The chrome nail I desired was definitely not what I received. I realize it may have been my fault for choosing a chrome color that is not labeled with the color polish. I requested more of a white with pink tone unicorn look and this is barely noticeable chrome even in lighting. My nails were cut super short and uneven with sharp edges that won't poking at me. Not sure if it was rushed as the receptionist did approach and ask how much longer the technician will since there is another customer waiting (she was filing and buffing during that time). I came to this Nail Salon in Clovis on a whim as I needed my nails done. I have tried one in Fresno which they are pretty good but I live in Clovis and I like to stay nearby just as a preference and this place was open and decided to give them a try on a whim. This place had pretty good reviews too! The location was easy to find and upon entering I was greeted by the receptionist who immediately asked if I had an appointment. I didn't. She inquired with the owner Mary for a few minutes and the receptionist came back and asked what I wanted which was take off my full set and new set. The receptionist informed me to have a seat near the owner Mary but not at her booth. I was seated within 5 minutes and my nail technician Linda came over a few minutes later on the phone. She initially didn't acknowledge me as she was on the phone FaceTiming someone which reminded me of other nail salons. I was patient. She began to work on my nails. About 10 minutes later she got off the phone and introduced herself to me and treated me like a human being not just "another customer". She was very respectful and polite and let me know she was talking to her relative. We seriously hit it off really well! Pretty much talked the whole time. She gave me the run down of the place and which nail salons to avoid. I love that she was a people person, very entertaining, fun and has 11 years of experience. She was not happy with the previous salon who did my nails as the shaping was off which I agree. Linda was very knowledgeable, communicated well every step of the way. She let know if she needed to get up and leave and the reason why. It was not busy at all but they only do appointments ONLY. She said they do not hesitate to turn people away so I would recommend before stopping by to call first to see if there is availability or be prepared to be turned away. I got lucky and she agreed. I am happy with my nails. Linda did apologize as she didn't remove my nails as requested and shared that next time she will. Which I will be back in a heart beat! They were busy. I had an appointment I made at the beginning of the week and they called me today to make it later. I arrived early and was sat down at a table shortly later. It was a bit much. The person that started doing my nails got up twice to help others. Isn't that why you make an appointment? Then got up again and this time switched out completely and a guy took over. He was nice. Then, after my nail gels were taken off with a drill, the girl came back and put foil on my nails. While also stopping to answer the phones when they rang. Then put foil on my nails and said they needed to sit in foil 5 minutes. I ended up waiting tripling the time she said while she talked and helped others. Wow. :( Then, she never came back. I was moved with the guy that drilled my gel off and was with him to finish. He took off the foil and drilled a little more. At least they had WiFi I got connected to. He kept using these podium things to do my nails on. I've never had them in prior nail experiences. Luckily, my nails turned out the pretty "halo-gram"sparkly I wanted and the service was nice. I absolutely love coming here and getting pampered by Donna. She is the only person I see here at Polish'd. Finding her was fortuitous. Her amazing work and talent speaks for itself. I used to bite my nails and came in with nubs. Donna worked her magic on me. I love how gentle she is because I've had rough experiences else where. With Donna, I was able to let my nails to grow out nice and healthy. This time I asked for a minimalist water color flower and she did just that. I don't usually go to that area of town, but since I was there I thought I might as well find a salon where I was at. I was pleasantly surprised at the interior of the salon, it seemed updated and I liked the look of the bar. I just got a basic gel manicure, and I am pleased with how it turned out. I liked that the manicurist put 3 layers on, because my last couple experiences they only put on 2 layers and it ended up chipping soon after. We will see how these hold up over the next couple weeks. They were able to get me in fairly quickly without an appt- but keep in mind I went on a Monday morning. The price for the gel manicure was $30, which was a little pricier than what I'm used to. I usually pay $25 in the north part of town. Hopefully they last for the price I paid. read more

My mother, sister and I went there for a late mother's day present. We got there a little bit early and had to wait. While waited we couldn't help but notice how dirty everything was. We almost walked out! There is dust everywhere, trash under all pieces of furniture , even an empty water bottle under a cabinet, easily seen by customers. The place had not been dusted in months! If that is how what's visible is, I don't even want to think how their equipment is. The furniture is falling apart and it looks very run down. That's not even the worst part of the experience. My sister and I have chronic health conditions. When she asked for her toe nails not to be cut, but filed, the guy made a face and told her her nails were too long to file. They were not! He kept asking if she was sure and kept insisting with getting them cut until she gave in. Of course the whole time he kept talking to his workmates in their language and making it very obvious they were talking about her. During the massage she asked that only slightly above her ankles was massaged, because any higher is very painful. This time they were all openly making fun of her and teasing her, as if joking. When I told them it was a health condition, they finally shut up. They were so rude!!! The guy that was working on my mom, and the lady working on me, kept being sarcastic asking every five minutes if we were ok. The lady burned me both with the temperature of the water and with the hot wax. Then got upset when I said it was too hot. I have been to this place before and every experience has been unsatisfactory. However, this was the very last time. Besides the awful experience, their prices are very expensive!!! I went in for a gel pedicure. The girl in the front desk was great, good customer service. But my gel pedicure did not meet my expectations. It has uneven coats, top coat all over my skin leading to the who gel polish to fall on the whole nail. It's disappointing to pay and leave with a unexpected result. read more
