I am a big fan of this location, especially for a quick and easy lunch! I enjoy the variety of options that Poke Garden has to offer, and it is really fun to make new bowls all the time! I especially love the shrimp tempura and salmon bowls, and they are always sure to give generous portions! The workers are very kind and quick to serve you at the counter. Little pricey but worth it for the poke bowls!

Sometimes I just need a poke bowl. I pop in here from time to time for zucchini noodle poke bowls with salmon. This time I also got a passionfruit overload green tea. There is nothing overly special about this place. If you want consistent poke bowl with good customer service, this is a good spot.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and I suggested we get lunch take out from here because I'm still on my quest to try every poke place in the Boston and Greater Boston areas and we aren't in Brookline very frequently. The woman who helped us was super friendly and sweet! We ordered online and it wouldn't allow us to pick multiple mix-ins and toppings and she let us make changes while we were there (to pick up) since she didn't have the opportunity to make them yet. She gave us large scoops of basically everything and the quality was great. We also got crab rangoons, which were delicious and yummy! Though it's still not #1 favorite poke place in MA, this place definitely is in top 10. It honestly makes the experience better when the customer service is great and the quality and food is made-to-order. I look forward to coming back here again

A decent poke sushi place located in Brookline Village. Nothing special, but a standard meal to fill you up. I ordered a poke bowl with eel & tuna with seaweed salad and Hawaiian shoyu sauce. I wish there was an option for multiple add-ons to your poke bowl, but since there isn't they do give you a lot for your add on. I got a lot of seaweed salad in my bowl. They were definitely really heavy with the sauce on my poke bowl. There didn't look like much in my bowl, but it was filling as there was 3 pieces of eel and a handful of tuna chunks. There was a good amount of poke to rice ratio, so everything mixed well together. I also ordered a tin guan yin bubble tea, which was okay. The boba was vey inconsistent, some were soft and chewy, while others were hard in the middle. It seems like they mixed yesterday's old boba with new boba they made today. The milk tea wasn't too sweet, but did taste a bit powdery. Overall, not the best poke, but also not the worst, so if you're in the area and craving sushi it'll do the job.

Definitely recommend going to Poke Garden! I have been going to their restaurant just recently and all of my visits were delightful. Their customer service is great and the bowls are just delicious! They are a little pricy but it's definitely worth it for such a delicious meal! I will be definitely coming back!

Food is good, although for the price portions could be a bit better. Everything was ruined halfway thru drinking their japanese soda when I checked their expiration date, If thats the case please BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING DRINKS HERE. DISGUSTING

The Poke bowl here is quite good. I got the spicy salmon, which was delicious. All the ingredients were fresh - I would definitely come back here

Great poke spot in Brookline. Super friendly service. I had a build your own poke, with salmon and tuna. Lots of selection and everything was fresh. Quick and easy to get good poke!

This is my third visit to this location: and I will say I will become a regular. Tonight I got the build your own poke bowl. All of the ingredients are very fresh and tasty. There are many toppings and sauces offered that you can put on your bowl. I would recommend getting a bowl with the grilled chicken and wasabi shoyu sauce! It is incredible. This very laid back location is great to grab a quick bite to eat, as well as very clean!

    Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl

I've been waiting to try this place since the "coming soon" sign went up last year. I was devastated to lose Yokohama as my local mom and pop sushi place and was a devoted customer. So I had high standards for anyone new coming into the neighborhood sushi game. Tonight I finally got to try Poke Garden and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. Since it looks like more of a fast casual place rather than having the more "traditional" look of other sushi restaurants, I wasn't sure how good the quality of the food would be. I had the Ahi Tuna poke bowl with sushi rice and Ahi sauce, and it was excellent! The tuna was really fresh and tasty and they gave a very generous portion of fish. I look forward to trying the salmon and all the varieties. I'm excited to try their take on the sushi burrito, and they have something I hadn't heard of called Makirittos which seem to be mini sushi rolls. Also I must say that I am someone who hates DIY in food options -- I never can get the flavor combos right, but I feel totally equipped to build my own bowl next time. It's much less stressful than other places because they offer unlimited add-ins of toppings, so I'm not struggling to figure out what I want to eat and calculate the price of my meal and decide if it's worth it all at the same time. I greatly appreciate this simplified pricing method! Plus, the customer service was excellent. The woman who helped me was very sweet. I will definitely be coming here regularly for all my sushi needs. And extra bonus points for serving their takeout in what appears to be compostable or recycled paper bowls. Gotta love the eco friendly touches!

Happy to come across this place cause I am a poke bowl lover and this place is in a nice location, clean & friendly staff. This place has zucchini noodles as an alternative to sushi/white rice which I like. I've come several times and some times the food selection looks like its been sitting out all day and not so fresh.

First time here and it was great! We did the AYCE all-you-can-eat on a Monday (they only do it…read moreMonday and Tuesdays) - got there around 7:30p and even though it was very full, we got seated quickly with a table for 3. It's $50 for the regular AYCE or $80 for the Premium AYCE. We opted for the former, and it was plenty great. We have done lots of AYCE sushi and I will say this is the BEST of them - I think it's because it's the same grade sushi as they would normally do Ala carte on other nights. The $50 menu had plenty of sashimi and regular nigiri (sushi with rice) options and some Thai too. We had mostly the sashimi Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail, Octopus, a few rolls, some edamame, gyoza, shumai. My favorites were the salmon, as the cuts were large, thick and amazing silky, and the gyoza, as it was perfectly crispy. The Pad Thai was bit way too sweet for my taste - a skip for me next time. The decor is very nice - reminded me of a dive Tokyo bar. Service was quick and very attentive. We will be back!

MAGURO Sushi Thai Ramen is a hybrid Japanese-Thai restaurant in Coolidge Corner that tries to cover…read morea lot of ground, from sushi and ramen to Thai dishes and even all-you-can-eat formats on certain nights. We walked into a space that felt lively and a bit high-energy, especially during peak hours or late-night service, with a setup that worked for both casual dinners and larger group outings. The room was full and bustling, with a steady hum of conversation and the clatter of dishes that gave it a social, almost party-like energy. The menu is broad, but the sushi and ramen tend to get the most attention. We ordered a mix of items and found the sashimi and specialty rolls generally fresh, with standout pieces like fatty tuna and salmon-based options showing up often in reviews and orders. On the ramen side, the spicy miso was one of the more reliable choices, with a richer broth that held up better than some of the lighter bowls. The Thai offerings and mixed menu items added variety, but the quality felt more consistent when we stuck to sushi or ramen rather than bouncing across everything. The all-you-can-eat sushi option is one of the more unique aspects here, and it can be fun and very value-driven if you go in prepared for crowds and potential waiting times, especially on busy nights. It was not a quiet or fast-paced experience, but more of a high-volume, social dining environment that worked well for a group looking to try a bit of everything. Service could vary depending on how busy it got. At peak times, there were occasional delays and a bit of chaos in pacing, especially with drinks and larger tables, but the staff generally kept things moving considering the volume. The atmosphere was more about energy and activity than a calm, refined sushi dinner, and the team handled the steady flow with efficiency, even when the room was full. Overall, MAGURO is a solid option if you want variety in one place, especially sushi, ramen, and late-night Thai under one roof. It works best for group dinners or casual nights out where you are okay with a bit of noise and waiting, and less for a quiet, precise sushi experience.

The hostess was very kind and accommodating. I have high suspicions this place is owned by Chinese people based on some clues, such as Chinese style noodles on the ramen menu and steamed pork buns as an appetizer. We got the beef noodle soup which was excellent (albeit not expected in a Japanese restaurant!). It was actually a little spicy. Came with lots of beef and a flavorful and rich broth. We got two of the special rolls, Kiss of Fire and (I think) Torched Yellowtail, which were both tasty. No complaints there! For our appetizer we got sashimi salad, composed of strips of several kinds of raw fish (salmon, tuna, white tuna, yellowtail) and some surimi and avocado on top of a bed of greens. There was a ponzu like sauce on the side. Although fresh and not bad tasting, I think this was a bit plain. Overall though, the prices and vibes were good and I'd come back!

I happened to be the only one in there, but could tell the staff was working on some online or takeout orders. I was nicely greeted and shown to a seat. After giving me water they took my order. I got the crab wontons, their take on crab rangoons, as well as three different rolls (yes my eyes are bigger than my stomach). I went with the eel avocado roll as well as the spicy tuna and yellowtail rolls. I was REALLY impressed by the quality of all the food. I was given the wontons first and they were perfectly crispy and filled. I dislike when the ratio of filling to wonton is too heavy on the filling side and things get messy. They were also SUPER hot which is a personal must. My only qualm is I would've loved a bit more sauce, there were a lot of wontons for that small dish of sweet chili sauce. In terms of the sushi I surprisingly loved the spicy yellowtail the best. Normally the other 2 are my favorite but I might've found a new go-to. The others were great as well, though. You could seriously tell the tuna was JUST cut from the fish (I watched the sushi chef do so!). Notably, the ratio on the eel-avocado roll was great as well as the amount of eel sauce. No need to pay for extra on the side! I will most definitely be ordering or dining in from here soon, this time bringing friends along!
