One of my favorite foods is grilled chicken, so I was really excited to finally try this spot. I've passed by it plenty of times on my trips to Peñasco, and this time I made it a point to stop in. The food was simple but delicious: juicy grilled chicken served with beans, rice, and a creamy macaroni salad. For drinks, the options were mostly bottled sodas along with refreshing Jamaica and Horchata, which serves perfectly with the meal. Between four hungry chicas, we devoured everything on the table leaving no left overs. The service is different than what you'd find in the U.S. it's not the bubbly, constantly checking on you kind of experience but friendly in a more laid-back, authentic way. Honestly, it matched the atmosphere perfectly. The place has that Mexican charm, with an open-air setup that lets in the breeze and gives you a relaxed, local feel. It's also conveniently located, and fun fact: it was actually recommended by one of our taxi drivers, which made me trust . If you're in town and craving some local classic Mexican grilled chicken in a lovely setting, this place is it.

Words cannot describe the dining experience at Pollo Lucas. The chicken is grilled and seasoned to perfection so that every bite was better and better. The fresh tortillas were a great compliment to the food and added a further home taste to the food. The beans, rice and salsa added to meal and this plane a can't miss ejem looking for great flavored food. The chicken delicious and made you want to keep eating. The beans and rice are something you will keep you wanting more. If you visit puerto Peñasco be sure to eat here. You will regret missing this meal.

Best place for grilled chicken in Puerto Peñasco. Served family style with tortillas and toppings. Beans and rice are extra but cheap. We bought two chickens plus sides and it was plenty for five men. Rustic atmosphere typical of street restaurants in Mexico. Staff only speak a few words of English so it's better to switch to Spanish if you can speak it. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back next time I'm down there.

The consistency of the pollo asado and all the sides keeps us coming back for more. The pollo asado is marinated in citrus, its juicy and prepared fresh all day long over an open flame, until they run out for the day. I prefer to eat my food under the palapa, but it travels well and reheats nicely for leftovers after a night on the town. The side items include refried beans, rice and macaroni salad. Homemade tortillas come with every order as do the shredded cabbage, red onion, limes and salsa. You won't regret stopping by this spot, on busy weekends they do run out of chicken and beans early because everybody gets ones for here and one to go. Enjoy!!

Long tables bathed in smoke from the grill. Uniformed staff run around taking orders, delivering food and drinks. A boss with readers mans the cash register and observes everything going in and out. The asaderos at the grill and moving chicken from hot to cool to hot again, as necessary. The customers are a mixture of Mexican tourists, American tourists and locals. There is only one dish on the menu - grilled chicken, or pollo asado. The chicken is not spice rubbed or coated in a sticky marinade. I only tasted salt and pepper and smoke on the chicken which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The sides of rice and beans are a must. I found out the beans contain chipotle and chorizo and wouldn't be shocked if they used chicken fat too. The soft flour tortillas that allow light to penetrate and common everywhere in PP were hot and ready to receive a little chicken, some beans and rice, some skin and some salsa for a perfect bite.

Amazing chicken, tiny bit greasy but would come back forsure. Tortillas were incredible (flour). But the best part was the beans and rice they were so good! It was just hot simply because this is a restaurant that's basically ina massive tent. Would be a five star review if it was inside with AC lol. Super friendly service. Would definitely come back

This is a no frills place but the chicken is great. The prices are fair so it doesn't break the bank.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

We had…read moreactually seen a video about it on YouTube before our trip, and when we checked into our hotel, one of the employees also recommended this place for their buffet. So, of course, we had to give it a try! We tried a little bit of EVERYTHING, and there were so many options. They had pozole, picadillo, chicharrón en salsa verde, beans, rice, pancakes, and so much more. They also have an omelet station tucked into the corner. I completely missed it during our visit, but now that I know it's there, I'll definitely be checking it out next time! For our table, we decided to get just a little bit of everything so we could all taste the different dishes. I literally took about a spoonful of each of the meats and dishes because I wanted to try as much as possible. Everything we tried was delicious. They also bring handmade tortillas to the table, which is always a huge plus for me. They have aguas frescas available at the station as well -- jamaica, tamarindo, and an orange drink that reminded me of old-school Tang. And I have to talk about the desserts! I'm not really a dessert person because I don't like pastries that are overly sweet or sugary, but these were REALLY good. We got one piece of each and shared them around the table so everyone could try them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. The service was excellent, the restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The decor is really well done, and there's this gorgeous brick dome in the center with a beautiful chandelier that really adds to the whole aesthetic. It gives the restaurant a really nice, authentic feel. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Restaurante Lolita. Great variety, delicious food, handmade tortillas, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in Puerto Peñasco! I'll definitely be back and next time, I'm NOT missing that omelet station!
