salad. Two items was $20. Called to order, in advance, and was told "actually you have to call the day before". I recently ate at Marino's Pizza this past weekend (a Sunday) and my experience was absolutely awful. First of all, I haven't been to this place in a long time, and from what I remember they used to have really good pizza. Now, however, they have gone completely downhill. My friend and I decided to eat there since pizza sounded good. We walked in, and we were the only ones there. There was a person behind the counter - a woman with short blonde hair with her back against us - and even though we were talking, she did not greet us nor acknowledge our presence until a few minutes later when another employee greeted us, which I think was one of the managers. There is NO price listings anywhere; if you want to find out how much a dish or pizza is, you have to have an employee. However, the employees don't know, either, it seems. I had multiple questions and each time it took 20-30 seconds for an employee to find out how much an item costs - ridiculous! If you work there, you should KNOW how much your items cost. If they would get a price gun and mark the items, especially in the to-go area, they would save a lot of hassle for their customers and themselves; each time my friend asked how much an item was, the lady seemed in distress and would have to look it up on the computer. My friend got a salad, a slice of pizza, and a fountain drink. I got a fountain drink and a slice of pepperoni pizza. Their pizza slices, by portion, are underwhelming for $3.50 + tax. They are only a little bit bigger than a normal slice. I was kind of bummed, expecting a bigger-than-your-average slice, or maybe something like a city slice of pizza, but no. Their prices, in general, are flat-out ridiculously overpriced and the quality doesn't match. My pepperoni pizza was incredibly dry and gross; they sit in an oven-like cage for who knows how long. There was no sauce and no flavor; in general, it was the worst tasting pizza I have ever eaten, and yes, that does include Little Caesar's, which tastes better in comparison. That's how bad it was. My friend's salad was wilted and had some visible breakdown going on after he opened it. I've worked in produce before, and lettuce doesn't breakdown overnight; it takes three to four days for lettuce to show visible breakdown meaning that the salads were not fresh and were, in fact, old. If you have old salads, why not cut them half in price? Also, the pizza my friend got (vegetarian) literally folded in half when he picked it resulting in the cheese, sauce, veggies and overall toppings to fall off the pizza into one, big clump on his plate. The bare pizza crust barely had any sauce on it. If you pick up a slice of good pizza, it does not come off in one big clump like this did. There was a lack of sauce on both our pizzas, which seems stingy and bad pizza making. We both spent $24 between us anywhere else in town you could get a medium pizza for the price with better quality. I will NEVER eat at this place again nor recommend it. The lack of listed prices, unfriendly staff, overpriced items, and the poor quality has been awful. Also, 10 minutes after we left, my friend and I started to get incredibly bad stomach pain as our food did not settle well. : / Plus, while we were sitting down, we noticed how filthy this place is; if you look at the wall decor, it's covered in dust. Not only that, but when I went to retrieve the salt and pepper shakers, there was a dead, crunched mosquito hawk underneath. Do these people not clean their tables (or anything else, for that matter) while they're slow? I always judge a restaurant by its cleanliness, and if it's dirty in the dining area, then what does the kitchen look like? read more

Pizza was undercooked. Mushrooms on it were raw. Pasta was not edible because it was so undercooked. When I requested a partial refund via email shortly after delivery, received this email response. Will never order from them again and contesting the charge fully with my credit card company. Always a problem with this restaurant. Dog enjoyed it. But, she'll eat anything. Unless Michelle tasted my food, pretty sure she can't make claims there was nothing wrong with it. It is impressive the business has been in existence 29 years in a town with virtually no other competition or delivery options available. Lindsay, I personally remember your order and processed it myself. There was nothing wrong with any of it. The pizza was not undercooked and there was nothing wrong with the fettuccini. If you like "a darker crust cooked pizza" you should ask for that. One of our most popular dishes is chicken fettuccini and we sold many of the same today with no complaints. In the future if your not happy with a restaurants food, you should call directly so the matter can be corrected immediately if there is an issue. Not blast bad comments on social media or demand a refund because you said you had to throw it away. I'm sorry if your not happy with our style of food.
