Chadol has become a regular spot in my rotation of restaurants. Since my initial visit years ago, the restaurant has really perfected its menu. Some of my favorites: - Brisket - Pork Jowl - Steamed Egg Custard - Fried Dumplings Chadol and its staff do a great job at servicing large parties. I have been reservations here several times and we are always seated right on time as long as the majority of our party has arrived. The staff consistently check on their tables, bringing extra water, ban chan, etc. as we ask/need it. This is a very family friendly restaurant, I love bringing my family here. I've been wanting to try this kbbq place for awhile now since several of my friends recommended it and I finally got the chance to check it out and WOW this is officially my new go to place to get kbbq. Everything was great from the attentive service and staff to the quality of meat. I really like the fact that they have an a la carte option because personally I cannot do all you can eat since I get full pretty quickly lol. The best AYCE KBBQ in the dmv in my opinion. The brisket there is actually comparable to à la carte style. Also, the price to quality ratio is amazing especially with the variety of cuts you get from beef, pork, chicken/seafood. They also have sides to order and ramen which is cooked perfectly every-time. Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks this is the best KBBQ in the area! We love the quality and variety of meats. The best meats in our opinion are the Curry Pork Belly and the Galbi Marinated Short Rib. The Galbi is one of the premium meats so it's extra if you're getting AYCE, but we came during the Christmas-NYE promo and had it included in our AYCE. It doesn't look appetizing in the photo but IT IS INCREDIBLE. Seriously, our whole table said the galbi was the best. We also like the bulgogi when we ordered it the first time around, but the second time we got it it less flavorful. One note about the sides (yes I'm a sides girlie at KBBQ), but the steamed egg dish is not included in the AYCE. It is $10/each. My favorite items off the AYCE menu were the curry pork belly, the brisket, and probably all the steaks. The steaks in particular were very tender and flavorful. Overall, I was happy with the variety of options for AYCE. I wish we had room in our stomachs to try the shrimp! On the side, I enjoyed a soju flight of four flavors: yogurt, strawberry, grape, and peach. Our waiter did a great job keeping the grill clean the entire meal. He regularly visited and also helped out with some of the cooking of the meat. There was no wait coming in before 5pm on a Halloween Friday. Some of the best quality meats I've had for AYCE KBBQ in the area. The cuts were consistently well-marbled with just the right amount of fat, which made everything juicy and flavorful. My favorite was definitely the seasoned top blade - just salt and pepper, but once grilled and cut up it tasted like tender, juicy steak bites. The sauces/dipping options were a little too mild for my taste- the mayo dip and the soy sweet sauce felt a bit muted. Personally, I prefer bolder, more savory flavors in sauces to cut through the richness of the meat, so I found myself trying to eat more kimchi and pickled radish to give each bite that extra zing. Another trip to Chadol to celebrate a family friend's move to NYC. As usual, we got various assorted meats (mostly beef, some spicy pork) and lots of side apps (egg custard, seafood pancake, dumplings and corn cheese). Plenty of food to go around, and lots of fun on the grill. The meat is high quality and the sides are authentic. This is still my go-to for Korean BBQ in MoCo and this last visit cements that sentiment. We came here for a family dinner to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday, and it was such a fun night! We forgot to make a reservation, so we ended up waiting about 40 minutes. Luckily, there were benches outside which made the wait more manageable, but I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We went with the all-you-can-eat BBQ option (you get 90 minutes), and it was worth it! Since it was a really busy night, the service was a little slow, so my tip is to order most of your meat selections upfront to save time. Despite the rush, our server was super kind and very accommodating, we asked for so many side dish refills and he kept them coming with a smile (thank you!). We came here with a large party of approximately 20 to celebrate a birthday. We were able to make a reservation in advance. The majority of the group must be there to be seated. We did the all you can eat (AYCE) dinner option. For AYCE, basic banchan was included, but some sides that I'm used to being included cost extra - the steamed egg and corn-cheese are my favorites but are a la carte. There are other appetizers that are included to make up for it - salad, french fries, ramen (comes in spicy and mild), fried dumplings, soy bean soup, and white rice. The banchan was plentiful - service was helpful to refill them on request - but they were slow to bring out the meats, which is the main event at a KBBQ place. There was a variety of meats to choose from, and you will leave stuffed. I enjoyed the brisket, top blade steak, bulgogi, curry pork belly, and pork jowl. They also have shrimp and chicken options. We are capable of cooking our own meats, but I was surprised at how hands-off they were. Our cooking tray got blackened pretty quickly, and service never came to wipe or replace them. They have a good ventilation system in place - after eating dinner, you don't leave the place smelling like KBBQ. They kept delivering food out, was very timely and overall a great experience. There are some more unique options, between 18 people we had one large table and then two smaller ones. It was crazy how much we went through, but the sides and food were good. It turned out to be roughly 67 per person including all the drinks and additional sides people added. We went with the $45 all you can eat dinner, not to gorge ourselves but it just made more sense being that it included side dishes. Included with your selections of meat are things like Ramen, rice, fried mandu and others. We ordered a steamed egg for an additional charge. We were craving pork belly (samgypsal) so that was our only meat choice. Premium ribeye and other higher quality meats are available for an additional $28. We elected to grill our own meat. We arrived ariund 730 on a Saturday and had to wait about an hour for a table. We sat at the bar and ordered soju and I had a lychee martini, which was so delicious. We went with the premium meats and started with brisket, which was good, but simple. It was perfect with the veggies and sauces that were given. The rice and soup was delicious! My husband had two rounds eventhough we told him to save room. We then had the marinated boneless short rib, which was marinated perfectly and super flavorful and tender. We had a reservation for 7 but they canceled it because someone dropped out last minute, which is fair but then we had to wait 50 minutes before we could get seated and they kept telling us 10 minutes. Better meat quality than probably 50% of other all you can eat Korean barbecue places, but their service was so slow. At six people at a table they limited us to three plate plates per order at a time and we had to finish "a good amount of it" before we could order again according to our server. Our server told us to get the chicken and I have never gotten chicken at KBBQ. It was middle of the road but better than other places. Still, don't get it. I was still hungry and they made sure to kick us out after 90 minutes. They are very strict with the time constraint and they were heavily understaffed to be able to get our 3-plate maximum order at a time. I have never eaten more than half a bowl of rice at an all you can eat Korean barbecue, but I finished my rice because I was still hungry. They did not refill the banchan even. I think I've came here like 6-7 times in last few months. This is our go-to spot for Korean bbq. Probably the only AYCE Korean bbq that I personally enjoy going to. The service is great; the servers are very attentive and the food comes out pretty fast unless they are super busy. We always do the all-you-can-eat option. For an AYCE, the meat here is really good; it's high quality and fresh. It never smells bad or looks weird. One of my favorite things to order over and over again is the brisket; the brisket here is probably the best out of all the other AYCE kbbq places that I've been to. The banchan we tried wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. I'm unsure as to what each one is called, so this will be based on description. The potatoes and pickled radish were good, but on the sweeter side. I did not like the fish cakes and the kimchi was so/so. This is personal preference, as I'm sure someone else might say they had the perfect bite. I enjoyed the rice. We didn't order drinks but I was tempted to, especially when waiters walked by carrying one. They were beautifully crafted. My only "complaint"? They didn't have a sauce bar, but this isn't a place that would look good with a sauce bar. It would throw off the entire vibe, so instead a range of sauces to offer would make up for it. Andrew is genuinely one of the best servers I've had anywhere. Super professional without feeling stiff, really easy to talk to, and just completely on top of everything. He managed the grill perfectly the whole time, paced the meat so nothing felt rushed or slow, and kept the heat just right without us ever having to ask. Our table never sat empty either. Banchan refills came out fast, drinks stayed full, and everything just flowed. What stood out the most was how seamless the entire experience felt. You don't realize how much that matters until you have someone who does it this well. It made the whole meal way more enjoyable. Tuesday 4/8/2025 I've had this spot on my list for a while, and I always see this spot when I go to the One Life Rockville gym. My good friend Jared recommended this spot for dinner, so I moved it to the top of the list. I don't go to Korean bbq spots very often (this is maybe my 2nd or 3rd time), so I'd say I'm relatively newer to it. We got the all-you-can-eat dinner for $41.51, where you had unlimited servings to choose from meats like beef, chicken, and pork, sides, and seafood. The service was good: the waitress gave us recommendations and explained what everything was. You have a 90-minute limit for your time at the spot, and fortunately, we were able to stay for 3 hours with no problem, so shoutout to our waitress. I tried nearly everything except for the chicken, as the waitress and my friend both said it wasn't worth it. The beef was the best, the pork was a mixed experience, and the seafood: shrimp was alright, but I did not enjoy the experience of deshelling it. We visited Chadol in Rockville for Korean BBQ on a Friday night. They offer AYCE and a la carte options (even some that aren't listed on the menu). Service: The wait was 35-45 minutes to get seated, which was expected for a busy Friday night. When we sat down at 9 PM, the staff clearly mentioned that they close in an hour--fair enough, since we weren't doing AYCE. Food: The meat quality looked great, but the grill was a major issue. Even on the lowest setting, it was way too hot, burning everything before we could cook it properly. It really took away from the experience. The banchan (side dishes) were delicious. You can also order a soup and a few sides like fried dumplings too. Sauces were good. I'm not sure what the pink sauce was, but it was sweet. I've been coming back here more often as it is really close to my home. Before they had ala carte pricing, but now, they do also offer an AYCE offering. Guess they have to compete with all of the other AYCE places, especially the hot pot places (so many in Rockville!) that has bbq grills too. Sad to see Honey Pig vacate Montgomery County, but glad to be coming back here for my kbbq fix. The AYCE menu is fine, except its missing the kalbi. For that, we do order it separately. The lighting here is much brighter now, which is most welcomed and the service here has vastly improved through out these years. The quality of meats and the marinade for their galbi you can't beat. I wish they brought back the larger soups and egg dish, as both come out in such small bowls. At least you get a hot bowl for the egg dish, unlike Iron Age, where you have to cook it on the grill (occupies some valuable space!). read more

Yesterday we had a group of seven and one infant at dinner at Chadol and everyone left full of smiles, yes, even the baby. There is an all you can eat menu available, but my group opted for a la carte. We ordered 2 orders of pork jowl, spicy porkbelly, marinated short rib (galbi), boneless prime short rib galbi, and brisket. Service was great, our server constantly checked up on us and ensured we had everything we needed. Everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the pork jowl, that is a cut from a pigs cheek, it has a nice texture to it and when crispy. You can never go wrong with the boneless prime short rib galbi, as it was done cooking it disappeared from the grill extremely fast . Alongside the meat we ordered we were provided with banchan, korean side dishes such as kimchi, mashed potatoes, salad. These are traditionally provided in korean meals. So-so experience. The place is overpriced for the amount of food you're getting. You can get twice as much quality meat for half the price in other restaurants in the area. At the end of the meal we ordered shrimp and they brought us 5 for a party of 7 people - laughable. And that was for all you can eat premium price. Chadol originally stood out to me as a place that offered high quality a la carte menu items that were very much clear about focusing on a philosophy of quality at a reasonable quantity. This was not the place to come to pig out with a group, this was the place you brought a date to have a delicious and impressive high end KBBQ experience. In recent years they've added an AYCE side to their menu and since then I've felt that Chadol has still maintained a strong level of quality, but it's a definite decline from its starting days. Quality meat. Really great place for kalbi. The stews tho - what the heck. The tofu soup is a joke and the kimchi chigae needs work.

I went to Chadol for a weeknight dinner and was not disappointed. I ordered from the all you can eat menu and got pork belly, brisket, and shrimp among other things. At most all you can eat Korean BBQ places you end up sacrificing quality of meat for the all you can eat option, but not at Chadol! Chadol has both a wide selection, good quality cuts of meat and a decent price. The service was great with the waiter asking whether we have had Korean BBQ before and accessing our comfort with cooking ourselves. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the dining room isn't loud enough that you can't hear the people you're sitting with. Overall, I think Chadol is one of the best all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurants in the area. read more
