Horrible. Food took 30 mins to prepare. Disregarded allergy and served unsafe food. Food is bland. overpriced crap. Go to mcdonald's instead. at least they are quick.

Very standard, good poke place. On the expensive side, but that's what you expect with poke, and honestly, the servings are pretty generous (even the smaller ones). The staff are super friendly and adorable, you can tell they have a very close work environment. You can make your own bowl and you pretty much have free reign of toppings without extra charge which is pretty great. I highly recommend asking for half rice and half salad as your base (it's just the right amount of warm and fresh). I really enjoyed their salmon, though their spicy tuna wasn't necessarily my favorite (too ground up and spicier than it was flavorful). I love that you can put mango and pineapple in your bowl, and I also loaded mine up with seaweed salad. Delicious. Don't skip out on the spicy mayo, it really makes the bowl. As for sizing, I got a regular and it filled me up to the point where there was a bit of rice left at the end, and I have a big appetite.

Ordered takeout so I cannot speak too much about the service besides they didn't miss anything and it was ready on time so thats a win! I got a build-your-own poke bowl and it was very okay. There were a few issues with it. I felt like the balance of proteins to rice and add ons ratio was way off. It looks like a huge portion but I was left with a big bowl of soggy rice. These bowls are not a great value topping in at at almost $20 for a bowl. That is waayyy to expensive for what you get. The inside of the restaurant is weird inside. It looks like a storage unit for broken arcade machines. Not sure what is going there.

Loved this bowl from Poke Doke. I devoured this bowl. The service was fast and the restaurant was clean. The bowl looks beautiful and I can't wait to go back!

Pokedoke is a great find in the loop! I was immediately greeted upon entering and they happily answered any questions I had about topping options. Although I did takeout, the interior is much bigger than it looks from outside and looked like a fun space to enjoy your food with friends. There's so many options to choose from, you could try a completely different bowl each visit. I really enjoyed my salmon and tuna bowl and can't wait to come back for more!

The poke bowls here and the quality is actually surprisingly good. Currently, they only have take-out options due to COVID-19 and they are a bit slow if you order in-store but the food is delicious. My go to order is make your own large bowl, which can last me 2-3 meals (make sure to refrigerate it in between). I would highly recommend getting the salmon as they do mix it with the other toppings and the quality of the fish seems pretty good. It's also nice that they have seaweed salad because sometimes it costs extra at other poke places. Definitely get the Spicy Mayo and Eel Sauce, those are pretty safe dressing if you just want a standard poke bowl. Overall, not a bad experience at all. Do make sure to order ahead of time if you don't want to wait.

    Mochi Donuts (strawberry and chocolate)

I have been wanting to try PokeDoke for awhile and so my friend and I recently stopped in to try it. I got the King Maui Moa bowl, a drink, and 3 (2 strawberry and 1 chocolate) mochi donuts. As for my friend, she ordered their Sweet Thai Chili wings, some gyozas, and a Honeydew Boba. (not pictured) The food here was everything! The King Maui Moa bowl was full of flavor and all the ingredients were fresh and blended so well together. I topped the bowl it off with some spicy mayo too and listen...there wasn't a crumb left. lol I have been wanting to try mochi donuts for awhile and omg they were so good! I tried both the strawberry and chocolate but the strawberry one is definitely my favorite. The food at PokeDoke is so good and I will be returning to try some other items on their menu.

    Hawaiian BBQ Chicken

It's okay. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ- the chicken was cooked well, good flavors and a lot of rice, but the price of $22 with a soda was a lot. The gentleman who took my order was very sweet and informative, I had lots of questions on the drinks. They no longer have their mochi donuts & the place is just run down.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this location. The food is always fresh tasting and they have the best customer service hands down! Today I ordered and put a note in my order letting them know how much we love their food and thanked them for always giving us great service. When I got home with my order and got to the bottom there was a note on a folded back in big letters with a marker that said , We love you Sonya!! :) Enjoy your meal " How special is that??? It brought tears to my eyes. In a time when everyone seems so angry and people treat you like you're a problem for ordering their food we need more of this. So THANK YOU POKE DOKE!!! I look forward to our next meal with you!

Finally! Mochi donuts in STL Thank you Pokedoke for bringing these amazing chewy donuts to us Mochi donuts were originated from from Japan and is one of the star product at Mister Donut in Taiwan. It was super popular since about at least 10 years ago in Taiwan. I never seen these being sold here in the US until recent years. It's becoming a new hit in cities with more Asian populations. I am so super excited that we can finally get them here in St. Louis! If you never tried, they are a hybrid of cake donuts and mochi, with a dense and chewy texture. Usually a sugar/flavored glazed will be applied on one side of it. This week, they have Strawberry and Black Sesame and I love them both!!! Not quite as chewy as I would hope but it definitely meets my standard and every bite is so joyful They have had Matcha, Taro, Cookies and Cream and powdered sugar flavors before. I think only the Delmar and Kirkwood locations have it right now. And they said you can contacted them with few days notice to customize the flavor you like for your event! I will definitely try to get all the flavors in the future

    Hawaiian Kalbi Short Ribs

Love this place. I think the owners name is Brendan? I've met him a couple times but he's super friendly as is the rest of the team. It's a cute casual vibe. I loveee the short ribs and macaroni salad. The poke is great too, but the ribs keep me coming back. You definitely should give them a try if you haven't.

Large poke bowls with tempura shrimp, soft shell crab, sauces, tuna and sushi rice.
    Elissa H.

Was very excited for my first time here! The food is delicious and features fresh ingredients. We got two large poke bowls including rice, seaweed salad, tuna, sauces, tempura shrimp & soft shell crab. Nicely balanced dishes - freshness from the veggies, slight sweetness from the sushi rice, richness from the seafood & customize your spice level with all kinds of sauces & add ins. Higher price point than you might think, but a lot goes into these bowls! Probably would get a smaller option next time to be more cost-effective, but definitely recommend for all poke lovers.

2 regular sized poke bowls and crab Rangoon
    Ashley B.

I love how many toppings there are to choose from. There are also many protein options. I wanted to get the octopus but they were sold out. I ended up ordering the ahi tuna, shrimp, and salmon. It is a pretty big cup that is completely filled up when you get it. They also have multiple sauce options and you can get stuff on the side. We ordered the crab Rangoons as a starter which were delicious. I felt like the price was a little high. It is a big cup, but a lot of it is your base. I chose rice and spring mix so that was the majority and then my vegetable toppings. I was hoping there would be more protein.

However, I will tell you that Eddie turned it around. He was incredible. Sure, normally wait staff will tell you "oh yes great choice" so I asked if he would actually tell us if things were bad. Now, he didnt say anything was bad, but he did say he felt this other dish was better than what a person ordered because it had more flavor and yada yada. A honest man. Love to see that. Japanese Curry = Little spicy, but great flavor. Yum. Wagyu and bacon bao = amazing. Get it. Pork belly boa = a little dry, bummer. Fried shrimp boa = good. Fries = 100/10. Perfectly crispy. Amazing. Also a little thing, but the light on table had three different settings and I just really appreciated that. Treat yourself to this small restaurant tucked away in Clayton and go visit by boy Eddie.

We had reservations but it was so cold we went early praying that they had open seating. We were in luck the bar was open. Inside it was swanky, I liked the aesthetic. if you are looking for a place that's ultra private, this isnt it. but it would be an awesome date night. The bartender was welcoming and open. I was enthralled as they made the cocktails. They answered random questions and helped us picked something for our palate. I had the Paloma (Palo-Ho-HO-Ma) it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! i mean like go just to get one of those. Then i had the sweet chili popcorn tofu. That was also good. Next I had Tom Kha. Refreshing spicy creamy soup. almost licked the bowl. Then i chose three different bao sandwiches. chicken, the pork belly, and the shrimp tempura. All the sandwiches were great, but after all the food i ate i was so full i couldn't appreciate them like they deserved. Now all the food AND the drink was for $40.00 You see I gave them 5 stars. I usually don't do that and this was my first time at the establishment. The food was so good that I started talking to the persons next to me at the bar and looking at their food selection. I will definitely be back . Are you still reading this, why aren't you in the car driving there yet.

I think…read morethere may not be enough seating for its customer demand... that's a sign of a popular place. Happy hour prices + the food quality are what had my friend invite me here. Some rolls are half off and so are a few beverages, like hot sake. I had never had hot sake. I've only had any sake once. I liked it fine, but I didn't want a second order after I finished the first. I was disappointed that Robata was out of plum wine. Instead I ordered what was described as a white sangria, but it tasted more like a brandy. I had a few sips and gave it to my friend. I had 4 vegetarian sushi rolls. Only the asparagus was included with happy hour. My 3 other rolls were takuan, pickle plum and BB. As much as I like plum (keep reading), and takuan was a pleasant surprise, and the asparagus was good, the BB, which has tempura asparagus, cream cheese, and sweet soy, was my favorite item of the evening. I was happy to see umeboshi onigiri on the lengthy menu. These were of a good size, but I think it perhaps would have benefitted from a higher pickled plum to rice ratio. (The only time I've had it has been from a food truck and I don't know how representative it is of onigiri.) Each order of food took a while to come out. My friend had trouble getting the server's attention when she wanted to put in more orders. Robata is not a place for a quick happy hour bite. It's going to take a while, especially if you're ordering in multiple rounds like we did. When the kitchen got too busy, my order another roll was denied. That happened well before dinner service ended and it was disappointing. I would have waited a bit longer. But it was probably good to get cut off from sushi at some point. We were a little confused by the bills. My friend may have overpaid (not gotten happy hour price) for some of her items, and there was some question about whether mine had been billed correctly, but in the end we decided that mine was probably correct. Hers, though... we aren't sure. I think I'll return to Robata for the BB roll, plum wine, and maybe something new, but I will be sure to have plenty of time, order a bunch all at once, and check the bill.

Since my source for umeboshi onigiri seems to have ceased operations (does anyone know what…read morehappened to the Izumi food truck?), i was pretty excited to see pickled plum rice balls on the menu here. I came with a friend for happy hour. We got the half off sushi (which included the mackerel nigiri, which is my FAVORITE (Tho, theirs isn't as good as Sushi Hanna in Alton)) and house hot sake, which was perfect for this freezing week. The heat was out? Which the waitress apologized for. They had a space heater out, so we sat right by that. I also ordered a few of the onigiri to go. They aren't the best I've had, but I'll probably be back semi-regularly to get my fix of the flavor, which is just so unique. Same for half off mackerel Maybe one day I'll even try their non-sushi offerings...
