Update: Went to their restaurant. Amazingly clean and the parking is convenient on the street or the side of the building. The avocado smoothie was unbelievable. It's made of real avocados and with the right amount of sweetness. The mango smoothie was made of real mangoes and not from juice or concentrates. The taro tasted creamy and not powdery like you get from most tea/smoothie shops. My son loved the signature poke and dumplings that they make in house. All the rolls were great and really fresh. Great visit and would definitely go back again. I am a big fan of sushi and Japanese food. Someone from work brought a special sushi/roll platter to our company get together last night from the Poke Express from Fair Lawn. I tell you it was one of the best tasting sushi I have ever eaten. The fish and vegetables were very savory and tasty. The sushi rice was at a very good texture and consistency. The rolls were all special rolls so they were the kind you don't usually get from just any place. I believe they have their own original recipes. I'm not big into sweet potatoes but their sweet potato rolls with the sweet egg were heavenly! The crabmeat cream cheese had big pieces of delicious crabmeats. The dragon roll had the right balance of the sweet avocado and the spicy dressing. The tuna mango roll was surprisingly good and the sweetness of the mango blended well with the tuna. I'm going to try their poke bowls which I heard from the reviews are not only healthy but tasted great. I'm just glad I got an introduction to the Poke Express last night. read more

The food here is very good. People are very friendly. The only suggestion I would make is when you order a poke bowl that they put more rice. Every time we get a bowl it tastes great but it looks very cheaply made as it never looks full. Rice is one of the cheapest food items you can buy. If you fill it with rice more people will think they are getting a much better deal. read more

I've been here around 5 times since it opened and my experience has been inconsistent which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I have ordered poke bowls multiple times. Sometimes they are loaded and satisfying and other times I've gotten half a bowl of ingredients. Last time I got a smoothie for the first time and it was amazing so I couldn't wait to order it again. Got it today and it was watered down. Bummer. The poke bowl I got was also rather miserly. The first time I was there, the boss was teaching the kids who worked there and telling them how to portion the ingredients. Sometimes, if they were putting too much they had to put some back. Not sure if this was the best thing to do in front of the customer. The bowl was small in comparison to the bowls I was getting elsewhere but I decided to give them another try cause they were new. The second time, I got a nice bowl so I continued to go. Basically, it depends on who you get. The man (not kid) who made my smoothie last time did an amazing job. If the food wasn't so good, the friendly owner woul be worth returning for! We observe "no-cook" Fridays in our family and we wanted to try something new, my husband and daughter walked by Poke Express and the friend owner, Gina came out with samples and conversation. We ordered from the build -your-own-bowl menu. Gina had great recommendations since this was our first time ordering and followed up to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. Everything was fantastic; the shrimp was cooked perfectly, everything was fresh and crisp! The spicy tuna was delicious, not fishy, and the tuna tartar was so fresh! She even sent a mochi dessert for our little girl. We will definitely be back to try the sushi and boba! read more

I went in last week for the first time. I was greeted warmly by teens who were still in training phases ( which I appreciate, we all start somewhere!) I was very new to the ordering process and the person in charge or owner (I am not sure) was absolutely wonderful, walked me through ordering and allowed me to sample if I was unsure. My husband and I have ordered three times from Poke Express. On all occasions, we ordered Poke Signature Bowls and the Yellowtail Scallion hand rolls. We have tried the Signature Bowl with rice as well as with zucchini noodles, and both were terrific. The sushi and vegetables are fresh and sauce is flavorful. The last time we ordered, we also got various crunches on top, and they really added to the flavor. I loved the seaweed and onion. The yellowtail scallion roll had a perfect ratio of scallion too (these are my favorite rolls, but, depending on the location, some places do not have enough scallion for me).
