What a great place to go out with family! It was a rainy weeknight and the restaurant began filling with families celebrating a school promotion. The carpets and quiet vibe helped. The servers also took it in stride. Our server worked several large tables, so there was a little wait. His hustle did earn a pretty decent tip. The food was also pretty good. read more

I've been coming to LongHorn Steakhouse for over 10 years, and it's still worth the 30-minute drive every single time. The food is consistently fantastic, but the real star here is Jen at the bar. Jen is hands-down the best bartender. If she's there, I don't have to worry about a single thing. My order is always perfect, my drinks are always amazing, and the service is absolutely top tier. She's genuinely a joy to be around--friendly, welcoming, and just glowing with great energy. She makes the whole experience feel special every time. The food today was incredible, as usual. The Outlaw Ribeye was perfectly seasoned and cooked to a flawless medium rare. The broccoli was fresh and flavorful, the French onion soup was rich and cooked to perfection, and the Redrock shrimp remains one of my all-time favorites. We also ordered the corn on the cob and the 10-ounce salmon with the bourbon marinade, which was truly chef's kiss--tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Just had lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse at 4100 Town Center Boulevard in Bowie. We ordered steak, brussel sprouts, mac&cheese, and stuffed mushrooms. All the items were cooked to perfection and served with warm bread & butter. The Watermelon Marguerita was wonderful. I give it an A+ for menu options, drinks, service, and ambiance. Long time customer but today was a disappointment. All of our orders were well undercooked. Both medium burgers were rare as well as the medium steak we ordered. Yes, the orders were taken back and cooked longer but when they were returned they were well done. We went for an early dinner so it wasn't busy. Perhaps someone on the grill was in training. Really disappointed because it threw off the whole meal. By the time our meat was returned the rest of our food was cold. 6.15.25 I called earlier to see how to get added to the waitlist for 4:45 today for a party of 8. Niami added my name and said that when I arrived to check in. I also received a text with a link. My hubby and I arrived at 4:30 and five minutes later our table was ready. Considering today was Father's Day, I was really impressed. Our server was Carson. He was very friendly and took great care of us. He started by taking our order for drinks and brought out complimentary bread. Then he took our order, but given that it was a holiday, it took a while before we received our order. Not sure if it was due to the long wait, but a few of us received fries with our entrées. I was happy about that! I ordered the ribeye, medium rare and for my sides I selected the strawberry pecan salad (up charge) and loaded potato. Everything was delicious. We were all happy with our order with the exception of my nephew who found a strand of hair in his mashed potato. No big deal, he sent it back and asked that it be replaced. Some of my family members had leftovers which is great so we could make another meal out of them. Went with my mom and sons a couple of days ago and had a great experience. Not only was the food good, but what stood out to me was the phenomenal service from Rashelle. I was disappointed with my experience at LongHorn Steakhouse in Germantown The host was friendly and welcoming, which was a great first impression. Unfortunately, the food and service didn't meet expectations. My fries were served cold, and the food presentation was poor. For a restaurant like LongHorn Steakhouse, I expected the meals to look much more appetizing and well-prepared. My girlfriend ordered a grilled chicken salad, but the chicken was not fully cooked, which is a serious food safety concern and unacceptable. The service was just okay. Our server wasn't rude, but we felt overlooked. We asked for to-go boxes, and despite walking past our table three times, he didn't bring them until much later. Overall, while the welcoming staff did a great job, the quality of the food and the lack of attention from our server left us disappointed. I hope management addresses these issues because customers deserve better. read more

This was my first time back at long horn in a really long time. Let me start off by first saying that the food was actually very good and would definitely come back for their steak and Mac and cheese for sure! Got their artichoke dip as an app, ribeye with a sided salad and Mac and cheese, and for dessert a chocolate cake with ice cream. Also, they have really good prices for bottled wine for a sit down restaurant. Our server was VERY nice/ friendly and was constantly checking up on us. Now, I give this place three stars mostly because of their ambiance. For starters they really need to dust the place. I know that sounds weird but where we were sitting there was wine bottles as decorations and there was so much dust it was kind of.. gross. Also while we were there, there was a big argument/ disagreement you can hear from the dining room that came from back-of-house. Everyone was staring and it was a bad look. And lastly, because they close at 11pm they put everything in before they close and while we were still eating (our super late dinner) our server pushed for dessert and we ordered some, but they brought it out while we were still eating our meal and the ice cream started to melt and we felt rushed. Although our server was so kind and told us to take our time, it also kinda felt like they were trying to rush us (also this was a Friday night). So if everyone is trying to leave, maybe don't offer dessert . Beside that food was very good! read more

About a month ago, my wife and I visited this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. It was a special evening for us. The restaurant was not very busy, and many tables were available. We were seated in the very back corner of the restaurant, right next to the restroom entrance. I later noticed that we were the only Asian customers there. Another Asian family was also seated, and both of our tables were placed directly next to the restroom entrance. I tried not to overthink it at first, but it was hard not to notice that most of the other guests, who were white, were seated in more central and visible areas of the dining room. Seeing that the only Asian families were seated by the restroom made me feel uncomfortable. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but it left me wondering whether the seating decision was intentional. In addition, I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well, and the edges were quite overcooked. The server and staff were kind and friendly, and I appreciate their service. However, the seating experience and food quality affected our overall impression, especially on such an important occasion. Food was good. Service was passable considering the Friday night rush at 6:30ish. We had to swat away the fruit flies buzzing around our food. They were landing on the table, the walls next to the booth. Even told the waitress about the flies and she gave a new small loaf of bread. Took time to report this to the manager as we departed. All she said in response was, "Oh, those flies.". She rolled her eyes, looked away and continued to fill another soda for some customer. No apology, no effort to make things right. Food here has always been my family's go to dinner restaurants. We love steak and this place knows just how to cook it to our liking. My go to is always the outlaw ribeye here with either a side of mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli or a house salad. My family always sticks to getting the grilled t-bone or the outlaw as we like our steak with these cuts. Service here depends as I've been coming here for years and they've been changing management often. Sometimes we have outstanding service and sometimes its alright. The ambiance here is really dark though and I felt like it got darker inside throughout the years. Sometimes it even makes if difficult to read the menus at our tables so that's not great. The interior decor is all decked out with Wild West cowboy decorations. Very Texan cowboy vibes. read more

We used to have every family birthday at this location, for years. We stopped going to the Germantown Longhorn due to having a terrible experience every time. When we go to the north, we always go to Texas Roadhouse, which we will do from now on. Tonight, my wife wanted steak, and we decided we did not want to drive far, and against our better judgement we went to this place. I ordered a chicken dish knowing I could not get a good steak. It was decent, and I had no complaints. My wife ordered the ribeye, medium, and when it came out it was closer to rare and was so hard to cut, and full of gristle, that we had to send it back. The server seemed upset and bothered by our complaint, and instead of saying she would get it remade, she asked what we wanted her to do. My wife mentioned it was a sirloin, not a ribeye, and she told us that a sirloin is round, and it was a ribeye. No clue what is going on there, but we know our steaks, and if you are calling that a ribeye, you are ripping people off intentionally. We decided to bump up the price and get the 6oz filet, medium, and when it came out, it was raw. Mind you, it took 20 minutes to have it remade and I was done my dinner. The server became argumentative when we told her and then showed her it was raw. She stated it was medium/medium rare, and clearly became frustrated with us, which was my last straw, and I went off on her. She told me not to talk that way and left. The manager came, agreed it was raw and asked what we wanted to do. I told her I had wanted to eat dinner with my wife, but I ate alone and just get us the check as we were done. If you cannot cook steak correctly, twice, I have no faith a third time would be better. I cook steak medium all the time, and I can nail it every single time. How is it this steak house cannot? She walked away and said she would take care of it, and after 10 minutes, we had no idea what that meant so we just got up and walked out without paying anything. No way I was giving anymore of my time, even waiting on a check. I will never go to any Longhorn again. read more

Longhorn in Germantown is my go too resteraunt for my specialties. I love the loaded potatoe soup with extra toppings, broccoli, sweet potatoes. I also dine and have an occasional steak. We like Longhorn, the food is usually consistently good. We went there a few weeks ago on a Sunday, for lunch. The service was a little slow, but in all fairness they were understaffed with only a few waiters/waitresses covering the entire restaurant and they were hustling, so grateful for that. The food was very good, I had the 12 oz ribeye, with loaded baked potato (perfectly cooked) my daughter had the filet with rice (steak was perfectly cooked/rice kind of plain but steakhouses are not typically known for rice), and we shared the firecracker chicken wraps (always nice to have). Generous portions, we actually took some of the app home, because we were full. Ambiance is also always nice. They could do a better job with dusting the areas around tables. The burger was perfect in flavor. The lunch time crowd is a little busy so expect a struggle with service. Our meal took so long I had to take a bite before writing my review. We asked for lettuce wrap the bartender said it was possible and brought us two of these. Definition of a picture being a 1000 words. Love this location! Even on a busy Friday night the service was quick and our server was on his game- drinks stayed full. Food came out quick and exactly to everyone's liking. If you look at the pictures, you can tell we are big steakhouse mac n cheese people. If you haven't tried it, let yourself gorge on the 600 calorie deliciousness. Also, they have a parmesan crust chicken, BUT, you can request this same parm topping on your steak for an additional $2. Sooo good. Restrooms were very clean as well. I wish there were SIX STARS! Seated right away for a late lunch on Friday. SHAWN, our waiter, greeted us immediately with a welcoming tone and smile and took our beverage orders, returning quickly with bread and butter. Delicious. I gave Shawn our names and he used them respectively through the dining experience. I asked about the steaks and the lamb chops... a great deal on the lunch menu. He recommended the lamb chops. My wife ordered the potato soup and a house salad. We were extremely pleased with the presentation, the quality and the taste of the food. I left the prep temp on the chops up to the chef, and they were perfect. The quantity was so bountiful that I could only eat 2/3 of the meal, saving the rest for a delightful movie at home snack. Shawn made the experience wonderful. A native to the area, myself moving back to marry my high school sweetheart, Shawn shared some of the many changes to the area. I remembered the area as farms, one I even grew up on. I digress... but rest assured, that THIS Germantown location for Longhorn Steaks, will not let you down. Since I knew the founder years ago, when he had one location, and he helped me with my charity of choice, March of Dimes, I have dined in many of their locations. And forgot to bring something, but remembered after being reminded. 3) Don't get the white balsamic dressing, it has a weird aftertaste (or did to us anyway) We had 2 steak and lobster meals, one chicken fingers meal, dessert and a few drinks (beer and sangria). Wow!!! It had been over 13 years since I've been to Longhorn, I don't remember why I stopped going. We did carry out today and it was perfection and well priced. Fresh warm bread and butter, very fresh salad with dressing and croutons on the side, got the filet and lobster tail, perfect!! They included clarified butter and the loaded backed potato was hot and fluffy, my steak cooked perfectly and to end we had strawberry shortcake and it was the perfect finish! I've visited several LongHorn locations across different states, and this is by far the worst experience. I went with my wife and ordered a medium-cooked LongHorn steak, while she got a well-done ribeye. After waiting 40 minutes, they served us two well-done steaks. I pointed this out to the waitress, and she offered a replacement. Another 20 minutes later (by which time my wife had already finished her meal), my steak arrived, but it was inedible--burnt, flavorless, and unseasoned. When I raised the issue, the manager showed no apology or accountability, simply taking the dish back without offering a replacement. This location ruined my evening, and I won't be coming back or recommending it to anyone. read more

The food here is actually so good and so much better than Outback (and maybe just a tiny bit better than my beloved Texas Roadhouse). I'm not a fan of the free bread but it is baked fresh but I would recommend passing it and getting the Wild West shrimp which comes with cherry peppers! The Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts are my recommended sides and the meat here is cooked great. Overall, I wouldn't recommend coming to this location based on two key factors: service and cleanliness. Our waiter was slow in service and it was not busy. For example, we didn't get water until about 20 minutes into the service and they were MIA most of the time. We watched other tables be attentively served. Thankfully there was a QR code to check out on our own. Secondly, all of our silverware and plates had stains, i dont know if it was hard water stains or not but it was very off putting to see it wipe off when we scrubbed it with the napkins. I went last night and had such a great experience. From the moment I walked in everyone was very helpful and nice. The host opened both doors which was very sweet because I had two little ones. We have a new favorites my husband and I share. The stuffed mushroom, Brussels sprouts and the Longhorn porterhouse. My husband used to hate Brussels sprouts but now he love 'em but only at certain restaurants who prepare them well. Longhorn does it very well. It has honey and crunchy-I don't know what magic they do with it but it's good! I love mushrooms and this stuffed mushroom is loaded with cheese-I went to heaven and back- loved it so much! The porterhouse steak was very good but I'm not a big steak lover so I thought it was good-we got it medium rare. It came to us exactly as we wanted. The drinks were well prepared too-I got frozen margarita and he got vodka and cranberry. They were not stingy on the alcohol that's for sure!
