Wood-Cooked, marinated chicken! Yummy in my tummy! Definitely had that Peruvian flavor, I truly enjoyed. Opted for the "family style" set up which consisted of a while chicken + 2 large sides. I opted for the Parmesan-garlic french fries and beans/rice combo. The fries were niiiice and crispy; full of crunchy-garlicky flavor. Surprisingly the rice was good to, with its mixture with the beans. The rice was more like a type of sticky rice, I liked. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful, you can really taste the wood fire-taste, this came with two different dipping aioli sauces. While neither of them were spicy, I preferred the orange sauce because it had a thicker consistency. There were several food trucks to choose from. I walked by and read each trucks menu. I decided to try this one out... Pollo Inferno. They specialize in Peruvian style marinated chicken that is charbroiled. Despite the namesake of the truck, I didn't order any of the chicken dishes. Instead I ordered the steak bowl. It was 5 oz of sliced charbroiled flank steak served with salad and fries. $13. The salad was delicious. Quality diverse fresh ingredients, great flavor combo with a nice crunch. The fries were hot and crispy just the way I like them. Yum. No oily mess. But the steak was dry and a bit tough & chewy. Darn. However, I still do think about that beautiful and delicious gourmet salad. They are a relatively new food truck. So possibly still working out the kinks. Updating my review to say that in addition to the Chicken Lomo being delicious, they've started selling Koobideh (Persian ground beef kabob)! It was flavorful and delicious in a pita with cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions on top. Add some white sauce or yogurt and stuff some of their delicious french fries in there, and you're golden! New Food Truck to try out! The two smoke stacks on the top of the truck filled the streets with BBQ aroma and tantalized hungry eaters. Pollo Inferno specializes in Peruvian style marinated chicken over a wood charcoal grill. They also serve beef and shrimp. I ordered their main specialty - Chicken Lomo (stir fry bowl). It had stir fried marinated chicken with green onions & cherry, over a bed of fries, lightly fried white rice, and gourmet salad. Make sure to order a soda, goes well with the BBQ. I was impressed by the number of staff in the truck, usually there are only two people and receiving my meal would take longer - but not Pollo Inferno. I received my dish within 5 minutes after ordering from the friendly cashier. The French fries were thick with a soft crunch and the fresh off the grill warm sliced chicken was tender and I tasted the Wood BBQ with Every single Bite. I did not expect them to make a home run! Pollo Inferno has become one of our favorite food trucks this year. We love that we can usually find them pretty close to home and they have consistently good food. They are also very accommodating of our children who want the proteins but none of the garnishes or extras. The rotisserie chicken is my favorite thing from them. The marinade is SO delicious and the chicken is juicy. Be sure to get their dipping sauces too, they are both sooooooo good! My son will eat two containers of the chipotle one in one meal. Stopped into Blue Note for a refill on our Keg and the smell had us intrigued. A very friendly and knowledgeable man about the menu approaches us and seals the deal for us with "Best Chicken ever I promise you!" Not disappointed one bit, might even return for dinner it was that good! I had the loaded steak fries. Steak was medium, sliced thin and not shy with quantity between fries, steak or toppings. The chicken and steak is grilled to perfection. The food is so tasty and clean, not bogged down with too many sauces that cover up the flavor. Salad with pickled onion is basic but so refreshing with the flavorful meat. I usually order extra meat because I like it so much. Waited 2 hours for dry, burnt, grilled chicken. The cashier didn't put the orders in order so they all got mixed up and a ton of us waited 1.5-2 hours for chicken that was not cooked via rotisserie. The head chef was sweating like a pig and wasn't wearing gloves. I watched him touch dollar bills then proceed to grab a handful of fries for a customer. Ok so maybe last night was an off night for the truck after reading reviews. This truck was a little weird. No menu, just a handwritten sign saying "chicken steak shrimp" then below that said "over rice and salad". Simple enough so we ordered, my husband had a combination of steak, shrimp and chicken box, and I had a chicken box. The chicken was dry and tasted like straight char that's all I tasted. The steak was extremely tough. The shrimp was dry, it was basically all dry and charred to death! We didn't get any sauce besides the mystery ranch, none of that chipotle sauce that's on their actual menu. There were quite a few people complaining about sesame seeds on the food. We didn't know it came with seeds because there was NO MENU with descriptions of ANYTHING. If you are not prepared to serve what's on your actual menu why even come out??? I felt like we got ripped off now that I come to Yelp to see what the food is supposed to look like!!! read more

Was excited to try this place and was completely disappointed with the quality and flavor of the food. Ordered two items totaling $50, way overpriced for burnt chicken and overcooked steak. Both of the dishes that we ordered, we got because of the description so we were completely disappointed when a lot of the toppings were not included. Since we paid with a card, we received an email receipt and on there we were asked if we enjoyed our meal. We said no and stated why. After leaving the review, the owner or worker, who ever received it said that we could've just gone and talked to them and they would have fixed the issue. The thing is, we drove there just to try them out and went home with the food. We drove 25 minutes one way through traffic to support their business so the disappointment was real. They came recommended by a friend a while ago. Finally got to try their food in downtown Sac today. Their rotisserie chicken is one of the best chicken I have ever had.
