TERRIBLE! DO NOT GO! I had an appointment at 9:30. It was 10:00 before I asked what was going on and 10:15 before they started. They tried to pressure me into nail tips because my nails were​ short. I had to refuse 4 times. They charged $75 for a manicure and hard gel. They finished the nails then cut my cuticles calling that the manicure. $257 for 2 mani pedi's (with 10% off) I'm only giving one star because a manager tried helping me! I'm absolutely shocked at the experience i had there today. If i didn't have a child with me i would've SNAPPED! After repeatedly telling Juan the man who did my nails, they were too chunky, messy, uneven and i just wasn't happy, he was so rude! Kept yanking my hand after the fact of me telling him i was unhappy. My nails looked AWFUL. The manager did stop what she was doing and repainted my nails for me. She was very nice and apologized! The customer service was horrible. My friend and I decided to go to this salon because of many of the positive reviews and we were unable to go to our normal salon. I made the reservation for 2 of us to get nails done. There was initially no one at the desk when we checked in, then they brought us to the tables for us to do our nails. They had one to start on mine but my friend waited for 30 minutes before they came and then made her move to the end of the row where we were no longer able to sit and talk while we got our nails done, which defeated the purpose of us having a girls day and ruined our nail salon visit. Then, there were two other females that came in together about 15-20 minutes after they moved her and finally started working on hers but those two got to stay together and were able to have their nails done at the same time. In addition, they never talked to us or said anything to us, never offered us a drink or even asked what shape we wanted the nails. They did the flat nails rather than the round that I would have preferred. My friend wanted a design on hers but they never even asked her if she wanted a design. We definitely will never go back, even if we cannot get into our regular salon that we normally go to. We will wait until we can go to our normal one or at least choose someone else. Customer service is just as important as the quality of service to us and the customer service was terrible. read more

Worst pedicure of my life. Was seated 30 min after my appointment. Got the "express pedicure" how ever this is more like a polish change. With a damp towel. This took $15 min. I paid $5 extra for cuticles because that wasn't a part of the pedicure. No scrub at all despite the listing, no lotion, and they bent my friends slides back instead of just putting their flip flops for pedicures on. THEY DIDNT EVEN FILE MY TOES. I went in to get a manicure and pedicure on a Tuesday afternoon. It took the the girl over two hours on my pedicure, then after about an hour of her trying to paint them they ended up cut crooked and the polish not done correctly. Another lady came over and did my nails and they ended up not being painted all the way down. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. This place is just crazy. Every person I have had has cut my fingers. I have been 4 or 5 times. I got acrylic gel nails with tips and pedicures. I've tried 3 different pedicures. A few days ago I got the express one for $35. it lasted 4 minutes max. I will NEVER go there again. My nails were $64. For what i would pay $35-40 any sane place. That's just outrageous. They also leave tables and chairs open together and bunch you up in a cluster, that way you can't sit with whoever you go with. I have been with my aunt 3 times and have never been able to sit with her as we get our nails done- With appointments.... I just really hate this place. I have been four times, as some have said it's hit and miss according to who you get. Of the four I had only one good experience. The last will be my last. I have been getting dip polish to help my nails transition from acrylics. This last time I was left soaking in acetone (nothing was coming off) not even changing the color of the liquid. I explained and showed her only to have her add more acetone. Same problem... I took my hands out , polish still on. By then the damage was done... this has been two weeks and my fingertips still hurt and skin peeling. Just saying, if you need you're fIngerprints removed for any reason this is your place! If you want fast service this is not the place. You really need to book an appointment to get in quickly, because even then you will be waiting. I've been here a few times and every time the place is packed but I'm not really sure why. The staff are very inconsistent. You can get one tech that does a good job one time, the next they are horrible. They do not take their time and rush through often forgetting steps in the process. I have had to tell techs "aren't you forgetting this?" I have had MULTIPLE poor experiences here to the point I will not go anymore. The owner is rude and often has arguments with her staff at the front desk. She has also skipped my name before while I was waiting. When I confronted her she told me I was lying and that she had called my name. (I was sitting as close to the desk as possible.. she did not call my name) I will say... if you do go here and get lucky with a good tech- get their name and only book with them. read more

Okay let me get out of my feelings and be more objective. The north side Polished is very big, easy to walk in and get in a chair. However, it is very rushed because of that. Equipment is clean. Lots of color choices. They do dip, gel, acrylic, tips. All prices are listed online. They apparently have complimentary champagne? I've only been offered that once out of my two visits. You also can't tip at the same time as checkout. It has to be separate to the tech on their square or with cash. I had one of the petite Asian girls the first time. She was nice and not rough at all but the dip was super thick. It lasted about 2 weeks and then it started to lift. In comparison, I get about 7 days with gel so that's probably pretty good in comparison. The second time, I had Johnny and if it's not already clear, that was a disaster. read more

I will never be here again. Brought my mom for Mother's Day & it was an awful experience. Got a pedicure and our feet got to soak for 3 minutes and then they started working on them. The lady was rough with my cuticles because she was in such a hurry.. Took about 20 minutes for a pedicure for both of us. Then the lady doing hers rushed her to the manicure chair, didn't even give her time to put her shoes back on. So she was walking around barefoot. Then the lady that was doing my manicure cut the crap out of my finger, didn't put them at the length I wanted them and none of mine or my moms were even. This place may not be glitz and glamour, but it's the absolute best nail shop in Jackson! Staff is very friendly and will quickly offer complimentary beverages. The bowls are always freshly lined for each client and the tools they use on you are always sterile and/or brand new. They have a very nice color selection for regular and gel. Also, the chairs have great built in massagers. I had a very bad experience at another local nail shop who used dirty tools on me and **Cana** at Polished fixed my nails up like never before! They look incredible, I've never had anyone pay so much attention to detail. My feet feel so clean and soft, and she did a great job on my cuticles. I also came in at 6 and they close at 7, she spent over an hour working past closing time on my nails. I never felt rushed or uninvited. Everyone was very professional and courteous. Finished reminded wanted pedicure also - done very quickly - basically nail clippers only as I sat sideways in the chair. Both poor quality work. Not sure if they know now to do a good job ... or just don't care. Paid and not going back ... got to be a better place who cares about the service experience. I have been to this salon many times, I have always had a great experience except for the last two visits. I scheduled an appointment for my hair to be colored and I wasn't sure of the lady's name so they spouted out a name to which I assumed they had looked in the book as I asked for the same lady I had previously. I was wrong. I showed up and was told that the lady they scheduled doesn't even do hair! I rescheduled with another lady, who I again asked for the first lady I had and so today was my appointment. Appointment was at 10:30am to which I waited thirty minutes later and then the lady came, but was not the lady I had before and she had no idea she even had a hair appointment. I'm not a fan of laziness or unprofessional personnel in business, so I'm sad to say I will not be coming back. It's a shame cause I really did like the nail people but they are easier to find than a salon. Sad that it had to end this way. At first, I was impressed. The salon is well-appointed, exceptionally clean, and busy. They do take walk-ins, but unless you make an appointment, be prepared to wait. I came in on a Monday morning around 10 (30 minutes after opening), and still had to wait an hour for service. I got the liquid gel nails (fill-ins) and gel polish. Apparently they only have one person who can do this. My nails looked great when I walked out of the shop. However, less than five days later I had lost the nail on one thumb, and the other had started to lift from the cuticle. At two weeks out, I've lost both thumbs and the middle finger of my left hand. I was told at the salon that this type of nail was stronger than my usual acrylic, which routinely lasts me a good four weeks without lifting. This was the first shop I tried after moving here from Atlanta. I've had acrylic nails for over 20 years, and never have I had such a short-lived nail service. I'll not be returning. This really made me miss my old shop in Atlanta, or really, any reputable shop that takes its time on a clients nails. read more

Pedi consisted of soaking my feet for about 3 minutes, drying them off and shaping toenails ..barely and applying nail polish.. $35.00. I can do that at home. Had acrylic set put on - had rough edges, manicurist seemed very busy talking to others, no lotion, hand massage.. tell you had bad it was .. for both pedi and full set- I was out in under an hour and that was also waiting on the manicurist to finish another client and waiting for my pedi. Way to expensive. The few times I went they charged $70 for acrylics with no designs (keep in mind the $70 price was after my apparent "discount.") The customer service is decent with a few of the nail techs but a few of them seem stand off-ish and snobby. Don't bother asking for any kind of design that isn't incredibly basic because they don't have the tools to do it despite the big price for their work. Very nice clean nail shop! Machaela is the best at the pedicure! Only comment is the gel machine dryer is horrible . Both times she has had to struggle for it to stay on! This was my first time coming to polished salon when I walked in they had a variety of nail polish which was great. I didn't know we had to make an appointment so we just waited for only 10 minutes! I got my nails done by Kim and she did a fantastic job. She was very nice and didn't rush me to decide which color I wanted. My nails looked amazing and I was very thankful Kim did them! I have had my nails done for years. Not sure if this nail tech was busy or just extremely new. He kept saying your busy I'll hurry. I was not busy and not in a hurry and I told him this. I did ask how long the wait as my husband dropped me off to run a few errands. He never hand buffed my nailed after her did the fill. He never said to wash my hands after he filled my nails. He never asked if I wanted square or round or wanted them cut down. He only put nivia on one hand ???? Again I have had my nails done for years. I asked for OPI Cajun shrimp gel. Not sure what I got. I think I went under the light once each hand. He never used alcohol to reduce the sticky spots. I had to ask him to file at the end because the nails were so rough. I actually came home and put a clear coat over my thumb because it looked like a clumpy mess. I came in around 100pm and sat to the right second chair from the end. Lexington doesn't have a lot of salons but I will never come here again. Total waist of 45.00. I typically tip very well. But not this time. Again not new at getting my nails done and you salon is usually a pleasant experience. read more
