We only needed their help in removing some wasp nests from our roof. When we found out that the nests were no longer being used, we quickly decided we didn't need to continue the repeat service so we tried to cancel. It was so difficult to cancel - you could never get through to anyone. They just kept taking your information again and said they would pass the information along. Email was no use either. It should have taken less than 10 minutes to do on 1 attempt but I ended up having to call them over 6 times and emailed 4 separate times. They are BEYOND incompetent in customer service issues. I felt totally trapped and can see how they get customers to stay on because it's too hard to cancel. Do NOT do business with this company. read more

I called Point Pest Control and was promised that someone would call me back that same day. I waited a few days and then checked back and was again told someone would call me back that same day. When I called again I asked if they could at least be realistic with me and just give me a time frame when I could expect a call back, but once again they said someone would call me back the SAME day. Needless to say, no one has called me. If they are so unreliable to begin with, I certainly would not trust or recommend their services. read more

Zach was my technician that came out today. Over the last 3 years, I have used 3 different pest control companies for rodents under the house and some that got it. Most of the companies did 1 of 2 things: (1) put bandaids on the problem which temporarily worked, (2) quoted such an outrageous price for me to have a "rodent proof" house that I have been unable to just get to the bottom of fixing the issue. And, I have a fairly NEW home so I dont see spending thousands of dollars on keeping rodents from coming in!! Zach did a full assessment of the issue in the crawl space and a thorough walk around the perimeter of the home. He set 20 traps in the crawlspace, identified all the areas where they were making entry and all can be addressed within a reasonable price range! Highly recommend these guys. Their rep, Nathan Christiansen, came to our place at least 2x today. In his initial approach, he never identified himself or the company he was with. We said thank you but no. Also told him the neighbor house was vacant and the other neighbor house is one we manage and that he didn't need to go there, services weren't needed. We informed him that we saw him on the other property 2x today as well. We asked him for his card (he said he didn't have any) told him we appreciated his work, but weren't interested for either property. Not 10 minutes later he's walking down to the other house we manage. I approached him and confronted him, asking why he was going there when I just told him His services were NOT NEEDED. He stumbled over his words, trying to tell me that there were 2 houses there (again, we are very familiar with that property). I sternly told him that we just talked about this and I don't appreciate him trespassing on a property that is clearly marked "private property, no trespassing". I'll be calling his supervisor tomorrow to make sure they help him understand that NO MEANS NO! Some say "there's no such thing as bad publicity...". I beg to differ with yelp reviews. read more

My only issue is, it is very difficult to get phone help. When calling, an answering service takes messages. I do not think they have a local office. These guys are about as good as it gets in the industry! Example, I called as having a rodent issue after the fires in Talent we seem to have more rats and mice at the moment! Pointe Pest was nice enough to send Chris Acton out and he was highly professional and helpful on many levels! These guys are booked up for months but Chris Acton was supercool, professional enough to give me pointers to start with (so hopefully we can get this issue under control) which btw is something two other companies I had come out didn't do period! For 3 years I regularly have to request their sales people leave my property, last year I called and requested they flag my house as a do not solicit... they decided this time to send not one but 2 sales people AFTER 8 FREAKING PM on a Friday night.. they woke up our 2 babies and now we are losing hours of time trying to undo the damage because they have terrible business practices. I will call law enforcement the next time they attempt to enter my property because they have been trespassed now. read more

The service and technician covered every area needed. He asked for any bug issues and took care of the complete exterior yard and around all the storage and garage areas. The only reason that I gave four stars is that he left the back gate open and our dog, Faith, got out and ran away. We found her in the next door back pasture. Pointe's technician, Ice, recently conducted our quarterly pest control service. She was prompt and professionally answered all my questions pertaining to the scheduled treatment. Further, she proactively asked about the current pest situation. Based upon my answers, she expanded the treatment zone further into our property (applying product along the zone between concrete patio and lawn) and strategically placed glue boards in our garage interior to deal with spiders that might come in when the garage door is open. How on earth would I be able to talk text or email and get a response? I have tried a ridiculous amount of times and still, even after your response to my review, no call back or text back or even email. I have left my phone number more times than I can count to have a call back regarding this whole experience. I didn't even receive 4 months of service and have not been able to get anyone from Pointe to call me back regarding it. Then, I get a random email saying you guys had been trying to reach us and were cancelling our account. How do you close an account without speaking to someone if it requires a 30 day written notice to do so (as said on your contract)? Also, we are due a refund for the remainder of the year that we were not serviced. Who is taking care of that? read more

During this busy insect time of year, there were red ant infestations that caused damage to the electrical board for the water pump. Not only was that completely treated, but a thorough inspection and treatment for the whole exterior of the residence. Pointe Pest performed a complete crawl space clean-out at our house due to rats. I give them 5 stars for doing that kind of work as part of their service offering on that basis alone. It is REALLY disgusting work in a less than ideal environment. It's no surprise so few companies in the area are willing to do this. Pointe Pest removed everything in the crawlspace - sub-floor insulation, general debris, old vapor barrier, half eaten flex ducts. YUK! And they did it all with the most conscientious and friendly manner. The scope of the work ended up not being quite what I expected, although that is likely because of my own inexperience. I guess I expected a vapor barrier like what you see if you Google vapor barrier - which is probably more an encapsulation rather than simple vapor barrier. See the photo below for what was installed here. I was very concerned about the damaged crawlspace vent screens and I wanted them to be re-screened from inside the crawlspace. One screen in particular is not accessible from outside due to a bump out and they put additional screening from inside the crawlspace. It looks great. Screens where wires went through were handled with copper mesh and caulking since additional re-screening below didn't make sense. They even installed fresh cement to stop rodents from entering the foundation around the water pipes. I would recommend communicating carefully with the company to make sure they understand your concerns. If you do, they will make (and have made) everything perfect. David came back to do a final inspection and I'm confident everything below is in great shape - he even spotted a plumbing leak which will save me from the real mess it would have turned into if he hadn't discovered it. This work is very expensive to have performed but it's not like you can ignore rats. If you're stuck, like I was, I highly recommend Pointe Pest. They stand behind the work performed and will keep these critters from ever returning through periodic inspections and extensive trapping. I think they care more about rat eradication even more than I do, which is saying a lot! read more

Raymond did an excellent job spraying for ants at my home. He first asked if I had seen any ants indoors and then he went outside and was able to locate ant colony outside my kitchen window.
