I also appreciate how she begins the class by asking if anyone needs help in any area and works towards it. She is sure to warm us up in the beginning of class and cool us down as well. I love when she comes over and basically give me a little mini compression massage while we are stretching at the end! A friend of a friend highly recommended Marco and his Gong Bath. I have never tried anything like this before but for a $25 fee I figured it was worth the shot. I had been feeling very stressed out with work and life so I was hoping this would help calm my anxious nerves. I contacted Michelle (the owner - super friendly and kind) and reserved my spot. I was told to bring a warm blanket and pillow and to wear socks. When I arrived I set up my space alongside the other participants. Some women brought huge quilts and numerous pillows, they were obviously no Gong Bath rookies and looking for a calming night. After the class was set up Marco explained that he would be playing the Gong and other instruments for about an hour. We were instructed to lay on our backs facing the back of the room in order to gain the most benefits. He played the instruments and I was waiting to be taken into a deeply meditative state... unfortunately that never happened for me. I noticed most participants were sleeping but I don't think sleeping equals meditating. I honestly do not think I would do this again. I do not believe there is a huge difference from listening to a gong live or on a cd. For me, it had the same effect. Even though I did not really gain anything out of my Gong Bath I would be willing to try other group meditations and drum circles with Michelle.

Unfortunately I echo many of the other reviews on this site - poor customer service and employee training-resulting in terrible customer experience. I recently went to the spa for a massage. Upon checkout the receptionist told me there was a note on my file for 20% off my service. She reached out to the spa manager who indicated since there was no name or date on the note that they should ignore it and did not honor the discount. When questioned they said that it was an employee error. Seems like the customers bear the brunt of all employee errors--I did send a note to the GM - Hayden Duffy. I look forward to a response.

But what happened on August 5, 2025 made it clear this place isn't just mismanaged -- it's hostile. I was quietly using my phone when a newly promoted manager confronted me. I complied immediately, but she escalated the situation -- chasing me with a duster, calling the police, and banning me from the gym in minutes. Let's be honest: if I were a different race or personality, this situation would've been handled differently. Her actions were clearly racially charged, power-tripping, and disproportionate. Instead of a verbal warning, she weaponized her authority and humiliated me publicly for doing nothing aggressive. Planet Fitness brands itself as a Judgment-Free Zone -- but this location has shown me that only applies selectively. There is no system of fairness here.
