There are several reasons buying a house in Seatac was the worst decision of my life, but the main…read morereason is the noise. I have roosters next door. There is no law against roosters, a creature known for aggressive behavior and making excessive noise. For three years I have been asking the city to do something. Every night I am woken up, sometimes as early as 2:30 am. When I say every night, I mean every night, including Christmas. After visiting the code complaint office several times and opening two seperate cases, finally some action was taken. Unfortunately, it took several months and speaking in front of the city council until there was any results. Still, I am woken up in the middle of every night. The animal hoarding situation next door went from a ridiculous 30+ birds to the code compliant 4, one still being a rooster. The city says since the neighbors are now code complaint they are done. Now they don't even return my emails. The city of Seatac seems to strongly oppose any change, even something as common sense as simple legislation against roosters. Every other city and town in the tri-county area has a law in effect but Seatac. Do yourself a favor and don't move here. The city is more concerned with creating watch lists for Islamic residents than addressing any of your concerns. At one time my mail was stolen and I had to wait 8 hours for a cop who basically said I should have had a locking mailbox. I am currently saving up to move out of this noisy disappointment of a neighborhood.

Also spent time up in the hill at a park that was surrounded by single family houses. I'm no expert of Kent but geographically its close to Seattle which is plus in my book. I think any decent city should have a nearby airport and this city does. Stayed at the Extended Stay in Kent - so my view of the city is limited but still very real. The surrounding areas to the hotel looked clean and industrial. The 7/11 next door didn't attract any trouble and I took a walk in the morning toward the bowling alley and car dealers on the main road and all that looked clean and well cared for too. I did notice one homeless camp in the parking lot of a motel - but everything was clean and orderly and seemingly peaceful. The park I visited was very beautiful. The surrounding nature and the more intentionally designed park were pleasant to be in. The area was of single family homes and up a hill just enough so that you could see out into the distance. During my stay I had no problems and no car break ins (also had an out of state license plate on my car that made me think I'd be a target). As a tourist visiting the greater Seattle area I'd recommend it if you find a room for the right price.

The police officers talked to both of them for well over an hour and calm them down. I think the police officer did a fantastic job of avoiding conflict and getting the situation under control that all the place that were out here should be commended

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!…read more So they flip flopped the TSA Pre-check / CLEAR lines again. Then I'm actually waiting in a line to go through security. Then every pilot is cutting line which is BULLS$$T cause they should have alternative passage way. Now this is where IT hits the fan! Folks I'm wearing sweatpants & shirt. I go through x-ray and they say we need to frisk you down the system showed something in groin area.. I know I'm gifted but not for x-ray to have an issue.. So the gentleman who's now embarrassed shares the good news of how he needs to violate me. I felt like Jody Foster in "THE ACCUSED", I'm completely man handled out in the open. Needless to say I passed with flying colors and now he's scared for life of rubbing between my legs & butt. He should have done the moonwalk after the groping since I came close to being a Michael Jackson victim... Get your act together TSA !

The checkpoint is currently temporarily closed until late this year or early next year. It is being renovated before the World Cup arrives next year. The renovation is supposed to add more space and increase the queue area, which is much appreciated. It was the one checkpoint I avoided at Sea-Tac specifically for those reasons. The line seemed to move slower as a result of the way that the checkpoint was structured. Here is hoping that the new checkpoint is much improved. In the meantime, I would check the wait times at each checkpoint and suggest scheduling a Spot Saver appointment for a quicker trip through the TSA line at Sea-Tac.
