Wasabi has always been a great place for sushi. We were wanting sushi so we went here to eat. We have been to several other wasabi and food tastes pretty good. The sashimi tastes fresh. I love salmon sashimi and this place does not disappoint. The server was good and he takes our order pretty fast. He also was by himself and was patience with the table next to us with people who seem to never ate here before.

Consistently good sushi! My boyfriend and I often come here and the Girl on Fire roll never disappoints. Our go-to rolls are Girl on Fire, Rainbow Roll, and then we'll try a new-to-us roll. Have always had a good experience!

Was in town for business. Wasabi use to be located around the corner and in all The years worked in Clayton, was never disappointed with any Lunch or Dinner. Spent plenty of $. However, this new location and staff and quality is not one that impressed me nor will I be returning. I arrived when they opened. It was a few minutes before someone approached me. It was another 1/2 hour before received food(all Ordered at beginning). The portions were small rolls yet for $17 is absolutely not worth it. The tuna and salmon didn't taste to what I expect at any high end restaurant. Very disappointed and not on my return list. For the cost of lunch, I left hungry and disappeared. Should have gone to a Panera Bread for a salad and sandwich or soup.

We went to Wasabi on Valentine's day, we both really had a sushi craving and we were calling up places for a last minute reservation with not a lot of luck until showing up here. You could tell they were having a crazy day all the staff looked really busy the entire time but I was impressed with how often they still got around to us. We both got drinks while waiting on the food, just beer and wine, both which were good. Then got our rolls which were delicious. I got shrimp the tempura roll and veggie roll. the place was very open, clean looking, and very nice. One bummer was that we were both pretty cold, i think the door behind us was giving us a little chill the entire time.

My daughter and I went for lunch, and the food was so delicious, like always. They do have a lunch menu, which makes it a little cheaper. The lunch portions are a filling size, and we even had leftovers. It was super cold in the restaurant but it was 100° the day before we went and 70° the day we went. Our server was the only server working, so we did have to wait extra long to place a to go order and get our bill, but she provided everything we asked for with a smile.

I like this location. Service and food were really good. It was not busy around 5.30pm, then it got packed in an hour Great open indoor place for groups with their high ceilings. Only con: bistro chairs are not comfortable, they are little too tall for those tables and make it hard to eat.

I Went to wasabi last night and overall my friends and I had a great time! However, if you were thinking of going to wasabi for sushi I would recommend going somewhere a little more reasonably priced! All of the rolls there are 9 dollars or more unless you go Tuesday for their 7$ roll special! There wasn't anything particularly wrong with the sushi and it was beautiful but the taste didn't really stand out. However, their fried rice was pretty good and it was clean in shop! To conclude my review though I would recommend going somewhere else for better food at a better price!

It's......ok I mean, if you're in the 'hood, your choices aren't really that great, and this will do. It's all very generic, which is also absolutely fine, I mean, you won't be disappointed. Oh, get sushi, and stay away from most everything else...

Love Wasabi for work lunches with my colleagues. I have only been here twice, but both times the food and service were excellent. This time, I ordered the bonsai roll and the vegetable roll. Both were very fresh and an exciting combination of textures. My favorite part about Wasabi is that they have interesting curated rolls for vegetarians, which is often not the case. There is street parking directly outside and on the streets around Wasabi, and there is also a garage in the Centene building that contains Wasabi. Although I am not 100% sure, but I imagine they would validate tickets from the parking garage, as I know other nearby restaurants do. Highly recommend giving Wasabi a try!

The food is always great. However the service at lunch was a bit tricky because they are in need of staff.

You do have to wait awhile after ordering sushi for them to prepare the rolls, so order earlier if you know you want to try other rolls. There's a 2-hour limit after you're seated. And don't forget the deep-fried Oreos--my friend ate 8 of them because they were so good!! I tried the sugar biscuit too and it reminded me of a dense beignet.

Ours was amazing, she said "we don't fork shame here" I fork shame, but she refused. Good for her! I also ordered a cocktail. I would arrive to Sado just for this cocktail, it had a coconut pillow top, that was reminiscent of a marshmallow. Delightful compliment to my savory dinner. I was very surprised at the size of Sado on the inside, we made a turn into the seating then a second turn deeper into seating. I did not get to check out the bathrooms, which disappointed me, but the ambiance was very dark and romantic, also unexpected, there were several tables of friend groups.

Some of the bites are definitely an acquired taste (this meal was my first exposure to eating liver and sea urchin - both very bold and unique flavors) but getting to try new foods was something I really liked about this meal. The restaurant is beautiful, warm, and bright. You get to sit right up at the counter with just 5 other people when you do the nine-course dinner. Each course is prepared in front of you so it's neat to be able to see the chefs prepare the next course while you're eating. When you book the reservation, you get the choice to pick between tempura and yakizakana for one of the courses, and while the tempura was good (which I ordered), the yakizakana was excellent (which my husband ordered). They do a great job explaining what everything is that you're eating, how to eat it, and which order to eat it in. And even though it's all small bites, we left dinner feeling full and satisfied. We will absolutely be back.

However, I had a different experience in April. My friend made a reservation for his birthday today. It was the groups' first time coming and they were all very excited. We called multiple times to make sure a group of 12 was okay. We are all aware that not every restaurant is suitable for such a big group, but were told it was not a problem. As soon as we sat down, we could tell one of the servers was very annoyed at the group. From the start, he would answer with an attitude, harshly put the plates on the table, and was outright disrespectful when we asked about a friend's plate that never arrived. This person ended up leaving and going to eat somewhere else. I was a server before and understand that big groups can be frustrating. Nevertheless, there is no excuse to treat a table so rudely when they have been nothing but nice and understanding. The food was great, but we were all extremely dissapointed, specially me since I've been here numerous times with no problem. I had never seen this server before, so I'm not sure if it was an off day for him or what. Most people said they would not come back, which made me very sad since it's good food. Thankfully, the female servers were all very nice and accomodating after the entire situation. I highly recommend Sushi Koi for their rolls. However, do not come in big groups.
