    Just lovely

Anyone else longing for days gone by when life was much simpler? Less florescent lights and big box stores offering mass produced meats and products, more small businesses offering locally raised meats and garden grown produce from a backyard nearby...what a thrill to find Polk's Folly Farm, a butcher who's honed his craft and provides that intimate customer service experience...this is exactly the kind of business I want to connect with and support and see thrive. So many delightful local goodies, cheeses, jams, honey, fruits and veggies, breads, spreads and even more...I picked up some ground lamb and shaved lamb for gyros, but couldn't resist walking away with some local plums, pears, tomatoes, carrots, celery, string beans, greens, eggs, pesto, butter...my patronage belongs here!

Limited time Christmas sausage, I think we got one of the last packages for the season.

What a find! Haven't been in the area for years, so glad I was able to stop in this market. Not packed with unnecessary stuff but has plenty to choose from. Not able to stay in area for too long so only picked up some produce and the delicious Christmas sausage links, great flavor. Now I know where to go for produce, meats and other local delicawhen I come back!!

This place is a diamond in the rough! I've lived in the mountains for almost 2 years and have wanted to stop in this place every time I pass on Hwy 14. Today Finally became that day. I'm not extremely familiar with their hours year round. Rather, I was overcome by the vast variety and network of meats, dairy, eggs, flour, kimchi's, produce grown locally, and honey. The Polk family took some time to go over all that is sold through their store (locally produced) which I thought was above and beyond. They explained that they choose very carefully their suppliers. They must meet certain standards in order to sell through their store. I bought 2 steaks, green chili cheese curds, and some cucumber kimchi. I came home and couldn't wait to try that cucumber kimchi......ohhhhh, so good. Well seasoned and spicy. I shook it up to mix it. Popped that bad boy open and it fermentation bubbled up. They also told me as I left that they stand behind the products they sell. Cannot wait to try the rest of my goods.

Pork chops and local HOT rub!

Great meat, definitely stock up here if your planning a big barbecue. I've gotten ribs, leg of lamb, brisket, and some killer steaks here.

    * Lovely farmers market with lots of fresh produce offerings and stands…read more *Not a lot of fresh / made to order food stands * There are a couple coffee shop options - didn't try them cause I was already caffeinated- but just in case you find yourself needing some morning joe- options exist at the market area! * Indoor and outdoor space with vendors- and indoor tables to sit and enjoy your purchases * Had a delicious Green Chile sausage from Lotus Farms *Got apricots from the Rancho L Lam stand that were so good and the vendor was so friendly. *Got quiche from Crumppackers and bread from the Intergalactic Bread Co to take back home. * The Santa Fe Farmers City Hall sells pastries and baked goods from various vendors and perfect for a one stop shop! * In addition to food/ produce/ eggs etc, there were artisan stands with artwork/ clothing etc. * Across the street is the el Mercado that opens a hour after the market opens with additional stands that sell beads, jewelry, clothes etc. * Totally a fun thing to do on a Saturday morning when visiting Santa Fe! Highly recommended

It helps so there isn't as much crowding while you're trying to go through. I have been to farmers markets in multiple states, but I have never seen one with a gift shop! That was very interesting to see. The market itself had a nice array of fresh produce, food, and artists' work. It was cool getting to see them roasting fresh chile and the band that played was soo much fun! The best booth for us was Dancing Turtle Studio. Absolutely stunning pieces of art and my guy bought me one of the hot air balloon pieces to commemorate our 1st anniversary. It honestly couldn't have been more perfect! The artist herself was incredibly sweet and wonderful to talk with. It was amazing getting to hear about her process as well!
