Kielbasa, sauerkraut, pierogi, stuffed cabbage. All delicious!

Incredible! Food, service, cleanliness of the dining area, some outdoor seating if the eather is right. This is an absolute em, and I'm so glad I found it and tried it. Thanks to the folks at Big George's/Witbeck Home Appliance Mart who encouraged me to go. It was a great choice and I can't wait to go back and trymore of their menu!

The Dill Pickle soup was a perfect way to start out with on this cold snowy day. Had some Kielbasa Sausage with sauerkraut and mustard, and it was fantastic. Rye bread had great flavor as well. To drink we had a good tasting, simple unsweetened ice tea. Service was very efficient. We will be back.

Great lunch as always. When ever I'm in Petoskey I make sure to go. Never disappoints.

Food was amazing! Half the town was shut down for the weather, but this gem was open. What a perfect meal for taking a ski break. I left warm and full for the rest of the day at the hill.

This place is great! Atmosphere is a normal restaurant. Clean, nothing fancy. But the food! Best Polish food I have had. Everything is well prepared and delicious. Best to call ahead since it tends to be busy in its limited hours. It's only open for lunch sadly, but the owner has kids and trouble getting a babysitter. The service is friendly enough, but this place is all about the food. Potato pancakes are so fire! Pierogi sampler is absolutely awesome. Never had a bad meal here.

    Kielbasa to die for!

As authentic as it gets! Delicious kielbasa & pirogies. Also had potato pancakes (amazing!) Samples everything!

Husband and wife team providing Polish cuisine. Portions are large and very flavorful. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We both enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.

I had a rough visit at the dentist nearby and was wanting to grab some food before heading home. I've always loved pierogis, so to find this shop so close was a delight! I was able to find the menu easily online, and when I walked in I found a few tables with older folks sitting inside. The shelves were decorated with the old olive and pepper jars from the 90s but gave an interesting European vibe to the place. I went to the front counter where the young man told me I could take a seat with a menu if needed but to order at the counter when ready. I ordered six potato cheddar pierogis with hot sauce and a drink, got the drink from the fountain and waited maybe a few minutes top for my food to arrive. These were so soft and tender with such a smooth filling, but still had a really nice crisp. A butter onion and bacon sauce adorned the top, a delightful mix with the Chalula provided to me. Upon leaving, I let the guy know that I could never go back to the frozen Mrs. Ts variety after trying theirs, and he laughed and said that's how they stay in business! When I let him know I wasn't local, he informed me that they sell them by the dozen in a variety of flavors. Naturally, I took two dozen home and they survived the car ride an hour and a half back north! Couldn't have been happier with this experience and I can't wait to go back to the dentist solely so I can stop here again. Great service, phenomenal food, and pre-pandemic pricing. Absolutely zero complaints!

Food was great! Only in area for the week and didn't have great experiences with food in the area. This place absolutely redeemed Petoskey! Wish I would have fond this place earlier in week. I do wish they had later hours. Regardless...best food of the trip! Thank you Polish Kitchen.

Had the homemade chicken soup and meat goulash with mashed potatoes - DELICIOUS! Endless bread and butter. Attentive, friendly service, food like mom used to make...a rare find these days. Clean and inviting dining room....highly highly recommend!

Ok, to find this little gem in Cedar was such a pleasant surprise!…read more We were not hungry in the least bit but when we discovered the Polish Countryside Kitchen we had to get a "Scooby snack" of pierogi and cucumber dill salad. The gentleman running the truck was super friendly and took the time to share with us how he operates his farm and his motivation to do so. The kitchen prides itself in serving authentic Polish cuisine with only the best of ingredients. Since it's a food trailer, you get to enjoy your food outdoors, and in this day the weather was perfect, it was fun to watch the motorcycles ride by as we ate our snack. Now onto the food! We tried the cheddar potato and it was delicious! the pierogi were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crispiness from searing and the filling was very light but full of flavor. And the cucumbers dill salad reminded me of my Babusia made when I would visit her as a boy. .

Everything at Polish Countryside Kitchen is the best version of that item I've ever tried, but I…read more*really* wish there was consistency in business hours. The owner is amazing, we chatted with him at length about his farm, standards, etc. It's refreshing to meet someone that cares as much about what they are consuming as you do! This guy gets it. Tried the goat burger, not at all what I expected! Was way less gamey...more like a bison/veal. Definitely try it! So nice he had a GF option for this, the grilled cabbage and beets (seemed like a beet hummus almost) was 11/10. The pierogi? 20/10. Even though he doesn't make his own (uses Srodek's) IT IS THE BEST PIEROGI I HAVE EVER TASTED! The secret? He cooks it in lard from his own farm. The kapusta & kielbasa flavor was my fav. Also ordered a birch sap drink, and there are so many health benefits! Loved it! While I found it surprising he wasn't familiar with Polish terminology in conversation, and he told us he'd be open on the 4th...that was a lie. A bummer since we drove far, but it's his business, he can do what he wants. Believe they are open Friday-Monday, but don't quote me on that. Lol If you are in TC, Glenn Arbor, Empire, or anywhere around Sleeping Bear Dunes, Polish Countryside Kitchen is 100% worth the drive!
