I ordered from Poké-City because there was a BOGO free offer for the Mango Chicken Bowl on UberEats. Usually I'd go for actually poke with raw fish, but I really enjoyed this option too! Everything tasted super fresh and the chicken was cooked nicely. Lots of veggies, so no complaints from me. Even though I ordered from UberEats, I still went in person to pick up my bowl. The restaurant seemed modern and clean, based on my quick drop in. I'd order from here again.

Such a good spot just a block away from where I stayed. I ordered the City Special and was really happy with the portion. Would definitely go back!

This is a hole-in-the-wall poke bowl restaurant near Faneuil Hall and the New England Aquarium. The menu is totally customizable and pretty reasonably priced for being in the middle of the city. The food is always fresh. I've been ordering to-go from here for over a year and have never had a problem. Depending on the time of day, there may be a line for those ordering in-store, but picking up is practically instantaneous. The staff are pretty quiet, but that makes for a relaxing place to sit and eat. I usually take my food to eat in the park but there are some tables inside - enough room for three or four people. As far as accessibility, the entrance has at least one step and it's a little narrow. It shares the entryway with a set of apartments on the upper floors, so there's a tight turn into the restaurant.

Needed a protein fix mid day after forgetting to pack my lunch - Poke-City was the perfect spot to get a good mix of protein and carbs in. You can stack your own bowl choosing two different meats if you like. I went with the spicy tuna bowl. The staff was hard at work but made sure there was not a long line of people waiting. There is not anywhere to sit down inside so take your bowl to go!

We went there with very little expectations, I tried poke in Hawaii and I loved it. Been looking for a good poke place ever since, but never found anything that came even close to Hawaii poke. Saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. I fell in love, it's been twice in the same week I go there. The salmon, tuna and ingredients are fresh and super tasty. The staff is amazingly friendly and the restaurant is well located. I recommend it and I certainly will be going again. They have a reward/loyalty system, after 10 visits you get a free plate, which is a nice extra.

This bowl was delicious and I always will recommend making your own poke bowl to get the best flavors. This is a solid poke place and will probably be my go-to place until I find a one that blows me away in Boston.

This place has good poke bowl menu selections. They have plenty of topping options and the bowls are quite filling. I recommend it if your in the downtown area.

Classic Chicken Bowl - Teriyaki Chicken

At best I would describe this place as mediocre. I read the rave reviews and thought I'd give this place a shot. Ordered a Classic Chicken bowl (of all things to order at a poke place, I know this probably isn't the go-to, but I was in the mood, and it was on the menu, so I spun the wheel). Overall the bowl was just fine, not terrible and certainly not great. There were six small bland chicken thigh bits and some unseasoned corn, some cabbage, green onion and shiitake mushrooms. Other than the mushrooms, which were the highlight, there really wasn't much holding this thing together as a dish. It felt more like a bunch of ingredients thrown together, rather than a bowl of curated teriyaki goodness. What I can say for sure is that the Classic Chicken bowl just doesn't live up to the hype of the other reviews. Still, it's only one dish, and it may be that the salmon and tuna are the better options. That said, I'll not be returning for this one.

The second time I went back, I ordered take out so I could eat it at the airport for dinner. I ordered the Sake Maguro Hamachi don, added ikura and negitoro. We popped in here for a post-movie snack. Even though we came at a pretty inconvenient time for the staff (right before last call and half an hour before closing for lunch), our waitress was super sweet and checked in on us when we were done to see what our favorite roll was. The food came out very quickly, maybe because of the off-hour. We got the seaweed salad (not bad, very cucumber heavy); and an assortment of handrolls (toro, spicy blue crab, spicy scallop, and California lobster roll). Everything about each roll was sublime, from the delicate crispy nori, the slightly above room temperature rice, and the generous cuts of seafood laid on top. My favorite was the toro with caviar. You almost don't need to dip any of these in the accompanying soy sauce, though they do provide that, along with ginger and wasabi. Extensive drink menu too. Loved the offer of a complimentary Lactaid to go with the matchatini that includes cheese foam - this place knows some of their customers suffer from dairy! Dinner has a few more options, though lunch offers slightly discounted sets of three handrolls. There's a description on the back of the menu for how to eat these. I'd love to try their sister restaurant, Matsunori. Parking is tough for this area: if you can swing dinner and a movie, that might be the best deal, as Alamo offers validated parking for I believe up to four hours.

We started with a salmon yamakake ($13) which had a very fresh, delicate flavor. The grated yam adds a super gooey texture which might not be for everyone. I was initially a little bit annoyed at the price point for these dishes, but after seeing just how much protein each udon came with, I felt that the price was very fair. The udon was bouncy, chewy, and a decent portion size. I ended up having to take some leftovers home. XO Seafood Udon: The restaurant specifically labeled it "wok-tossed," and it truly had a wonderful wok-hei鑊氣 (wok aroma), with an irresistible fragrance as soon as it arrived at the table. The XO sauce was extremely rich, sweet and umami, and the udon noodles were soft on the outside and bouncy on the inside; the sauce was glossy, smooth, but not greasy, allowing it to coat the noodles evenly and infuse them with flavor. The shrimp, squid, and scallops were all fresh and large, making for a very satisfying meal. The shrimp, in particular, were coated with a thin layer of starch before being pan-fried, adding layers of texture and locking in the juices. This plate removed the scallions and onions to suit my taste, and if you like spicy food, adding a little chili oil would greatly enhance the flavor. The restaurant had an elegant and refined ambiance, and the service was attentive, making it a very relaxing place.

When I made the reservation online I put that the occasion it was for was my birthday- I notice that most restaurants don't pay attention to this on OpenTable, but Fuji definitely did! We were seated quickly and with no issue at all, despite it being pretty crowded. The vibe was intimate and classy- a great spot for date night, or for dinner with your parents. At our table was a card (in the pictures) which was such a nice touch and was a great start to the meal. Our waitress was awesome, and it seemed like there was a floor manager too that was making sure everyone was happy. It felt like the staff truly cared and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time and experience. Our waitress checked in on us multiple times, and was very helpful with the menu. Speaking of the menu, I was very pleased to see the amount of vegetarian dishes! You don't see that often at Japanese restaurants! For our appetizers we got the lobster Rangoon and spicy edamame. Technically the tofu is an app but you would never guess that from the portion size. The edamame were outstanding! They were spicy as expected and were so tasty. We demolished the whole bowl. The Rangoons were also amazing- the chunks of lobster were divine. I myself love lobster and crab Rangoons, so a combo?! Amazing. Both the edamame and lobster Rangoons are can't misses. For our entrees/ mains we got the crispy soy noodles, miss Waldorf roll, sweet potato roll, tofu, and fried rice. The miss Waldorf roll is amazing, and I can not wait to go back and get more sushi. Truly the best sushi I have had in boston. There are other upscale sushi restaurants I have been to that charge a pretty penny but taste like grocery store sushi. Fuji is not one of those- it was truly exceptional sushi. The sweet potato roll was also delicious! I am very picky about my sweet potato rolls and had one that I have dreamt about since I had it in 2022. I have finally found a sweet potato roll that matches my standards. The crispy soy noodles were also amazing! They reminded e of one of my favorite restaurants when I was a kid and it filled me with such joy to eat something with that flavor. The serving size was pretty big too, and they were not shy on the shrimp! Note though, they were a tad oily (I added a little bit of soy sauce to balance it out). The fried rice was also very good and tasted like a good bowl of comfort fried rice. My parents ate it with the tofu and liked it! The only dish I would want some change in is the tofu- it wasn't bad but compared to the other dishes it definitely lacked the flavor punch you get in the rest of the dishes. The sauce was okay with it. After dinner our waitress brought a slice of vanilla crepe cake and ice cream! This was such a nice touch and it was SO good!!!!! It was the first time I ever had crepe cake but I loved it! I'm not sure if they have a dessert menu or not (we weren't asked if we wanted to see one) but I would love to go back and get that cake again! Overall I am beyond happy that I picked this spot for my birthday- I had an amazing experience and amazing food. Will definitely be back!
