I was greeted shortly after walking in, and the guy behind the counter was great at explaining all the things (including best way to cook his products). The pierogi selection was on point - I was really surprised by the mix of more traditional flavors (e.g. potato and cheese) vs. more modern takes (e.g. north shore beef). Both were delicious! I also picked up some golabki, or stuffed cabbage; they come four to a pack, and were very tasty. I also picked up kielbasa - but we ended up freezing it since I bought WAY too much food. Excited to find this place, as I'm always looking for good Polish food (especially around the holidays!)

I even picked up some opłatek (Christmas wafers akin to The Eucharist) for my elderly Polish uncle. The back kitchen was humming with workers and I was greeted by a delightfully cheerful young lady. The store contains all manner of Polish specialties (which change with seasons) and a few cute novelties like pierogi ornaments and guest soaps. Cooked off the chicken bacon ranch for my NYE dinner and WOW! My new favorite, particularly when schmeared in sour cream!

We chose to start our meal with the borscht and Solyanka. Both soups we served with a shot of house infused vodka. We devoured both and enjoyed them immensely. Next we had the chicken Kiev with mashed potato. It was perfect. Tender chicken stuffed with garlic and herbs that gushed out gently when cut Into. Amazing We also ordered the pozhasrky cutlet. Served with mashed potato. It was decadent. We finished with a shared dessert of sour cherry vereniki. Tender dumplings filled with sour cherry and served with a sweet cherry jam and sour cream. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We can't wait to return and sample some more.

The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming, and our server, Liza, was absolutely wonderful. We didn't even realise at first that it was a Russian restaurant--and despite a wedding happening in the back, they invited us in as if we were longtime friends. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between classy and comfortable, with a genuine family feel wrapped in elegant décor. The drinks were excellent, and although I didn't order the soup, I learned it's served with horseradish vodka--so naturally, I had to try the vodka on its own. It was fantastic. They also have live music on the weekends, which just adds to the charm. Highly recommend this place, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. .

I had the wurst teller and substituted the side of fried potatoes for a side of the cucumber salad. The sausages were very good, and the portion of sauerkraut was generous. Small Bavarian flags are strung everywhere making it always ready for Oktoberfest, regardless of the time of year. The service was very good and friendly, offering to answer any questions. In our case, we were a 16 year old teen from Germany, and I've lived in Germany for two years. My spouse and I have visited many times. All the service was prompt without being overbearing. The food was good. The schnitzel was very good (pork schnitzel), both with and without the wild mushroom sauce. The potato salad was a little weird but tasty; never had potato salad quite like that in Germany. The spätzle was very tasty, but rather huge chunks. It's normally a lot smaller and more uniform, using a Spätzle-Hobel. This looked more like the dough was broken up by hand. Again, still quite tasty. Wine and beer selection were good, with most things sourced from Germany.

If you were there in the past year (& if you'd never tried their Polish food before) .. you may have been disappointed ( as I was) as they were temporarily using a local vendors foods. It was nowhere near as good as what Pulaski has always made & thankfully, they are back to making their own!! We spoke with Rachel, a very sweet lady who came out of the back to see how we liked everything... I told her only 1 complaint.. the foods just a little TOO good! Lol Rachel makes the pierogi & golumbki & does an excellent job at both! Our waitress ( sorry I can't remember her name) was also great & apparently she makes the kapusta, which was also very tasty. The dining room is clean though dated, however the bar is on the other side & completely done over & appears they did a nice job. Casual atmosphere, great food & service.

I'd make the trip again just for the buffet and forget the family and the Big E!!!!!!!!!!!!!
