Update to my earlier review from 2024. We dined in for the first time on a spring Friday evening at around 6 PM and we were pretty much were the only ones dining inside for a majority of our meal. However, they were plenty busy with takeout orders. Service was quick as the waiter took our order down and our food was out within MINUTES! I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, which was a pretty good ramen considering they weren't a restaurant that specialized in ramen. The ramen was very tasty and like any other I've ordered from legit ramen restaurants. My wife ordered a custom poke bowl, which we've ordered many times before for pickup. The bowl was MASSSIVE and seemingly much bigger than what they typically give for takeout orders, although their takeout poke bowls are very generous too. For our kids, we ordered the House Special Fried Rice, which came with eggs and Chinese sausage. It was a solid fried rice and we were quite surprised it came with Chinese sausage because it's an ingredient we rarely see used for fried rice entrees at restaurants. Overall, our dining experience here was good and we loved that it was nice and quiet. It never got super busy, but a few parties did come in after us. The bread and butter of their business is definitely takeout though. read more

Poke Zone has been a favorite of mine and everyone I've taken there for years now! It's always quick and delicious every time. I have a go-to order now that I could seriously eat everyday and never get tired of. It's a tiny place, so not the most pleasurable dine-in experience, but I usually get take-out anyway. read more

Rivaling Poke works and I think this is really great competition for the area. Sometimes you get poke and while you think you've crafted excellence, the flavors sometimes don't pop. Not the case with poke zone. I created a three protein masterpiece and I was very impressed by the overall flavor and size of the bowl & sashimi! I forgot to add avocado so I added it myself. Officially my new favorite go to poke spot! Takeout is always a great option for dinner or lunch! All the food is extremely fresh and flavorful, not to mention you can completely customize your poke bowl! The staff will always greet you with a smile and it has a nice cozy feel inside the restaurant. During lunch and dinner it can get a little hectic if you order to go, I recommend always ordering ahead. The sushi is phenomenal whether you eat in or takeout! Just Unimpressed. My biggest thumbs down is that the spicy salmon is ground up and mushy like it is usually prepared for sushi, even for poke bowls. I couldnt really tell the quality of the fish, and it made it hard to get multiple flavors per bite since it was either all fish or all rice since it didnt mix well. Yum yum yum!! Absolutely amazing poke bowls. Love how your base doesn't have to be rice. For a lighter lunch, I chose to get mixed greens as my base. My absolute favorite sushi place in NJ. You can build your roll exactly as you want it from the wrap type, rice inside or outside, the toppings, what you want inside, sauce... you name it! You can literally customize it exactly as you like sushi and the fish will be incredibly fresh and delicious. All for $15. You can't beat that. I LOVE the appetizer they call Blossom Salmon: raw salmon rolled into little rolls the size of maki, topped with scallion, masago and avocado. I love the yuzu sauce they serve with it, which I request "on the side." This dish is a winner and I haven't seen it anywhere else. The garden salad is fine. Iceberg lettuce, peeled seeded cucumber, tomato with a tasty sweet and sour carrot dressing. The poke bowl was a nice size. Too big, in fact, for me to finish in one seating. I love the wide selection of toppings. They allowed me to add many more toppings and crunchy toppings than other poke establishments. All ingredients looked and tasted very fresh. read more

They are a bit light with their protein portions and sometimes they run our ot some of their toppings. Im a big had of mango or pineapple toppings, but it's hit or miss with them. I don't have this problem with other nearby poke places. The staff is a bit young and awkward so you have to overlook that. read more

I made my own 3 protein poke bowl with tuna, salmon, and spicy crab, mango, avocado, fried onions, bonito flakes, poke sauce, rice, and seaweed salad. Was surprised when the waitress told us about the extra special roll you get with a purchase over $30. It wasn't a full roll, probably a half roll (appetizer size) we got the volcano roll. The full sized rolls we got were fairy tail and star river. All yummy and fresh. The mango was perfectly sweet, sometimes sushi places serve unripe mango. My only gripe would be the shrimp tempura app only had 2 pieces of shrimp and some fried sweet potato and onion slices for $8 - would expect more shrimp for 8 bucks. They were tasty though. Service was fast and attentive, restaurant clean and bright. It was not very busy on the Monday of Memorial Day at dinnertime. They say they deliver to some areas. My family and I have been obsessed with Poke Zone for years! This spot is great for both dine in and takeout, and has never let me down. This place was good. Not great but good. I ordered the build your own poke bowl and the spicy miso ramen. Poke bowl- i ordered spicy tuna, yellow tail, over sushi rice. I feel like the fish pieces were too small. So small it was like mushy and it made the texture weird. I expected cubes of fish which it how it is traditionally. The ingredients were super fresh though. I chose the poke sauce and the entire bowl was super saturated. To the point where my rice was swimming. Spicy miso ramen- the stock was good. I was not a fan of the noodles as they tasted almost plasticky to me. That pork belly on top was really good. I feel like the stock needed a bit more seasoning to compensate for the lack of on the toppings that came in the ramen. read more

Would've been nicer to have a little more meat, but it's okay! I gave this restaurant 2 stars not because of the food or the service while I was there. But for the 'after' service. After we received the check, they can back with the receipts from our debit card, my husband signed and we left. I realized about an hour after we left that we didn't get our debit card back and must've forgotten it at the restaurant. I called instantly and whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. I told him we were just there and forgot to get our debit card out of the checkbook. The person on the phone rudely replied "yeah, I don't know. Can you just call back later cause we're very busy? I don't have time to look for it." So it seemed like they only provide good service if you're physically there but refuse to help after visiting the restaurant?? Great quality sushi fish that's delicate and well handled. I ordered a rainbow roll, miso, edamame and crab salad for myself and my three year old. My husband ordered a tuna roll and a ramen. Everything was excellent and delicious. Their drinks were great as well. The mango black tea was a nice pairing to my meal and my husband took a boba Thai tea to go. They only lost one star because they were a bit slow (only us and another table) and they didn't serve everything in order like what we said we wanted. My husband wanted to start with the roll but it came out after he finished his ramen. Also, we had to ask for small plates, soy dishes and water for our son, all which should've been no brainer. I've gotten both bubble tea and delivery from here in the past, and it's been consistently good. I love all the different varieties of bubble teas that they have. Though I've never tried the sushi from here, I can definitely attest to the fact that their poke bowls have super high quality fish. Delivery was super fast and accurate, I would definitely recommend this for a healthy take out lunch or dinner. I would usually go for the make your own bowl, with two proteins. They have such a wide variety of toppings so that you can really customize your bowl to all of your preferences. We had dinner from Poke Zone in Ridgewood, NJ, delivered by Doordash last night. It was perhaps one of the worst meals we have ever had. The seafood and fish was so old that it, not only smelled, but had an odor of rot. One of the protein items was fried tofu- it was looking at skin peeling off a dead body. Soggy, no attempt at frying it to a golden brown, and dripping off the tofu. Dont order from here, you are wasting your money. read more
