Unfortunately Chilakiles like many places with great reviews are based on a lack of experiences and most reviews are based on emotionalism! I really wanted to like this place and share the great experience with the world but all I took away was a supersized disappointment with a side of wasted money. We ordered two orders of Chilaquiles with the red and green sauce, one with carne asada and the other with two eggs over medium. We were the only ones in line and that was a bit concerning but it was Friday at 10:30 am. The orders came out quickly and we retreated to our car for some intimate car dining. It felt like Xmas as we opened up our heavy container filled to the brim with anticipation! I started on the green zone and felt the kick of the spice and concluded that this spice was a bit over the top. Typically spicy isn't an issue as long as the flavor holds up and keeps me digging in. However, the spice was overwhelming and the sour taste of the tomatillo in the sauce kept sinking my experience deeper and deeper into the abyss! I decided to move onto the red sauce and it was better but just barely better. All I kept thinking was how disappointing these Chilaquiles were. I know that food like Art can be subjective but after a certain point the subjective opinion is just an opinion. Then you have to compare all chilaquiles to all the other chilaquiles that have graced your pallet. Los Chilakiles is full of disappointment and hype!

It's been awhile since I've tried any food truck but when I spotted Al Sazon Food Truck near my…read morework and saw pupusas, I knew it was time for another food truck run. They specialize mainly in pupusas but they have other offerings as well such as fish tacos and quesadillas. I had my heart set on pupusas though and stuck with ordering that. The prices on the pupusas are cheaper if you order more. If you order one it is $5. Two is $8. The best bang for your buck is to get 4 for $12 and that is what I chose to get. They've got a variety of different flavors but that particular day they didn't have some of them. My coworkers were looking for their seafood special pupusa but that wasn't available and I wanted to try their squash blossom but they didn't have it that day either. I chose to get instead two pupusas with pork, bean and cheese and two pupusas with spinach and cheese. I like how they make their pupusas fresh right after you order but it does take a long time! It took about 20 minutes to get my order. The pupusas are nice and warm though when they come out and so it's really tasty. The pork, bean and cheese and had a lot of beans and not enough pork so that was a little bit of a bummer but I really enjoyed the spinach and cheese. The spinach and cheese was like a warm quesadilla with soft cheese melted. Both pupusas were big in size. Overall if you're craving pupusas, this truck is not bad.

I decided to try out their pupusas. I had a cheese pupusa, thinking it was going to be super cheesy…read morebecause it was $5 for 1 pupusa. Biggest mistake ever. The guy at the window said they are big when I questioned the price. I said okay. He was right they are big but extremely thin and flat. The pupusa only had cheese in the middle and the rest was all dough. The cheese in the middle was like a pinch of cheese too. I was very disappointed with my lunch and regret spending $5 on a hand made tortilla. I posted a picture where you can clearly see there is no cheese in the cheese pupusa. I will never eat at this food truck again.
