I'm a former Wilmingtonite now living on the South Shore. When I found myself a few doors down from PPP, I visited the store to stock up on pierogi--honey hot chicken, traditional farmer's cheese, and new-to-me- chicken bacon ranch. I even picked up some opłatek (Christmas wafers akin to The Eucharist) for my elderly Polish uncle. The back kitchen was humming with workers and I was greeted by a delightfully cheerful young lady. The store contains all manner of Polish specialties (which change with seasons) and a few cute novelties like pierogi ornaments and guest soaps. I stopped in here the Sunday before Christmas, and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to find, as well as the plentiful parking. I was greeted shortly after walking in, and the guy behind the counter was great at explaining all the things (including best way to cook his products). The pierogi selection was on point - I was really surprised by the mix of more traditional flavors (e.g. potato and cheese) vs. more modern takes (e.g. north shore beef). Both were delicious! I also picked up some golabki, or stuffed cabbage; they come four to a pack, and were very tasty. I also picked up kielbasa - but we ended up freezing it since I bought WAY too much food. Found this driving by to my nieces field hockey game and just stopped in. I'm so glad I did. It's a Great place that you should absolutely stop at. Everything I got was frozen that you cooked at home. We had three types of pierogis that were excellent. Regular, pumpkin and pulled pork. The fresh Kabasa was the winner of the show. Some of the best pierogis I've had anywhere. At least in a restaurant or store. Some made by relatives were a little better, but that's not fair. The potato and cheese is made with real farmers cheese and potatoes cooked with the skin on. You can taste it. No bland pierogis here. The mushroom and goat cheese were also great, with tons of flavor. The kielbasa is completely home made in house. Most restaurants buy sausage from a butcher because its hard to do well. Here they make it from scratch and they know what they're doing. I mistakenly overcooked the first batch because I forgot to set the alarm on the probe thermometer, but still had almost no fat leak out. No notes. read more

Went to polish pierogis with my family after apartment hunting . I've been on the search for YEARS to find pierogis comparable to the polish stand at the Lowell folk fest , no idea who makes those but if anyone does let me know ! The shop is so cute and the owner was so extreamly nice and passionate about his business . I got 12 cabbage pierogis for about 16$ I believe and I ate them all that night . They were really great , I wish they had fresh ones to buy because I think I lack enough self control to have to go in every day for lunch . Would definitely recommend . read more

The traditional cheese and potato pierogi was fresh and tasted excellent. Everything here is made with care, you can see how the dough is being made in the back by hand. They cut, fill and pinch pierogi daily. The pierogi Recipies are from the grandmother of the owner. We liked the mushroom and cheese. And the kielbasa will blow your socks off. They make this fresh on the premises. My Polish friends were impressed with the food. Pierogi is vacuum packed and you gently heat at home. This is not a restaurant you take home your Polish treats. After Polonus in Salem closed, I needed a new-go to place for pierogi, kielbasa, and other polish foods. Polish Prince's food is outstanding, but even better are the convenience and friendly customer service. I'll still miss Polonus, but I'm thrilled to have found Polish Prince! read more

On Thursdays during the summer, the Tewksbury Community Market (in the library parking lot at the corner of Chandler and East) includes a Polish Prince tent where you can buy the pierogies. Unfortunately, you can't enjoy them there, you have to take them home, defrost them, and cook them. But it's worth it! Based on recommendations, I went with the Buffalo Chicken pierogies. They have a great/authentic taste with a nice amount of heat. I think some kind of sauce to accompany them - bleu cheese maybe? - might make the taste even better, but I can certainly make something on my own for those. These packaged pierogies come 12 to a pack ($15), so you may want to purchase a variety of them. read more

Today we bought meat pierogi. My husband prepared them w caramelized onions and sour cream. Heavenly!!! Amazing!!! The combination of flavors and the freshness of the pierogis made for an exquisire dinner. We also bought some sweets and they are so light and fresh!! We will be back. read more

I found these pierogies during a pop-up at Brewery Silvaticus in Amesbury and I'm glad I did. These pierogies were delicious. I appreciate that they are not too big. I love the dough--it's almost fluffy, but still slightly thicken. I tried the buffalo chicken and the more traditional potato and cheese. The buffalo chicken had a nice bit of heat. The traditional version is good, but might need a sauce or some other seasoning. They fry up with a nice sear to them. The staff was fantastic. Polish Prince offers a variety of flavors and I look forward to trying more. read more

I've never had a pierogi before but I may never try another as the Polish Prince versions are magical. We tried the traditional cheese and potato as well as mushroom/cheese and finally buffalo chicken. All were gobbled up promptly. I would only ask for reheating instructions from the Prince as I've seen a few different options online. read more

I stopped in earlier and picked up 2 packs - one potato & cheese and one sausage. We just cooked the potato & cheese and they are absolutely delicious.
