Holy Shite !!! What happened here? The best Middle Eastern food I've ever eaten in the middle of the desert / East Mountain !! I have no idea how to explain how good this is!! You've had Gyros and Shawarma before Be prepared to HAVE YOUR MIND BLOWN !!! OK, so I got the mixed grill which has beef, chicken and Gyro meat . HUGE Has the first word I can use to describe this! And then the taste testing begins EVERY BITE is PERFECT ! The rice is great. The pita bread is great. The hummus is incredible. The tzatziki sauce is great. If you're not a fan of Taziki sauce, they also give you three other sauces, including hot sauce, garlic sauce for the chicken and tahini. Just take a look at my photo !! They serve this gargantuan platter with salad as well. A nice Greek salad with onions, tomato, some feta, etc.. Can I give them 10 STARS Incredible flavors on all three meats ..great rice. The salad is awesome. The sauces are awesome. So I found this place cause literally I was getting tires replaced next-door I stepped in here and my buddy Tim, who became a fast friend ! gave me good advice and I went with the mixed grill and the incredible coffee I cannot rave enough and say more emphatically that this is so great it will bring tears to your eyes ! We ate a late lunch at Flamez today and it was delicious. We had the Chicken Sharma and Gyro Plates. The meat is tasty and tender and the rice is fluffy and the side of a Greek salad is fresh and crispy. We have eaten lunch there 3 times this past month and everything is consistently good. Service was kind and quick when we stopped in. Helpful when asking questions too. Decent seating for the space and they have highchairs. Several vegetarian options. Food.. was ok.. to be honest I was a little disappointed based on the reviews.. I got the falafel plate. The flatbread was fine but nothing special to be honest it tasted like something I could buy off the shelf at the grocery store. The hummus to me needed more flavor. The falafel's were fine, flavor was good. But over all I left being underwhelmed and we haven't been back since... I'm not sure if it was just the night we were there. I love Mediterranean food but this was just not it. It missed the mark for me. But as far as service and ambience, I would rate them high. I was just was not a fan of the what I got. Opa! Happy first birthday to Flamez Fusion. The area was lucky when an entrepreneurial family with Jordanian and Greek roots brought Eastern-Mediterranean style ethnic cuisine to the East Mountains last year. (We still miss the Chinese restaurant that was across the street from Flamez.) Flamez isn't cheap, but there are only a handful of dining options in the area, and they're not cheap either. It seems that everything is more expensive these days, especially between Cedar Crest and Cerrillos on the Turquoise Trail. Flamez isn't the Greek Islands restaurant in Chicago, but I'll be generous and give them five stars, mainly for location, creativity, atmosphere, friendliness, and effort. read more

Yum! The food is spectacular! I loved the dolmas ; bright, tangy, and delicious. The falafel was so fresh and not oily. Our server, Tim, was very friendly and welcoming. The setting is clean, and relaxing. I am definitely going back soon! read more

WOW FACTOR? Yes, very good and eager service. Best dish was the Greek salad. Usually I'm not so interested in a Greek salad, but this one was really wonderful.Excellent Baba Chanoush (really good) but not enough pita for the order. Needed to order and pay for more pita. HAVE AGAIN: The gyro plate was very good but I prefer having the meat within a pita. Rice was ok. "Greek tortillas"? Very odd and the shawarmas seemed too small. NOT HAVE AGAIN: We tried the three desserts. The baklava did not have enough honey. Rice pudding was ok, but somewhat runny. Harissa was interesting but not enough to have again. read more

If a Mediterranean restaurant can't get the hummus right, there is rarely a redeeming factor on the rest of the menu. This statement rang true here. Hummus was inedible it was so bitter. The dolmas came out of a jar/ can. Falafel was dry, dense and burnt. Chicken swarma suffered the same fate. Maybe its the location, there has yet to be a successful resturant there. read more

Such a joy to find fluffy falafel. Delicious. The Greek salad was fresh and the dressing had the right hint of lemon. Lamb kebab served on fluffy rice ... so glad the east mountains has this gem of an establishment. read more

Great addition to the cedar crest area. The flavors were delicious and fresh. I had the gyro and everything about it was perfect.

We had great service and quality food in a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant based on service, food, and price.

Vacationing in the mountains for a few weeks and happened upon Flamez Fusion. Simone was our waiter and she was full of suggestions, personality, and the restaurant's backstory. The menu is quite straightforward with what appears to be four different types of meat presented in various ways. First of all the hamburger Patty, and second are the trio of chicken, gyro and beef, and those fried chickpea balls. I'm gonna talk about everything except the hamburger patty. This restaurant is a nice new addition to the culinary scene in Cedar Crest and my wife and I had a decent meal there last night. It still strikes me as really strange that even after being open for a while, they serve black olives instead of Kalamata olives in their salad. The hummus and Tahini are quite good and flavorful. The chicken and beef are tasty. I would probably be back quite soon if they served a decent amount of rice with their food. I had no pita, asked for extra rice, and it was still quite paltry... expected a bit more for the $20+ entree. So, not without some qualms, but the service was good, the menu is great, and the food was delicious. read more

Love that we have a REALLY good new option in the East Mountains. I especially recommend their hummus and babaganoush.

Service was god awful got seated pretty quick it was just me and it took about 10 minutes for me to get a menu. Had to get one myself waited another 10-15 minutes to get my order taken. Food was fine but with an hour of me being there no refill read more
