What an awesome experience! My house needed to be re-roofed. I reached out to four roofers for…read moreestimates. For two of them I had to send weekly reminders that I wanted an estimate. Chris at High Elevation got me an estimate within a few days of my request. The fourth? No idea, he said he'd call me back in 20 minutes and I'm still waiting. Their price was very competitive and they scheduled the work for when it was convenient. Unfortunately, the weather didn't participate and we had to move it out two days. Not their fault and I'm glad they decided to be safe. On day 1 about 7 workers showed up and went at it. My house is 2,700 sq. ft. single story with a 2 car garage so there's a lot of roof. They put a trailer in the driveway and all I could see was roofing raining down all around the house. They had the old roof off and underlayment installed by the end of day 1. The new shingles showed up but the truck couldn't get up my driveway so they couldn't use the crane. So, they carried the shingles up a ladder - heavy but no complaints. They cleaned up everything before they left. On day 2 the same workers showed up on time and went to work. I was impressed with the attention to detail and at least one worker constantly picking up scrap and depositing it into the trailer. They didn't quite finish after day 2 and came back early the next morning to complete the roof and do a final clean up including going around the perimeter with a magnet to get any nails. My yard looked better after they were done than before they started the job. All in all, a great job by a crew of hardworking, knowledgeable professionals. Would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.

Contractor completed job in 16 MONTHS, left materials exposed in the yard the entire time, left…read morewide gaps in siding around windows, ripped window screens, refused to listen to the customer (insisted that rotted wood didn't need to be replaced), replaced mismatched trim, telling me it was the same size, unreliable, inconsistent communication (showed up when they said they would maybe 25% of the time), all around horrible experience. I knew more about what made logical sense than the contractor or crew did! This job was a complete frustrating disaster from day one and cost a fortune, definitely not worth the stress it created. I continue to pay for this company's mistakes (still have rotted wood and a leak). I will never recommend or use this company again. This guy called his 'friends' to do required repair work or quotes, as follows: an electrician charged $700 to cap off an exterior light, 6 pieces of interior window trim replaced (3" x 34") cost $1,000 (due to contractor's crew hammering the heck out of my dormers), and a $2,000 quote for mowing 2.5 acres. Guessing they all get a kickback from each other. Ladies, watch out for contractors who take advantage of women.

Honestly the first was good and I expected to pay ~$24K for a new roof. But then I called Altitude to get another estimate. Wow, what a shock. I asked for an estimate for either roof repair or replacement. The gentleman, Kyle, showed up on time and wanted to see inside the attic first. After examining the attic he said it did not look like I had any serious leaks and roof maintenance was all I really needed. After going outside and examining my roof (this is where I expected the proposal to come from) he said the roof looked in good shape and only needed some minor work on a few excursions. He said tile roofs last ~40years with good maintenance - I am still waiting for estimate - he said he could repair some minor places where time had reduced the seals, AND HE WOULD GLADLY DO THAT AT NO COST WHILE HE WAS THERE. Wow! I said "sure" can't argue with the cost. He went back on roof, applied some sealant. He then said for me to inspect the attic during any rain storms and give him a call if I was concerned. I wish I could give more stars. He may not have saved me the $24K eventually but he definitely delayed it. I added Altitude to my phone contacts because that's who I will call in the future.

We had Barden come out among other companies to quote our remodel. We gave them a rendition of…read moreexactly what we wanted and they suggested price would be 30,000-40,000 closer to 40 and they were the only company that said for a full quote they would need $500 fee for their own rendition and to get the subcontractors out for full quote. We paid this and This process took over two months and their rendition was exactly what we handed them on the first day. When the process was over they came back with a final quote for 62,000 more than 20,000 over what they initially said cost would be with absolutely no changes and were not interested in working to reduce the cost. Very disappointed in them and their process especially since we had told other companies we were going with someone else and they took more than two months to essentially tell us they misrepresented their capabilities and costs. Edit after their response: they were told from the beginning the size of fireplace we wanted and that we wanted microcement. I knew that the initial verbal was meant to be non formal but $20,000 is not anywhere close. Their response also says they offered to change things, which their changes would still not have come within 10,000 of the high end of the original verbal estimate. Nothing major changed from the first day when we told them specifics of what we wanted.

Everyone from the owner to the office staff to the installer were kind and thorough. The job was done when they said it would be done and it was done well. When the time comes that I do need a whole new roof, there's only one call I'll be making! They have my future business and I'm recommending them to anyone who will listen.

I cancelled my Sunday plans to wait to meet them and texted around noon to see if they were coming and received a two letter answer... "No". Haven't heard from them since and feel the response was unprofessional. Especially since I didn't ask him to come on Sunday and it caused me to miss out on my only day off by waiting around for them. In all fairness, they do appear to be doing a nice job on my neighbor's house so maybe it's just me he didn't like (3 stars reflect that).
