I went in to get my acrylics off and just that. She cut my cuticle and instead of letting me wash my hand and pressing a tissue on it to stop bleeding she put some powder on it that soaked it up and let blood crust on my nail (it won't come off). She then charged me five extra dollars for fixing it like she wasn't the one who cut my finger in the first place. She also didn't fully drill the acrylic off, and my nails are still thick with it. The place had a great vibe and my friends/family recommended it so I'm sure this isn't usual but I'm annoyed to say the least. read more

I hate writing bad reviews because I know how important they are, but here goes. I went in last Tuesday for a full set and a pedicure scheduled an hour before they close. I was surprised they took me because it seems like it would take longer. I showed her a picture of what I wanted (light pink with cat eye line effect) and she kept insisting I get white since I said it's for my wedding. She reluctantly gave me what I asked after much debate for some reason. I also told her I wanted almond nails and even argued with me then that she couldn't do it. I finally settled on coffin nails and had to literally argue with her to make them shorter since I still had to go the work the next day. The entire time after I paid she was giggling about how much money I paid and how she just wanted to go home. I get it, no one wants to work. But it also made me, and the customer, feel bad. I get pedicures twice a month so it was important to find a place close by but more importantly a place that gave me beautiful toes! Both of my visits were with Susan. She does such a great job! I went to this place years ago and loved it but I have moved since so it's been a while. I went for a mani/pedi. I got the signature pedi and a gel manicure. One lady started my pedicure and ripped off a piece of skin or cuticle or something, it was painful. Then her appointment arrived and another person took over who was gentle and did a great job. I did notice that other people were offered water when they were seated but I was not so that was interesting. The lady who did my manicure was nice and built rapport with me, which is a lost art these days. I thought she did a thorough job doing my manicure but that's where my positive review ends. I got my mani/pedi on a Friday and by Sunday, my polish was peeling off. I had not done anything strenuous with my hands. It is now Wednesday of the following week and I have 2 other nails with the gel polish peeling off. For $50, I think this is unacceptable. I should have gone with my first mind to just get a manicure with clear polish. Lesson learned. read more

This place is really cute and the ladies are nice. I went to get my nails done after not doing them for over 12 years. And at first I thought they were cute but then as I started to look at them I noticed there is no apex. No curve to keep them sturdy. And they point up a little. One broke and I had them for less than 24 hours. I'm so sad. This is why I didn't get my nails done. Update, they did end up fixing my nail for free. And I really appreciate that. It shouldn't have broke in the first place ( I was literally opening up a trash bag) . Since she fixed my nail they have not broke again. I still think there's is little to no apex in the nail structure and that's more than likely why it broke. But these ladies are very sweet and the shop itself is super cute too. read more

Eyebrows are half the size of the other. Right hand nails all fell of 8 days after. When letting them know this they sent me a text saying they would make it right. When I call to schedule an appointment the manager Kim said they couldn't do anything about it because it was too long after. I was out of town and could not get back in town for a family emergency service and how they treated me was unproffesional. The owner wrote me back again apologizing asking me to call the store and they would make it right as seen in the screenshot below. I am looking for a new, long term nail tech. I walked in to check out Polish Me Pretty in Tempe. The place looked nice and was clean. I approached the desk to ask a couple of questions, and that is when it went downhill. The girl at the desk was not interested in helping, acted as though she didn't know much about the business or the nail techs, and actually said she didn't get her nails done- so couldn't speak for anyone. (Her nails were done, btw). She handed me a brochure in lieu of assistance... wow. I asked if I could make an appt, she didn't move to pick up a pen to make the appt on the appt pad right in front of her- nor ask when I might want to come in. NOTHING. This was on 05/09/2025. Hopefully someone will see this and speak with the girl that was at the desk- chances are she has run off other business, sadly. read more

I was just a walk-in my 1st time so I just went to whoever was available.. A young male did my nails, I didn't catch his name. I get Dip on my natural nails! My 2nd time Kayla did my nails and pedicure! Some places rush through the pedicure, not Kayla. She took her time and did a great job! I get the 2nd to most expensive pedicure with gel polish. I got my nails done yesterday by Kayla again and today one chipped! I went right in and one of the available ladies fixed it with no charge. I've been here a few times and my mom comes regularly. I scheduled 2 appointments today, one for my little sister and one for me (at the same time). The receptionist knew we were together and knew the appointments were booked together. We arrived at 9:55AM for 2 10AM appointments. A kind nail tech got started on my sister around 10:05, and I sat and waited. 10, 15, 20 minutes went by...nothing. Meanwhile, the receptionist sat on her phone ignoring everything. At 10:45ish the nail tech, who was lovely, finished my sister's gel manicure so I paid for just hers and we left. What's the point in making an appointment if you have to wait 45 minutes...and god forbid you get pleasant customer service from the receptionist who did NOT even apologize. She started out by saying they were down four nail techs and they didn't have the nail tech for the type of mani requested. I agreed to change my type of mani to a dip and then she told me they couldn't do that either, they couldn't do any manis and would I like to reschedule. I'm terrible at making appointments and they've always managed to accommodate me as a walk-in. The salon looks nice and seems clean, with nice massage chairs. I've been to this salon 4x prior to my review. Sometimes in order to fully experience how well or not well is, you need to visit more than once. Here is my experience: First time I came I got a pedicure. I didn't make an appointment I was a walk in and they seemed weren't too busy so they took me in. Pedicure was good. Pedicure area is located in the back of the room. Chairs are comfortable and I was offered a water bottle. (Nice touch) Second time I came was for a full set of acrylic nails. I was assisted by a lady and took her almost an hour and a half to complete. Her job was just "ok". I couldn't ask for her to fixed what needed to be fixed cause I needed to leave by then and quite honestly I was tired of sitting there. Third time i called and made an appinment BEFORE I came in. I gave them my and my phone number. When I arrived "sorry no appointment for you". I showed them my call log to proof that I had indeed called but of course this places just don't care and I had to leave with the "I'm sorry, next time blah blah blah" bullsh*t. I ended up coming back 2 hours later. (Silly me, I should just never come here) Anyway on to my last and final time. I broke a nail and wanted it to be fixed. I made an appointment online for 2pm and to confirm I called to let them know I had made the appointment. The lady that answer the phone advise that since I was only fixing a nail I didn't need an appointment to just walk in. Don't trust them and get your self an appointment so I kept the appointment. I decided to show up at 1:15pm. I waited for 45 min. The lady that started my nail said she didn't know how to do what I needed her to do and had the audacity of sharing with me that she had an appointment. Ummmmmmm I HAD AN APPOINTMENT! But of course you can't argue with them. She told me I had to wait for someone else. 30 mins later some other lady started my nails but not without laughing and speaking to another employee as she asked me to sit down. She too did a terrible job. It's been enough for me. As nice as this place is I won't be coming here again. read more

I've been coming here for a while. I've only been getting manicures here up until recently and have noticed how the service gets worse and worse every time. The last time and final time I'll ever go back they completely botched my friends nails. I was so appalled by how unprofessional that particular employee was. My friend asked her to be gentle with buffing and using the nail drill on certain fingers because she had cuts around her nails. She left with several new cuts and worsened ones due to the employees flagrant disregard. Then when my friend looked obviously and rightfully upset about her nails she went over to one of the other staff members pointing and talking about my friend which I found extremely disrespectful. She paid $85 for these nails, even after bringing all this behavior and how horrible the nails turned out to the owner nothing was done to try to make the situation better. 2 years since I've been to this place due to having a bad experience... got a text for 10% for birthday... decided to go for a pedicure. Idk why I even decided this was a good idea lol. The lady did everything great except the polishing... left thinking it looked fine and then maybe hour later I could see polish shrunk. Went back 3 days later to have fixed... Lady had stated regular polish doesn't last as long as gel and it's not my fault if they chip I'm going to fix it now but if it chips again it's on you. I told her I'm not here b/c there happens to be a very small chip on my pinky toe which YOU half painted... I'm here b/c there's multiple toes that have shrinkage and clearly weren't painted thoroughly. My big toes and some others literally you could see both coats of paint and the top coat. She got mad and started crap about me to the worker behind her. I could hear her saying "chip" ... and idk idk. I left unhappy again added an additional photo where you can see coats of paint. A bridal party and I came here for rescue after being treated very disrespectfully and having a disastrous time at another nail shop just north of here. The owner was super nice and her staff welcomed us and got us right in, even though it was the very end of a busy Friday.
