My hubby loves to be in motion. He's truly into fitness, both for the mind and body. He's been…read moresearching for something that challenges both. The answer is... rock climbing. I looked into several rock climbing spots near us and even asked friends for recommendations. One name kept coming up: The Gravity Vault, an indoor rock gym. We met a lovely person at the front desk who explained everything in detail. For walk‑ins, they provide all the necessary equipment along with an instructor for two climbs. They also have a bouldering wall, which you climb without a harness. No need to worry about falling as they have sturdy mats to cushion your landing. Another option is staff belayed climbing, where you get a full hour of top rope climbing with an instructor. You be climbing on their impressively tall wall. Look up... or down! Personally, I've never climbed anything that high. You do need to book that one in advance. It looks very challenging and we're definitely game. During the orientation, we learned about their membership options: one‑month, three‑month, or annual passes, with different pricing for adults and youth. You can save quite a bit with a family membership. If you're unsure about committing, they also offer day passes or a 10‑visit pass, with or without equipment included. They have a neat row of cubbies for your jacket, shoes, and other belongings, plus snacks, drinks, and clothing available for purchase. There's even a small gym near the front where you can lift weights or do some light cardio. I inquired if that's extra and the person stated it's included with the membership. The person at the front desk also mentioned they're currently running a Groupon special and suggested we grab it to save some money. Will do and thanks for the tip!

The setters did a phenominal job as providing an assortment of options for every climbing level. Everything is super clean, locker rooms have showers, and there is even a ping pong table, chess board, and a weight room. You can easily spend a full day here.

I never even knew a place like this existed in the heart of Plainsboro. This center offers TONS of…read moreclasses for relaxation, yoga, drum circles, etc that you are bound to find something that interests you. Check out the website and you can find out the latest gatherings. The only time I have come here was for the Gong Bath with Marco Dolce. A friend of a friend highly recommended Marco and his Gong Bath. I have never tried anything like this before but for a $25 fee I figured it was worth the shot. I had been feeling very stressed out with work and life so I was hoping this would help calm my anxious nerves. I contacted Michelle (the owner - super friendly and kind) and reserved my spot. I was told to bring a warm blanket and pillow and to wear socks. When I arrived I set up my space alongside the other participants. Some women brought huge quilts and numerous pillows, they were obviously no Gong Bath rookies and looking for a calming night. After the class was set up Marco explained that he would be playing the Gong and other instruments for about an hour. We were instructed to lay on our backs facing the back of the room in order to gain the most benefits. He played the instruments and I was waiting to be taken into a deeply meditative state... unfortunately that never happened for me. I noticed most participants were sleeping but I don't think sleeping equals meditating. I honestly do not think I would do this again. I do not believe there is a huge difference from listening to a gong live or on a cd. For me, it had the same effect. Even though I did not really gain anything out of my Gong Bath I would be willing to try other group meditations and drum circles with Michelle.

I had an amazing Reiki experience with Michele. She is extremely gifted and I'm so grateful I met…read moreher
