    Pho served Perfectly
    Steve B.

They have Pho!!!! WTH! Do you know how hard it is to find a place that has authentic Pho in Medford? HARD! There is WAAAAAAY to many Mexican restaurants and most of them are NOT authentic due to the customer base and WAAAAY to many fast food restaurants The Pho here is authentic as it comes, I wish they had a bigger Vietnamese menu and more of a Pho selection. But I will keep going when I have that craving for authentic Pho. The service is very attentive and the restaurant is very clean.

On top of this DELICIOUS food, the service was amazing! We ordered our food and maybe ten minutes later it was served! The staff was very friendly as well as prompt with refills and any other needs we had while dining. It was pretty noisy when I was here, but there was a large party present, so I think that was why.

The only good Chinese place i have eaten in town. The service was friendly and got us what we needed. The ambiance is ok as it's not the loudest but it's also not the quietist. First off the Jasmin tea was actually cooked right. Most places in town burn their tea and it was perfect. The meat actually tastes like meat instead of a type of meat mixed with bread. The food was amazing

    Beef with Hawaiian Style

As we were arriving in town, we knew that we'd need something else to eat for dinner. Having our dog with us, dining indoors was out of the question, so we decided to pick up a couple of items to take to our hotel room. Chen's has a very high yelp rating so we decided to give it a try. We didn't need much after having a late lunch but we didn't want to go out again after we checked in. The menu is somewhat different. The entree section offers proteins and then styles without giving away too much in the way of description. We decided to try the Beef in Hawaiian Style which was described as stir-fry with Bell Peppers, Zucchini, Onion, and Pineapple in their Special Sauce. Entrees are served with white rice. We also got an order of Mar Far Chicken, which so far as we can tell is exclusively an Oregon dish. We've never seen it offered as such anywhere else that we've traveled and that includes 21 states and 20 countries including China. We had ordered before and got different sauces in different restaurants. We placed our order by phone as we were driving to the restaurant. We arrived a couple of minutes early. The restaurant itself presented as an old Pizza Hut with the familiar hat shaped roof. The interior had been significantly remodeled. In chatting with the operator, this location had been another Chinese restaurant before they took over and previous to that, a hamburger joint after being a Pizza Hut. The service that we received was excellent. Anyway, the food. Beef in Hawaiian Style - 2 - way too sweet with sugar. With 1/2 the sugar, it may have been an okay dish. However, the beef was tough. Some Chinese restaurants will over tenderize their beef. Chen's either didn't at all or simply not long enough. Mar Far Chicken - 4 - We've enjoyed this dish before at other restaurants. At its simplest, it boneless, battered, fried chicken with a dipping sauce. We've experienced ketchup, mustard, and mayo in different combinations. Chen's gave a simple sweet and sour sauce. Fortunately, they also included two packets of Hot Chinese Mustard, which when added to the sweet and sour sauce made the Chicken absolutely delicious. Steamed Rice - 1 - some of the worse steamed rice ever. Either of poor quality or leftovers. The grains did not absorb any of the Hawaiian Sauce which may have helped it. Maybe we just came on an off day. I would come back for the Mar Far Chicken and ask for an additional container of Sweet and Sour Sauce and two more Hot Chinese Mustard packets. I might be inclined to try some dishes as well, just to give them a fair chance to show what they can do.

    Wor Won Ton soup

Medford OR Never a disappointment. Chen's is in at least three cities in the state that I've been to. This one, Roseburg, and Salem. Not disappointed today either. The won ton soup was flavorful and had lots of extras in it. Look at the bbq pork pieces. Huge. Fried rice I get with soup. I actually combine it so I drink all the soup with some of the rice. Take extra rice home, just like today. I really like their restaurants and they are a solid 5 every time.

First time here and loved it. I grew up in sf and had the best Asian food in America. This is not the best Chinese food I've ever had it the best in Oregon. I highly recommend it. The staff was very accommodating and I'm sure if I was more specific in what I wanted they would have accommodated my desires.

Hot tea in an iron pot!
    Rachel C.

We came here for dinner because of the reviews (both here on Yelp and on Google) and we were NOT disappointed! The service was friendly and responsive. We had hot tea sitting before us within 5 minutes of sitting down (& we had two pots because some wanted jasmine tea and some wanted black)- in both cases it was served in a cast iron teapot with fragrant loose tea. I had the triple crown (which seems to be the same in sauce as the happy family but with a different combination of proteins). It was piping hot and the veggies were plentiful and perfectly cooked (as opposed to cooked within an inch of its life). A few words about my companion's wonton soup. The bowl was enormous and filled to the brim with veggies and wontons (unlike some places that give you a few limp carrots and three wontons). The portions were gigantic (we easily hit 7 meals out of the 4 meals we ordered) and the prices were very reasonable. They even give a 5% discount if you pay in cash! If I were a local I would be a regular for sure!

In person smaller and dry. (BTW i ate two before taking this picture) Fried Pot Stickers (8)

I frequently order food delivered from this restaurant and never an issue in terms of quality until this time. I ordered fried pot stickers and this is what i got (picture taken by me). They looked nothing like the picture the restaurant posted. What a disappointment!!

The service was excellent. Sally was fabulous. Friendly, welcoming yet professional. The dining room was clean and well decorated. We felt so comfortable. After being told we could sit wherever we want we were immediately served glasses of water. We ordered delicious jasmine tea and it came in an adorable cast iron pot with loose leaves in a strainer. The tea stayed hot throughout our entire meal. (They should sell those amazing pots) the food was excellent. Appealing and flavorful. The servings were huge. We have enough for lunch tomorrow. I love this place.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a Chen's come up on my search, i phone the restaurant and confirmed if this was similar to location in Roseburg. For a Friday night near closing there were two large parties seated and a few other diners. Service was quick, friendly, and provided good recommendations on their menu items. The location has ample space inside to accommodate large families. The parking sort of wraps around the building and is located between one way streets. For starters I enjoyed a cup of hot and sour soup. One of the best i've had so far. The flavor was right and had plenty of hearty ingredients in my cup. Our waitress recommended the spicy beef dish. It was delicious, didn't know it would be cold but it had a spice to it that left my lips numb and I liked it. Underneath the meat was cucumbers that were fresh and crisp to cool the spicy. Ordered general tso chicken and kung pao combo. General tso even after sitting for a while was still crispy, didn't become soggy. Decent portions and they didn't skimp on the shrimp on the kung pao. I will return when in the area.

    Triple Crown

Wow!! Exceeded our expectations. Upon coming in, it is clean, nice decor and ambiance. We heard it was good but it was great. The waitress was friendly, prompt, and helpful. The appetizer-fried wontons seriously were the best I have ever had. Hot and steamy, fresh and delicious. The main course had a trio of protein: Pork, shrimp and Scallops. Each one was cooked perfectly. Such tender scallops. The vegetables were all different thicknesses yet each one cooked perfectly. Honestly, our food was piping hot, we had to wait for them to cool down to dig in. I would highly recommend this place. We came in at 6:15 and service was so fast we are on our way by 7 pm. Definitely a hidden gem

It is nearly impossible to find a good Chinese restaurant in this valley so maybe this is as good as you are going to get. I liked it.

The Moo Shu mixture itself was fine; however, no sauce was provided. I've never had that experience. Always before either plum sauce or hoisin sauce has been provided and it makes the dish wonderful. I would've asked for hoisin sauce, but I never saw my server again. She never came back to check on me until it was time to pay the bill. I am going to go back and give it another try but this time when I placed my order, I am going to specify that I would like hoisin sauce. If I were going to recommend any improvement for this restaurant, it would be that the server is more friendly and checks in on you a few minutes after serving you to ask if you need anything else so that you can fully enjoy your meal.

They had really gone downhill with poor food quality and food running out. There were none of those problems today. There was an abundance of delicious food choices which were kept well stocked even though we were there at 3 pm between lunch and dinner. My friend doesn't eat red meat but there were ample chicken and seafood dishes to satisfy his hearty appetite. He remarked too on some of the unusual flavors~ everything wasn't bland and tasteless. I especially enjoyed several varieties of sushi as an appetizer before filling my plate with the hot food. Our table was kept cleared of our used plates as it was nice to start with a clean plate on each trip. We spent an hour and a half enjoying the tasty food and conversation. No need for me to eat dinner tonight! My friend remarked that he wished he lived closer to the New Tin Tin Buffet (we both live in Ashland) as he'd be eating there every day! We couldn't have had a better experience~ the New Tin Tin Buffet is terrific!

We had a fabulous time eating dinner here at the Tin Tin Chinese buffet. The price on weekday dinners is around $18 ...and NO tax! Please tip though. This is a pretty big place with a decent sized buffet. There's more choices than I could even try. Old dried cold food? Not here! Everything was hot and fresh as I saw trays being replenished. We went around 5pm, so yeah if you are not so smart and show up 15 minutes before they close, no the food will not be fresh and many trays will be empty, cause no business is gonna fill trays with new food right at the end and then have to toss out a ton of food after they close! We were seated in a nice booth and there seemed to be a lot of other people enjoying the food here, plates piled high with seafood and other tasty looking foods. They have all the standard American Chinese food people expect, like sweet and sour pork, egg rolls, fried rice, hot and sour soup, broccoli beef and honey walnut prawns along with some dishes I didn't know what they were. But besides these standard dishes, some more authentic dishes were available as well, like deep fried calamari with jalapeno and salt, whole baked salmon and steamed white fish, stir fried green beans with garlic, salt and pepper fried whole prawns. No chicken feet though! Some dishes I've not see at a buffet were, pulled BBQ pork, Chinese BBQ pork, sweet and sour meatballs on a skewer and even custard tarts for dessert! There's plenty of choices for all tastes, even a section of spicy Korean foods as well as sushi rolls. There is even a cold foods and salad section ... I passed saving tummy room for hot foods! The quality of all the food was above average for buffets and or equal to a sit down and order ala carte place. Drinks besides water are not included in the base price. Sushi wasn't the best, but I come for the Chinese food. Service was fine. Every time we went back to the buffet to get more food, the dirty plates were cleared from the table upon my return. I'd recommend this place for an easy dinner for a large party or just two! Or five!

The place was practically empty- white everything with black diner seats & red/floral decorations on the walls. Long, narrow passage- greeted with delayed warmth from a boisterous lady. She recommended "more bang for your buck" combinations, so I'll hafta try the ala carte entrees later. I got the crab puffs (8 for $10.25)- they were fun! Triangles vs those 'purses'. Classic krab & cream cheese, but also has diced onion! A note of freshness & packed to the gills! And the egg flower soup ('small' bowl for $6)- simple, pretty straightforward... not enough salt, so shoyu helped. Some corn, pretty sure that's why it was so thick. The #15 ($15.50) came with pork fried rice, mar far chicken & moo goo gai pan... they did not come to play! The fried rice was a little overpowered by green onion, but that's where their pink sauce really came in handy- talk about balance! Their mar far wasn't little nuggets- they were like a breast, battered & fried, THEN cut into strips! So filling! And the moo goo gai pan was refreshing- big slices of carrot, onion, cabbage, mushrooms & broccoli with slices of chicken. Heartwarming, really. With hot tea (one pot for $1?!) & a fortune cookie, came to $32.75. With tip, overall total sat at just under $40. I'm glad I stopped in- this really was a phoenix rising from the proverbial ashes; Phoenix needs a win after Alameda & this place is helping keep them strong. Highly recommend

Mar Far Chicken contains NO VEGETABLES. It is deep fried chicken breast (least flavorful of the proteins) cut into sections.
