Absolute worst service! The food is mediocre at best. Couldn't even order a drink. It seemed others were not happy either.

In short Great deals on great drinks, food is really solid,…read moreand the setting is nice and friendly. Only drawback is that the hours are limited. In long Lately we've been seeking out places that are literally quieter--less volume on the music, more space between the tables, and so on. I'd been wanting to check out 5x5, anyway, since it's the only spot around with an exactly perfect rating score. It looked like it'd fit the bill for a low-key place, and off we went. We came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday (4:00 PM). You're in a larger business-traveler hotel here, aimed at Boeing and Boeing-sub folks traveling for work. The building looks kinda generic from outside, but there's plenty of parking, and the lobby has a high-ceilinged atrium vibe for sure. Nice floor tiles, nice carpet, tasteful furniture. Everything's in perfect shape. You don't feel the lounge vibe right away, but there's a gigantic fireplace ahead of you, warming both sides of the room from the middle. Around that, there are lots of sturdy, shiny tables under the lofty ceilings. Off to the side, there's a little lounge area, then another one. Everything in the lounge is bar-height seating, and there are a few flatscreens, probably showing the game. Most folks are in here, sitting around the bar in the middle of the room. We posted up at a table just outside the lounge. Lindsey was behind the bar, and cheerfully answered every single question we had about food and all their cocktails. She's super friendly and makes a great drink for sure. She seems to have a bunch of regulars who aren't staying at the hotel, which is a great sign, no doubt. We checked out the warm pretzel--such a decadent treat. The waffle fries (and especially the aioli that came with them) were awesome. The pizza was a great choice; we added pickled onions to the Speedway. The crust could be a little crisper but we took home what we didn't finish and it's great here, too. Service on food and drinks was really quick. The cocktails here can be really creative, and there are lots of classics with house twists on the recipe. They even have a pisco sour they've tweaked--that's a fair bit of work for a bartender to make mid-shift. We got 5 great drinks and 3 nice plates of food for $96, and I don't think we even ordered anything from the HH menu. This is a very easy place to add to the rotation.

Way too expensive for a hotel lobby bar. If you want locals to come hang out make it affordable.read more

A/C was running high as it was a super humid and hot Saturday. The restaurant is one big open space with large, comfortable booths lining the walls and a selection of tables in the center. This would suit large groups, too. There's a small outdoor patio area with umbrella covered seating. They had World Cup games on and decor to match. THE FOOD: We immediately had warm, thick tortilla chips and house made red salsa on the table. Salsa is on the spicier side, but was absolutely delicious. We had the Cadillac margarita (moderately strong and well mixed), tacos dorado with steak (fried and seasoned perfectly), and corn tacos with birria (melt-in-your-mouth and perfect temp). The bar is its own little mixology section and is very well stocked. SIDE NOTES: We were way too full for dessert, but there were several nice options that all looked and smelled amazing as they passed us. Can't wait to go back when we have emptier stomachs to try more!

We were there during the Seahawks game and one of the waiters noticed us struggling to see the TV as there were plant decorations and she moved them all out the way so we could watch which I thought was super thoughtful. [4/5] Food We got crab rangoons to start - I don't think I would get them again as the outer shell wasn't my thing (maybe the type of wrapper they used?) I got the chicken pho and my husband got the pho dac biet. We both enjoyed our meal - the bean sprouts and greens were fresh. Broth tasted very clean - we didn't find it too salty. We paid $49 before tip. A bit on the higher end price wise for pho. [4/5] Location/Parking Located in a small plaza right next to Grocery Outlet. In a small plaza by Highway 99. Adequate parking.

When they brought out my order, the server proceeded to charge me again (I spoke up and clarified that I had already paid online). I checked the bag and one of the items was missing. Had to walk back to the restaurant and informed the staff. They then put in a rush order for that missing item and I had to sit and wait again. Super annoying. UPDATE: Got the rush order. Got home and opened up everything and saw that another item was missing. Called the restaurant and they conveniently said their machine/system wasn't working so they couldn't refund me for this missing item. They said I would have to drive back to the restaurant to get this missing item that I had paid in full for. No offer of comps or anything. Just empty apologies. I had to ask to speak to the manager to ask that I be compensated with an entree as well when I went to pick up the missing item. Mind you I live 15-20 min away from the restaurant and this phone convo was around 10:15 pm at night (they close at 11 pm on Thursdays). Terrible service.

Don't let the little unassuming restaurant tucked away in a strip mall fool you. The food , service, and ambience is what you'd expect to get from restaurant in a much more upscale area. We started out with drinks, a bright refreshing glass of Riesling for me and an old fashioned for my hubby. For starts, I tried the poblano corn chowder and we also shared the boar and beef meatball small plate. Both were absolutely delicious and were devoured. For entrees I had the wild boar bolognese and my husband had the lemon thyme chicken. The portions, especially the pasta, were generous and the dishes were really well composed. It was an excellent meal with excellent service. I look forward to coming back again.

The restaurant has a cozy feel inside - great for date nights. I ordered the salmon, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the accompanying rice and carrots were delightful. My husband ordered the Thai Chili Prawn Pasta, which was so flavorful and delicious. My husband is a little spice-wary, but was said the heat was perfect. Our server was kind, funny, and very helpful. And even the chef came by a few times to check on us and our food! Overall, a wonderful experience and we already have plans to return.

La Gloria is the exception. Reviews glow, but since you have seen my score, it's clear there is room for improvement. Once seated, we were served a Tostada. This was a single small fried tortilla with beans, cabbage and salsa. Probably cost less than $.25 in material, but sells for around $7. Now whenever, I talked to my God Mother, rest in peace, about a new Mexican restaurant, her first question was always the same, "How were the Frijoles?". These beans were creamy, well-seasoned and flavorful. The best refried beans I've tasted in some time. I still say the appetizer is overpriced, but I also see why they serve you one free for dining in. We started with chips and salsa. I still say, they should be free, but at $4, it's a little tough to complaint, but I will. The chips came on a dinner plate. A dinner plate of chips would be about the same size as a restaurant basket of chips, however, there was a large bowl big enough for soup with the smallest amount of salsa in it. So now, 25% of that surface space is gone. This bowl which most likely holds 16 oz has about 3 ounces of salsa, in it and 1/3 of the plate space is empty, So you have enough chips for one person and barely enough salsa for dipping. The salsa was also tart, no heat, no seasoning, we were very disappointed. Last, if you charge me for chips and salsa, it better be bottomless, but once the chips were gone, they removed the plate and bowl without offering to refill either. There were a couple items that looked good to me, but they both had squash. Sorry, I've never heard of squash in Mexican food, unless it's vegan, but maybe it's popular in the region this family is from. Rather than ask if it could be removed, I decided to go with the Carnes Asada. The food took a while to arrive, but they said everything is made from scratch and fresh, so I anticipated a meal worthy of El Presidente himself! Now, clearly this place was not without its flaws, but this was the best Carne Asada I've ever tasted. I was really skeptical, because it was thick cut and when Carna Asada is thick cut certain things tend to happen, it's not cooked evenly, the meat isn't seasoned well enough, so bites end up being bland. No, this was juicy, well-seasoned and cooked evenly, flawless. It also came with a generous scoop of guacamole, that didn't really impress. It was also served with Fried Cheese, no idea what that is, sounds like something served at the fair on stick. I got several tortillas that were hot and fresh and a small cup of whole beans that could have used some crumbled cheese on top. There was also a large portion of rice, but the flavor was a bit fishy. I don't know if they used a seafood broth, but for me it was inedible. There was also a smoky, spicy salsa served, but again, it was a tablespoon. Stop being so cheap with the salsa! This also would have been a far better salsa to go with chips than what was served. Glad I tasted everything, but not sure I would order it again. I didn't eat half of what was served do to taste which means I overpaid. If we do make it back, it would probably be for happy hour. That way we could sample a couple other items in a smaller portion for less. Would I recommend this place, sure, but not without the above cautions included. I like to clean my plate and feel like I got a deal, neither happened here due to some questionable choices in flavor or seasoning. The people could not have been nicer, but I can't say we left completely satisfied.
