Browsing the menu they have a good selection to choose from. Onto the food review: 1) mini special. Good for the smaller appetite and appreciate the option. For mini plates. Bacon was good and crispy as well. 2) meat eater omelette. Boy was this packed with the means. Enough for a meat sweat! 3) vintage French toast fell flat for us. It has the nice exterior crust but the interior was not eggy. It felt like it was a sliced baguette dipped in corn flakes and fried. It needed to soak for a while in an egg custardy bath for that soft creamy texture. 4) kids cheese burger. The kids enjoyed it and I can't complain! It comes with a drink as well. This restaurant has been on my radar forever and I'm so excited I was finally able to try It! It's situated in a gorgeous brick building in the heart of downtown Everett - the building speaks to the authenticity and name sake of the restaurant. Came in for Sunday brunch with a large party, and I was so grateful that The Vintage Café was able to accommodate us as a walk-in. We were seated in about 15 minutes, which was impressive for a busy weekend morning. The décor is charming, rustic brick walls, a classic wooden bar, and beautiful stained-glass lamps that really highlight the vintage feel. You can tell it's an older building, but it's very well kept. Our servers were friendly and warm, though they did seem a bit overworked, running between multiple tables. Even so, they remained kind and attentive. The menu has plenty of options. I ordered the Vintage French Toast covered in crispy cornflakes with two eggs and ham. My husband had the biscuits and gravy. They both tasted alright, though the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. I've been to the Vintage Cafe a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and both times have been great. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the service has been excellent. Food portions are on the generous side and the selections I've made have been tasty. Prices are also very reasonable and in line with other cafes I've frequented. Street parking is available, however, during busy hours, there is a parking structure across the street for easy parking. We waited 30 minutes for a table for 2 people, went at least 15 minutes without anyone talking to us even though there was no one else waiting when we got in there. The people behind us (party of 4) got their orders and food before us. The bartender was our waiter and he was very nice. I found this restaurant to be quite pleasant. Very old school bar like feel. Service was questionable at first, but once the server got to our table she made up for it with quick service. After we got breakfast she barely checked on us. We arrived before the Sunday morning breakfast rush. We did notice that once people were seated it took a while to get service and one table of two even got up and left...We ordered two mimosas to start, which were nice and strong! For breakfast my boyfriend got the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and hash browns and I got a mini omelet with country potatoes. I loved my mini omelet and it was the right amount to where I wasn't stuffed and had zero leftovers! The country potatoes were yummy and my omelet had a good portion of ham and cheese. I was pleased. Vintage Cafe definitely seems to be a local go to, where the workers either recognize or know the names (and favorite dishes) of regulars. I came in around 1pm, and it was decently filled but there were still several tables and plenty of bar seating available. There's a sign to wait to be seated, however with it being slow the waitress greeted me and said I could choose anywhere. Ordering and getting my food (eggs benedict) took about 15 minutes, which was great. Sitting at the bar can usually be a hit or miss in terms of if the workers are too vigilant about checking in or totally ignore you. With Vintage Cafe, the waitress did a good job with seeing if I needed anything but not overdoing it. I know some reviews mentioned the hospitality was hit or miss, but when I was there I found their friendliness and helpfulness consistent. Every person, whether they were a local or a visitor, was greeted in the same friendly manner, and the same level of service. The eggs benedict was okay, and decent for a quick hunger fix. The steak options seemed to be the local favorite (plenty of country fried steak and steak salad orders), and I'll certainly try if I'm around again. If you go with a regular coffee, refills are free and they'll top you off if they see your mug is getting low. In the mood for some alcohol? They have plenty of options to choose from, even a nice selection of Scotch if you're in the mood. The food was good but I got seated at a table that was barley inside the door and I was freezing the entire time because it was 30 degrees outside and it was busy so people were in and out the entire time, I know my waitress could tell how uncomfortable I was because I mentioned it to her but she didn't seem to care at all. I'm from Seattle, so I'm used to having great breakfast options. Everett has some opportunities there. This is one of the better places, according to the reviews. It was packed, and we had to wait about 10 minutes to seat our party of five. That's not a problem, but what was a problem are no fewer than 3 exhausted employees coming up and asking us how many we had in our party and telling us it would be about 10 minutes. They desperately need a host or some way of keeping track of people. Once we were seated the table was sticky. They did have crayons and a kids menu to color on which I appreciate. The kids portion was large for the price. That's about where anything good about the food ended. My food was seriously lacking flavor and the eggs in my scramble were overcooked and dry. Their jam options were small plastic containers of Smuckers. My Bloody Mary was so bad I thought about sending it back but could use the alcohol to get though the experience. When the server offered Tapatio hot sauce and I said I would like some it never came. Finally, went to pay for the bill and the don't accept American Express. If they were a tiny restaurant out of a city I get it but after everything else I just couldn't wait to get out and not come back. We absolutely LOVED this little gem we stumbled into on our way to Canada!! The interior was so calm and relaxing. LOTS of historic photos and 1 creepy lady on a swing in the corner. The decor was neat. They had beautiful Tiffany lamps or ones resembling them, at each table. I'm not a lamp expert but that's what they reminded me of. Lol. Granted our experience is probably quite different because we were 1 of 4 tables in the entire establishment. But the 2 ladies working the front were fabulous. We decided to try a new place so we came here with some friends. Pros: the food was amazing! The plates were beautiful, the food was seasoned well, and the portions were a good size. The decor is so cool! The brick walls, historic photos, and natural light make a really cool aesthetic! Cons: The service wasn't the greatest. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating, but there were a few errors that were hard to ignore. For one, our bloody Mary's were made and delivered without vodka. She did realize fairly quickly and brought the shots separately for us to mix in. She offered to do it for us but at that point it was easier for us to do it. When she wanted to take our order she started and then told us she would be right back. She had to grab food from the kitchen and then she came back to take our order. Honest mistakes, but frustrating as a consumer. Lastly, since there is no formal waiting area, folks just gather in groups near the front door. It's not necessarily bad, but there is limited space. My husband had a gentleman lingering pretty close to his chair which makes personal space feel slightly invaded and like your privacy disrespected. The food was good so I would probably order out. I may consider dining in again but hopefully some of these things are improved by then. read more

Sherrie and I are hooked on Vintage Cafe, have been there 4 times in 6 months, and have tried their omelettes, prime rib au jus, chef salad, liver'n'onions. Every entree has been perfectly prepared. The ingredients have been fresh, and not from processed ingredients. The old brick historic building and store-front is early 1900's vintage (hence the name), and the interior is rich in woods, tapestries and art. When everything is perfect, what's to say, more?... ...but we do appreciate moderate pricing for higher-class food dishes. The "Vintage" offers beer, wine and a full bar, with limited bar seating, or full restaurant seating. A sign at the front entrance tells the history of this building. See the pics. I wish i took pictures of the food, because it was AMAZING! I got the country fried steak and it was one of the besttt that i have ever had. The breading was super crisp and the country gravy on top had a ton of flavor. The potatoes it came with were seasoned and crispy as well!
