Funny thing was they were selling Micky's Malt Liquor at a price as though it were an import. I guess it is the green bottle. They at least carry malt liquor. Maybe when the area builds up they will get a better wine selection.

There's 50 stars on the flag of America , Springhurst should have no less than that. A young lady, maybe in her 20s....think all the employees were calling her "Niner", she was the biggest help. Was torn between a bottle of Nudu, Nulu, something like that or some New Riff Backsetter and she quickly helped me decide the New Riff would best suit my pallet. I had this same problem and was shunned/rushed because I was asking for help at Total Wine. As far as I'm concerned they are Liquor Barn from Wish.com Keep calm and bourbon on!

Then the same man rang me out when I went to check out and he was rude. Asked for my ID, then when I gave it to him, he looked me up and down with the most disgusted face, then scanned my id and quite literally threw my drinks into the bag. It's good to know that even 6 years ago I liked Old Town…read more But now....I LOVE Old Town! 5 stars!! I think the biggest difference now is that I drink beer. Back when I wrote my first review, in the good, old days of 2012, I lived on the same street as Old Town and it was easy to get to and had wine that I liked in my preferred price range (so...sweet, white and cheap...just like me! Hey-ooo! :-P) Now, I will regularly go out of my way to make a stop at Old Town. And these days it is primarily for their top notch beer selection! I am always prepared for the cold when I visit Old Town now, because I know I am going to be perusing the beer cave for quite some time. They rank among the top four places in Louisville I excitedly go to, in order to explore special, hard to find, interesting, sought after beer. Even if I am not looking for something specific, I am going to find something I already like if not something that piques my interest enough to try! The biggest plus of a visit to Old Town, aside from the friendly and helpful staff, is that you can buy just about all the beer options as SINGLES. This is huge. This changed my beer-drinking life. I have been able to try so many more beers because of this. When you aren't roped in to buying a four (or more) pack and the beer is 'fancy' and costs $5 or more per beer....doors suddenly open up! Old Town is in the middle of the Highlands, so parking can be tricky. They have a few dedicated parking spaces as well as a drive-thru (if you know exactly what you want) but beyond that it is going to be street parking. They still carry a great selection of wine and liquor, as well as some snack type things (thing cheese and crackers and chocolates). You should absolutely pay a visit to Old Town Wine and Spirits. Just leave some beer for me!

Countless imports, plenty of micros from around the country, and when New Albanian has a special release, it's guaranteed to be on these shelves. 2. You can mix and make your own six pack. This can be hugely beneficial when you're staring at a fridge with ten kinds of pumpkin ale that look identical. 3. Indiana ain't Kentucky, and consequently, their distributors carry brands that don't find their way across the Ohio, including some Indiana brewers (e.g., Sun King) and some national (New Belgium). 4. They periodically schedule free tastings, usually with representatives from the brewery/winery/distributor present. Wine tastings about once a month. Seasonal beer tastings several times a year.
