This is a food truck in front of Ritchie Valens park. I only come here on Tuesdays for their 5 for $5 shrimp taco special & they taste great! I pair it with avocado and their fresh red salsa. I'm always greeted & wait time is about 5-15 minutes for these tacos. Area is a little sketchy so I either wait in my car or at the stools in front of the truck. Overall, I rate it 5 stars because you can't beat the price. read more

TERRIBLE, RUDE, AND SO DISRESPECTFUL!!! The older hispanic man at the front provided the worst service I've ever had in a long time. When I arrived, there was one person in front of me who had already been waiting for their order. Okay, I thought. Let me wait behind her. The worker inside the truck REFUSED to acknowledge my presence and never said hi or even looked to see that I was there. Ok, he might be busy I thought. So I continued to wait 15 minutes for him to be done with the order and then hand it off to the lady waiting. In the time I was waiting in line, 2 other people had started lining up in back of me. I thought finally my order would be taken but instead, the worker continued to do god knows what! I heard him texting on a phone, water running, and then I didn't hear anything for a long time. I was dumbfounded waiting there, mind you, still waiting to ORDER. At this point it's been 30 minutes waiting to even put in an order. The lady behind me who is also waiting asks me, "Did you already order?" and I replied "Nope, he hasn't even said hi or give me a second or anything." The lady was stunned as she was waiting for a long time as well. The lady and the man behind her ended up returning to their car, seeing that I hadn't even placed an order yet nor been acknowledged. As soon as I saw them leave, I thought, why am I still waiting here? About to give my hard earned money to a business I once enjoyed and believed in, that won't even taken my order. Overall, I felt extremely disrespected, disappointed, and upset that this worker didn't even have the audacity to say anything to the THREE DIFFERENT CUSTOMERS he had waiting in line!!!! As a business owner, I would be extremely upset knowing that the man running my food truck is driving business away. This happened May 26, 2025 approximately 2pm. It was so funny watching the line of people trying to order block the sidewalk, go to a non existent line. I even saw the man stick his head out of the truck as we started driving away lol. I will never give my hard earned money to a business that treats its customers like this. And yes, I did try to order through the phone but nobody answered the five different times I tried to call. read more

The best ceviche tostadas in LA! Surprisingly it's from a food truck too! The flavor is amazing and everything tastes fresh. They are also very friendly. I highly recommend the fish ceviche tostadas. They come with avocado and all the fixings. read more

Ordered the $5/5 Tuesday Shrimp Dorado Tacos. Was barely able to eat any of it due to being deep fried too long and burnt. The shrimp empanadas barely had any shrimp but mostly cheese. What a letdown this place is. Used to be good but quality went down. Won't return and rather go to Mariscos Estilo el Nayarit/Camarena or Mariscos el Socio. read more

I went To the Mariscos el Bigoton location on Laurel Canyon and Paxton . It is located right in front of Ritchie Valens Park. Let me tell you that this place is always delicious. Super fresh seafood amazing specials. The staff is super kind. I have tried numerous menu items from the fish tacos to the shrimp tacos, tostadas ! I have been eating at Mariscos el Bigoton for about five years and have followed them every time they relocated. Definitely a must try for delicious seafood in the valley. You will not regret going to this place. They have really cool specials every Tuesday and Thursday on their fish and shrimp tacos. My stomach is growling as I think of them. A plus certainly. The pastelazo is a must Try !! love love love this location definitely five star worthy . Mariscos El Bigotón got variety. Mariscos this mariscos that, they got you covered! My hangry hypoglycemic brain decided to try their shrimp and crab empanadas. I saw an add on instagram 5 for 10 and they looked delicious! I was wrong, 4 for 10, super deep fried with some cheese mayonnaise sauce inside with 2 little shrimps and minimal faux crab. Yea they sucked but my fault. I should have went for a ceviche or fish taco. Maybe next time, MAYBE! read more

I heard good things about this place, also some of my friends on Instagram would post to their story about this place. So I finally decided to go and try it out to see what all the hype was all about. My bf and I ordered 2 shrimp cocktails, 1 fish tostada and a 1 tostada el Erick. The cocktails were good, and the fish tostada was okay, but the tostada el Erick was disgusting. We tried eating as much as we could only because it was expensive but we ended up throwing it away along with the fish tostada as well. I can definitely say I will not be going there again. P.s. I don't know what that brown sauce was on my tostada but gross. I've had way better Mariscos. read more

So, we finally got to try Mariscos El Bigoton and it was exactly what we wanted and was expecting. We hit up the Arleta location on Osbourne St. We decided to not go too crazy with our ordering since it was just 3 of us and its a bit pricey but its seafood. We went for the crispy shrimp tacos, tostada (that is what I got) and my hubby went with a tower thing of amazingness. The food had no flavor, we ordered a campechana, tostada Eric, baja tacos and a tostada mixta. Sadly every item was bland. And to top it off, after spending over $60 on these items we asked for extra sauce and they had the audacity to charge us $.75 for a very small container of this particular sauce. It ok if you're in the area and want some sea food, only thing I didn't like was that the octopus was chewy as F. Over cooked! But aside from that its ok. Shrimp fried tacos has waaay to much sauce on it. By the time I got to the last one it was soggy and wet. They are good but next time I'll ask to not drown them in sauce. The they have a ton of hot sauces for you to choose from. Not a bad place if they tweak it just a little. read more

I ordered the tacos dorados de camarones and it's a big NO. They were crunchy and salsa was good but the filling was a big sad disappointment. It's was mostly some weird thick brown mulch. There was probably 1 shrimp in each taco and was over cooked. I was trying to save time in traffic by avoiding Boyle Heights but lesson learned. Came here recently and was waiting patiently for my tacos from the neighboring truck when I decided to finally give this place a try. I tried the shrimp loaded fries ( I believe that's what they were called). The fries had a nice crisp to them and the shrimp mixture was super flavorful. Had a sweet and salty taste to it. Was a bit pricey but as you can see in the chute the portions are rather large so not mad at it. The menu looked beyond delicious and I can't wait to try more. read more

We got a couple of tostadas and they were ok. Nothing a little salt and more lemon couldn't fix, we also got oysters but seemed off, room temp, no ice on them, nothing. We asked for more lemon and condiments and the girl looked super annoyed. Wouldn't have bothered to write anything but got super sick, don't know what it was from but it was the only food we ate. read more

I ordered the aguachile and shrimp fries and both were great!!! Although the customer service needs a lot of improvement, the young lady who rang us up had a nasty attitude and absolutely loved to slam the door in customer faces lol !!! When I originally started writing out this review I gave it 4 stars but once I was writing about the young lady it changed to 3 stars. I can't stand rude people, the owner needs to switch it up because customer service is a huge part of a business ! read more

I've visited multiple times and the food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Being a family-run restaurant, the service feels personal and welcoming, definitely above average. It's clear they take pride in both their food and their customers.
