In comparison to PokeLand in Redding... $18 for Regular (2 scoops) = 1/2 cup protein $23 for Large (3 scoops) = 3/4 cup protein The customer service is not ok, the guy with the tattoo on his neck hates his job. My 1st visit and I probably won't be back anytime soon. Nothing wrong with the food, it's hard to mess up placing raw ingredients in a bowl. It just feels way over priced; 1/2 cup protein for $18 is a little much especially for the dark & dingy location. I asked which of the sauces were spicy beside spicy mayo, he just shrugged his shoulders and mumbled something. It was very uncomfortable just placing my order, like I was bothering him by ordering. The guy literally just squirt a bunch of sauce all over the top of my finished order. Had to ask him for nori and won ton. He acted like I was putting him out for asking. At least the place in Redding makes an effort and tosses your protein in the sauce. This place literally gives zero shits about service and charges a premium for a meal containing minimal protein. I was recommended by a friend who also loves poke to check this place out. Fresh ingrediencies with decent serving sizes of fish at a great price- Large bowel, 3 proteins with all the standard fixings at $16.00. The (presumed) owner was very nice and asked it was my first time coming here. The interior is spacious and welcoming for people to sit and hangout. I moved to Oregon from the Bay Area just when the poke bowl started to get popular. Very surprised they haven't taken off up here, especially on the coast. Was not disappointed by this establishment. Went mid afternoon & restaurant was clean & empty due to off hour. Lucky for me as I was able to look at everything before choosing what I wanted. I love poke and someone brought this to me as a surprise so I have no idea what sauce or anything but omg I was so confused by these flavors it was super oily and wet just really gross sauces the octopus which is typically my favorite at other places was so gooey and fatty remined me of flem. Ew! But thankfully the person who brought me the meal was nice enough to share theirs with me which was a simple chicken bowl with I think spicy Mayo this bowl was edible and didn't upset me so that's why I've given two stars. This place has fresh, delicious poke bowls. I always build my own and there are so many options but so far my favorite is the shoyu tuna. Prices are more than reasonable and the ingredients are quality. Don't let the location scare you away. The food is worth it. I wish they were open for dinner. We tried this Poke Bar twice and the food has been fresh and tasty. It is sort of a build your own Poke bowl bar. I recommend the Pacific Special. We have a place in Honolulu across from Foodland Ala Moana which is consistently voted best poke in Honolulu and this place is just as tasty. read more
